this honestly made me kinda sad. Kanye has been through so much and the media is always trying to make him look bad. the day he passes away imma cry so fucking much. Kanye really a goat
He is such an inspiration. I can't imagine music without Kanye West. I will cry like a child when he passes, he is one of the greatest artists to ever do it, he sits on the throne of musicians, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Prince, Kurt Cobain, 2pac, R.Kelly, and Kanye West.
Yet they labor him as mentally ill 🤒 smh Society just don't understand or should I say the majority of society don't understand people that are geniuses
@@mandellorian790there are different types of intelligence, I think Kanye is a creative genius, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he knows anything about politics, or hard sciences, or math. He’s a terrible communicator when it comes to conversation, but he’s much better at expressing his ideas through music, the best way to go about it is to figure out what Kanye is trying to say, and try to get bits of truth out of it. He is much more conscious and grounded in his first 2 albums especially.
@@adamtrott78 Actually I think Ye is truly great at communicating his ideas at times, if you watch carefully his rant while at TMZ or with Sway, you can make some sense out of it and comprehend it as a perfectly tangible idea. He has a way with words in that regard and musically, of course
Mr. Raymond West is a great Father. Never forget him because he is still here and it took decades for this Man to publicly give his DAD the RESPECT which is much revered and appreciated as much as MAMA. Hey Papa !
Same, throughout the years I've been listening to Kanye I've noticed a lot if things allude back to his loss in 2007 and I feel like 'Donda' the album was a way to be closer to her. Especially in the '24' music video. Flying up to heaven and being closer to god all so he can see his mother again. Definitely a story worth telling.
I think that’s the thing he has found peace!! And what does peace look like, we all have different things that bring us peace. Does having different thoughts and ways of communicating those thoughts mean one doesn’t have peace?
The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary. He never interrupted her, he never spoke over her, he took it all in and his mother would say his name a lot which is an excellent form of communication it releases dopamine and the other feel good chemicals in the brain. This burst of excitement makes people happy and sends unconscious signals such as empathy, trust, and compassion to the unconscious brain. They were so comfortable around each other she knew all of his lyrics. Music can be so deep and it's the ultimate form of expression and he didn't feel judged by Donda and she got to know him on a completely different level which is so rare it would be like letting your parents read your journal or your deep and meaningful conversations on social media. He didn't feel judged by her and she loved them all, Donda is his number one fan! When one of them started to smile the other would contagiously. They would rap together and it was pure sunshine and happiness Hey Mama in the kitchen. I get the feeling his mother was beautiful inside and out. This special and vital relationship was just ripped away he still needed her. He will never get over it and I lost my father last year in a way that will leave me asking why for the rest of my life. So I feel for him so much. I am glad he is still gifting us with his stunning music. I really hope that one day he will get his pure sunshine smile back
You put it so beautifully 🥲🙏. Telling from his documentary, it is obviously shown how special and important Kanye mom Ms. Donda was to her son. I pray 🙏 that God will always give him comfort and guidance and healing to prevail against the wicked people who are fighting against him.
I appreciate you so much for this comment. You have expressed my exact feelings here, and so very beautifully. I hate that society acts as though Kanye is not a human being. He has been through a trauma some of us will never experience, losing a parent who actually loves you, such as yourself. My own personal trauma is from having a parent who hated me. I know how that has affected my life. Its been a 30 year process so far. You dont just get over that in a few months. This man experienced a great loss, and married someone who preys on men with mental health issues, and the world is calling him crazy. I believe he is every bit as genius as he proclaims to be, his mom loved him. That type of love is a pivotal foundation for greatness.
I can only imagine the amount of time it takes to research, script and watch all of this footage to compile it into a cohesive video essay, thank you for your time and effort, a wonderful video!

Honestly, this would probably serve as a great application for him to be given a real budget for a doc in the future, could add exclusive interview, behind the scenes, all kinds of stuff to enhance the story, pretty exciting time for this guy daniel.
What sets kanye apart from every single artist today, he is human. He triumphs, he fails, he grows, he breaks down. All other artists go through a filter, if you do see their bad side, it's far from their worst. When kanye falls, we get front row tickets. When he rises, it's a spectacle for the world to see. It's what's made his journey so remarkable. God Bless Kanye. May the future shine bright on him
That's why he is the most relatable artist, his humanity, the flawed humanity, everybody have ups and downs, and seeing an artist living the same thing, it makes anyone feel heard.
Kanye is a genius. And his struggles with mental health and the loss of his mother shouldn't detract or distract from that, but instead, should be met with empathy and compassion.
The problem is, he puts himself in position to not yearn compassion. With his overinflated ego, trying to be understanding and compassionate towards ye can be taken as pity, whi h someone of his self-proclaimed status could NOT deal with
@@KxngKUDA I totally understand your point. Is his over-inflated ego not caused in part by his mental illnesses though? Or at the very least, made worse by it?

The problem is no one is really, really listening to him. It is really frustrating. He’s right - no one has gotten to the heights he has to have the opportunity to be able to be exposed to the realities of what he’s learned what he’s trying to explain to people. No one is letting make the shift to the next phase of his life to help the world. He doesn’t owe anyone more music if he has the vision & desire to help in another way. We need to stop taking his words & actions at face value & read much, much deeper with some wisdom & intelligence.
I can see why Kanye loves his mother so much. A lot of people all they need to succeed is someone next to them that believes and loves them, so many people hold back out of fear of being judged or laughed at, that one person who’s behind you can make the world of a difference. I think his mother was part of his success because he seemed so shy around her it’s like she was his battery pack…she filled him up and made him believe and he’d go out feeling like superman. An amazing mother imo. RIP Donda West.

Cried. His mom really was his rock, and she is even now. All the outbursts and confused ranting make sense. I always knew there was more than just "he's crazy" even though I'm not much of a follower. It's easy to see another human broken by life and its unfortunate events when you've been there. I have been hearing about Kanye a lot in recent years but this video has enlightened me far and beyond what anyone else had ever said to me. Thank you. I'm now more interested in Ye than I ever been.
Yes, we see what the world see but what we didnt see are the meetings with the executives. The meetings with the owners of the radio execs, Nike, Adidas, and clothing labels. At some point he was shunned, shut out of doors he was trying to enter in a totally different industry than music. Did you notice his rants starting with Taylor Swift? He said Beyonce had the greatest video of all times because there was some resistance, shut out, discrimination. I heard him speaking about the fashion industry, rant. He start speaking about GAP during a political discussion. Things were happening further behind the scenes. I can only imagine him trying to be a genius and they began to shut him down. He makes soooo much since to me. He seems crazy because he saying sh*t without saying it (a read between the lines) because he's been trying to avoid controversy. Im an African American. He made the comment after 400 years thats sounds like a choice, "I GET IT"!! Ive been brought up in organized religion, guess what, after 48 years of my life my immediate family still in organized religion, it's beyond a program to me, its a choice. I have personally elevated beyond that school of thought. My family members are so much older than I and you guys still dont see the disadvantages of organized religion, thats a problem for me. I SAID ALL that to say, I needed to see what you saw, But they stiiiilll refusing to allow us to see wht he's ranting about, such as the Jews who blocked his genius. This video is still promoting the narrative of why he rants, bi-polar, on meds, etc. They didnt go deep enough for me. He's an entire fashion (ICON) designer. Let's see whats really going on... this is some old nonsense at it finest. The video was good, but not good enough. I desire TRUTH and thats all he's been saying - TRUTH.

The speech where he talked about how his dad wanted to abort him and then how he wanted to abort his child and regrets it really moved me. Just as the whole journey of grieving and missing his mom.
“The man just misses his mother”...I can tell you that losing your mother too soon and losing her the way he did where you can’t do anything to bring them back will do something to you physically, mentally, and emotionally for life. Especially when they’ve had such an impact in your life. I genuinely feel for him and understand him. He’s a deep individual and some can’t relate to people like that. And being bi polar really stigmatized him bc many don’t understand it. They just define it as “crazy” and it’s so much more than that. I’ve always understood that his actions were coming from a place of grief. That 911 call when his mother was dying was heart wrenching. They waited too long to save her. It would literally mess anyone up. I hope he finds healing. I love Kanye and will ALWAYS be a fan and support him and his work. Thank you for this fantastic video essay.
I totally feel everything you said and for it to be 100% accurate. I lost my mom 22 years ago then lost my dad 4 years after that. It was a very tough journey for me and some days I still find myself fighting through it. The path to healing is necessary but not easy for sure.
This man has never been the same after losing his MOM! The relationship with him & her was very special the respect he has for his mom was magic. losing your mother is like living in a Black hole! nobody knows what that feels like until you have to go through it.
He really is a genius. I haven’t watched those videos of him during the Yeezus era in a long time. At the time when Kanye was talking about being the next Steve jobs, best artist of a generation, needing to be a billionaire, all of that stuff - it was so easy to blow him off, but he was right about everything. He manifested where he is today. It seems like he had a plan as well and he made it happen. I grew up listening to Kanye and he’s my favorite artist. Love the guy and I’m happy he’s getting the respect he deserves.
I cried so many times . He loved his Mother so much . I know she is extremely proud of him as am I. The media try to make this man look crazy ; he is not .Everyone takes death differently. IF your mother died how would you take it? I know for myself the handle would be different. He keeps moving like his mother would want him to . But the hurt..... I don't even know the man and I can feel it . I appreciate his music and his realness that he express his self through the world . To put yourself out there in front of the world to see is A LOT . He is THE GOAT and his pain and his story tells a story that speaks volumes . Thank you for this . Mourning is a process , It takes time and some take longer than others .He STILL til this day is hurting .
I mean he has bipolar and he does have moments where he is acting “crazy” by society standards. Also known as a manic period. I don’t think it should take away from his influence and genius. But to say he never acts crazy is just ignorance
Exactly. Even if you don't particularly like your mother, her death is going to affect you. For Kanye it was like having his nervous system ripped out of him. She was such a wonderful, loving and supportive mother that was constantly by his side. Losing her was really losing a huge part of himself. He basically had to relearn how to walk and talk and act without her. He's a great dude, a great artist and a great mind. He's already come a long ways from 2016-2020 stuff and is finding better ways to communicate his ideas. I think he'll keep improving and be in a position to achieve what he really wants to achieve.
He says he loves her on one day, then he doesn't on another , he will always seem crazy because his views constantly change, which we can change our minds, but he seems to have mental issues, Then marrying a Kardashian?? He didn't want black women because of the drama but look at all the public drama he's involved in now. Can't make this sh** up. We all get to make our bed, we all get to lay in it, he's no exception. Trying to embarrass Taylor swift , wanting to be president, however he's living his life and we all must do the same.
Don't need to say a thing, u've said everything i would have said. He's a GENIUS, N they don't think like regular people. Keep hanging in there Kanye, i love hearing the things u're saying. I pray that u stay strong mainly for those babies u guys have brought into this mess of a world. They need U. Don't take away what u missed out on, a parent. Your mom would never want u to do anything that would hurt your kids. She's still looking over u Kanye, believe that. I kinda understand your pain, because i miss my mom's more n more, but i wouldn't have wanted her to go through all of this mess that's going on in the universe today. I Loved her to much, so i cry it out in the comfort of my home until the next time. It's been 4 yrs. but I can do that and I talk to her almost every day. I know she's in God's land because i knew the person she was. Sorry, i guess i did have somethings extra to say 😏😊Take Care Kanye and the world.
It's not often that you get to witness parents that are able to better themselves and totally commit to enriching their kids life at the same time. Ms Donda was one of them and Kanye paid attention to what she said cause she got him used to hearing positivity coming out of her mouth, even her criticism was constructive.
This man is one of the most misunderstood artist of all time. He's much better at channeling his feelings through his art form then through interviews. His affliction should not in the slightest way define him. Just like all the rest of the most important pioneers and influences in the industry, they all had an affliction of some sort. He should be held at the same level as those pioneers. Elvis, James brown, Micheal Jackson Johnny Cash ect.

I never get tired of the Kanye story even tho i read about it a thousand times or saw a documentary about a couple of times. His story always keeps me hooked. Its like a fairytale, from the producer to the accident to the rapper and now to the multi billionair fashion empire. What a amazing story 🙏🏽
My heart is so heavy for Kanye. He must be one of the most misunderstood contemporary artist of our time. I’ve been watching the trilogy doc because my son asked me to. He said The College Dropout helped get him through a difficult time going to a new school and not knowing anyone. I only wish he had shared the album with me at that time. I would have been able to connect with him. We have so much love now. He’s 31, and never cancelled Kanye. Thank you for this amazing doc. 🙏🏼

@@daniel-eason I didn't pay any attention to kanye until he said he was a Christian.Frankly i still don't understand the big deal about him, but your video gave me some insight.I also don't think him supporting Trump was a terrible thing. There is a lot of bias from the author and from this bias stems a lot misunderstanding of Kanye. Yes, he was acting erratic and wasn't able to express him eloquently, but what he was saying wasn't crazy. You have to be openminded to realize that. But when you have a certain bias you assume someone would have to be insane to say things Ye said. This video makes it look like as if Kanye had a schizophrenic episode.
There are other issues thought the whole narrative. Just take the Taylor Swift incident as a prime example. All the focus is on how outrageous and arrogant it was, how hugely inflated the Kanye's ego must've been, how he has no consideration for a 19 years old girl etc. All shallow takes that you can get from tabloids. Guess what was missing in this supposed deep dive video... not a second was spend to explore: why Kanye did it? Kanye cares about art deeply. One of his main domains is directing music videos. He has created some of the best, most creative and groundbreaking videos for his songs. Taylor received Video Music Award. Kanye didn't mean to disrespect Taylor. He went on stage to say that Beyonce's music video was one of the best of all time. It wasn't ego driven, he wasn't drunk on fame or power. He did it because Kayne is (and always has been) truly free. He ruined the show because he believed in what he said and it was more important to him than anything else. And if you were to compare these two music videos, he certainly had a point. But why bother even attempting to present the situation also from the Kanye's point of view, right?
That was honestly such an incredible watch. Netflix level editing and information, thank you so much for putting this together. It really helps capture how Ye is just trying to make Donda proud at the end of the day. No matter the bad that happens and the stuff he goes through, that’s all he cares about in the end. It’s such a powerful message you helped deliver. Thank you
This is an emotional rollercoaster, but my love for Ye as a person stands firm. I think Ye is a public example of how humans are. I didn't know muchabout kanye, just a song and all the bad stuff that say about hil, but this made me apreciate him as an artist, a great one, and also, reminded me that he's a human being. I hope that he gets the help that he needs in terms of mental health, that serious stuff and he needs to take care of it. Loved the documentary, you did a great job!!!
Thank you for enjoying this and leaving a heartfelt message. That was definitely a goal while making this.. Trying to reveal and humanize one of the biggest artists in the world.
So many feelings come to mind watching this, everything from the transitions to the music and the narration was perfect. Overall inspiring and got me tearing up a few times. Sometimes I can be hard on Ye but he's a human with emotions and through his actions, songs. words, and products you can see and feel he just wants to make a positive impact on this world. I only wish him and his family the best.
This doc is INCREDIBLE btw. I’ve only loosely known Kanye’s story but seein it in such a narrative put to music n video is just absolutely engaging n beautifully human. So many touching moments. Man, I feel like u can’t follow Kanye and not feel like u know Kanye….he’s like an avatar for us all in some way. His indecisiveness, his unique struggles, his breakdowns, and most of all his godlike glory moments that we all can only dream of attaining. For me, his weak/off whatever moments are the ones where he’s the most real. It’s like, I’m him in those faux pas moments. He’s never been the fool in my eyes, he’s only been a creative force under a spotlight the likes of which we’ve never seen before…he stil shoulders that shit like a champion. Kanye has had enough dream like slam dunks in his life and been standing on this platform almost no one has, and his perspective is GOING TO BE DIFFERENT than others but dude is still valid
I love what you pin point with the avatar thing. I feel that too, and I guess the reason why is because he's going where celebrities never went, or barely. What happens if a celebrity jumps a paparazzi? We know thanks to ye. What happens if someone qualified as a rapper steps in the fashion world? we know thanks to ye. What happens if a pop star makes a totally experimental album? we know thank to ye. What happens if all the best artists of an era collab on one project? if a celebrity publicly point fingers at how capitalism enslaves us? if a rapper runs for president? if a celebrity turned out to have mental issues but still stays in the limelight?... I could go on forever...

This is one of the few pieces on Kanye that touches on something deeper that most people don't get. Yes, musically (and perhaps in other aspects), he's a genius. Yes, his mother dying was a huge blow for him that I don't think he ever fully dealt with. And yes, the pressures of fame and the court of public opinion must be unreal. But the most overlooked aspect of his story is his own admitted substance abuse. My sister did a number of tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. She was under pressure a lot over there. Tried drugs for fun ONCE, and it became the perfect storm to trigger her mental state to go somewhere she's never recovered from. She's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, manic depression, and disorganized schizophrenia. She lived with me for a year while we got her situated with her VA benefits. It's an impossible thing to truly understand, but the person she was is not there most of the time. Almost tore our family apart as we couldn't agree on what to do to help her. Figuring out the cocktail of medications she needed to think and function normally was and still is an incredibly tough process. And she's not a hugely successful and incredibly rich public figure. It's painful to watch people treat Kanye West like a monster when all I see is a man who's trapped within himself and can't seem to figure his way out. His mother's love and guidance was his compass, and he's been wandering for a long time. I hope he gets the help he really needs.
So is it that you think he needs help with substance abuse (self medicating.. misuse of drugs) - Or that he needs proper mental help - Or that he needs someone (a female figure) to lean on / draw inspiration from? Or all of the above? I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's hardships. I'm struggling with mental illnesses (and physical ones) as well. War PTSD being one, so I might just have something in common with your sister, though I didn't serve (respect & huge thanks for that). Haven't found my "correct cocktail of meds" yet, nor much help in psych/therapy dept. All the best to the both of you!
@@A_Ducky I think he needs help in choosing to be the man he wants to be, (the husband he could have been), the father his children need him to be, and in choosing not to see himself as more than a man (because none of us are gods, I'm sorry) and admitting he has limitations and weaknesses and could use some help. Though I only mentioned my sister before, I know of others who are successfully managing their own. People who are spouses and parents and managers/executives, living very successful lives while managing their mental illnesses. The difference is they WANT to manage it so they can still lead great lives. My sister struggles with that part for other reasons. In my opinion, Kanye doesn't have the right people around him in this space. "Yes men" are bad even for a mentally stable/healthy person with that level of money and influence. Beyond that, we've seen how prideful the guy is. With an ego like that, he's only going to listen to and respect certain voices anyway. His mother's voice was the main one. That Yeezus doc showed he doesn't have many others like that around him. His father was clearly trying to speak in that capacity, but I don't think he holds that place as well as Ye's mother did. But I'm on the outside looking in. I just know that he's been spiraling for years, and it's clear that a lot of people don't get it. Not making excuses for him, but I cringe when celebs and other folk get into a war of words with him-he's not all the way there anymore to even fully realize what he's doing and why. But anyway, thanks for your kind and understanding words about my sister. It's been rough-especially on her kids. It's crazy to see, but a lot of kids just accept their parent for how they are and love them anyway, not really realizing what they're seeing isn't healthy until something or someone tells them. I feel for my nieces and nephew the most. I hope you find the help you need. If you didn't serve, it's alright. There are resources available for you, as well. But you have to want it for yourself and for those you love first. I hope you already do. Your diagnosis isn't a death sentence. Not if you don't allow it to be. Take care of yourself.
He and his mother had an amazing relationship which is amazing. His mother continued supporting him his whole life, that is what you call a Mother. He showed respect towards her and honored her opinions towards him. A mother should always support her children and show love and respect towards their children as well and visversa. I have mad respect for Ye, continue speaking your mind and heart never allow anyone to tell you to stop even if they call you crazy 🙏🙏

Kanye needs whole hearted ppl around. He is so talented. When that radio personality cried and pour her heart out I feel he really was in a moment and heard what she said. Very touching.
And even when his “mental health” decreased, his biggest battle was realizing that the way we live isn’t what’s best and we are all corrupted by capitalism. Lookin from his POV he’s the hero that battled that most genius before him tried to fight and failed. I’m happy to see that he has found a way 2 taim tbh cause it’s genuinely a lot to handle
@@kiraidies lol he's not anti capitalism. He's probably on the other side of the political spectrum compared to you. He's a smart man and knows whats best for his kids and has good ideas on where to take the country. He's no leftist commie. He cares for the American people truly. Also "as intelligence increases mental health decreases" is not a sound conclusion at all. If you believe that then you must have a crazy ego. I think being exposed to what people like kanye have been exposed to and seeing the real underbelly of society, thats what caused him to go "insane" The more truth you know about whats happening behind the scenes, THAT'S definitely more likely to make you go crazy.
I think he is one of God's CHOSEN men & much like Job in the Bible, the devil is determined to deter him & make him look bad or crazy by using circumstances and people around him to hurt & fail him because he has the potential to affect & influence God's people. 🙏🏽💞
This is my 1st time coming across your channel and as a creator myself. I aspire to have work this incredible. I'm only 3:26 seconds in and I already recognize the amount creativity, the editorial decisions, the research time and sacrifice (especially financially) you took to make this video. This is really dope and genius work.
Kanye ain't lie when he said he was the most influential. He made a whole community of people who think they are things that are impossible and don't exist.
Kanye’s story speaks to me so much, a kid living with a single mom and just trying to make her happy and show her the bright side. I hope I can do the same someday. Cried during this documentary thinking about me and my moms struggles good job man. Subbed
I hardly ever comment on youtube videos, but I finished this yesterday and I've been thinking about it ever since and wanted to come back and say how exceptionally well-made this documentary is. Even to those who know most of this timeline (myself included), it's so carefully compiled and well-explained. Although, some painful irony in that you've managed to explain some of Kanye's worldviews and mindset better than Kanye himself has been able to in recent years. I don't know how many icons have a history this fascinating, but I'd definitely like to see more hour+ content on artists with a large, evolving music catalogue. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Drake and Rihanna all spring to mind!
The first part of this video, I was smiling, in the last minutes i was just empty. Ye is such a good person and the media is just trying to make him look bad when he surely is the most influential and greatest rapper of all time. I will literally sob on the floor so damn much when I find out he passed away, I seriously cannot imagine this man die. I love Ye
So many emotions watching this. Inspiration, sadness, anger, joy and confusion. Kanye for me is the most extreme example of all human emotions Amazing documentary!
@@tysonjankowiak he did breakdown but it was when he started talking about himself and what he's going through. That moment was another example of his mental instability. I dont think Kanye knows what to do with all the emotions he be feeling so he's become self important. Constantly battling with the thoughts in his head that when there's a moment real and vulnerable like how Kenda was OUTSIDE of his daily inner monolog you get him being stuck the way he was, allowing himself to be spoken at but not really connecting with another person. That moment there should have been eye contact and his body turned in her direction as she spoke at least. This woman was pouring her heart out about his importance as a voice of our people. Im inclined to believe that Kanye's life is playing out exactly as intended though you know? You don't ask God to make you strong or an icon and then complain about all the hardship that follows thats gonna make you strong and an icon just like you asked. I think Kanye forgets to see it that way sometimes. I dont blame him, I cant imagine living with bi polar disorder. Im just saying from our perspective as neurtotypical people I think we should acknowledge these things for what they are. Kanye is under alot of pressure at all times, he just needs good people around him who care about his well being not just a bunch of "yes men". He's better than the way his 2020 campaign rant was spun by media. If he had people like Kenda people wouldnt be able to make a fool of him. That moment was a human being hurting inside.
Mental health is so underrated. We have to continue to humanize people and get help. He is so dope but he is also hurting. Kanye goes on rants that turn into things that he should be saying in therapy sessions but he's so outspoken, you have to listen to him in order to understand where his pain comes from. It's not just the mourning of his mom....He's compensating by losing touch of reality. He loves his work but hates the new reality. You can't live a normal life in public, everyone knows you....🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 he finds mental peace in earth. This was a great video
Love how that women really opened up how how important Kanye voice is. He needed to hear that! Kanye reminds me of myself, over emotional, weird, proper, and not what you would expect from someone like him. He has been through a lot and hope he can stay happy and healthy in the future. Also I loved the Yeezus album. The beats were crazy!
This was so beautiful, from covering his whole career to his emotional side, perfectly covering all the albums and the whole video flows with amazing music choices and timings. LOVED IT.
This is a really well made documentary on Kanye west, I love the fact that it’s free from bias and you’ve captured very crucial moments in his life which one way or the other molded the misunderstood genius we know today. I also almost thought this coincided with the Jeen-yuhs Netflix documentary because of how well put it is and on more or the same level of production imo. However I looked at the time frame and it’s just a coincidence I found this video just after watching his Netflix documentary. Well done
Lowkey one of the best videos I ever saw on my 10 years on this platform. The amount of work u put into this masterpiece is just amazing. I hope this gets more recognition. Love goes out to everybody watching
This is so well done, i can't believe it's free, you deserve recognition for your work sir, the rythm between narration, the songs, and interview is perfect
Kanye actually made me so passionate about him as artist that in turn made me look back to classical art and appreciate its beauty and understand it’s significance - notably abstract art. I genuinely think Kanye is almost just as influential as many of the classical artists such as Beethoven, Gustave Doré, Monet, Picasso and so many more.
Kanye checked everything off his check list that people said he was too crazy for. Damn.. I’ll give Ye my vote. After 20 years he’s been right about everything
I can truly relate to every second of this video as a teenager who lost his mother and went through a whole bunch of sh**t ,Ye is a legend..it's my first time finding this channel buh i had to give you a sub .you did put a lot of work in..keep grinding
He is a Survivor....he has survived so much one of his closest friend which is a frenemy Jay Z was using so much black magic Alistair Crowley type stuff on him and he survived all of that more than survive he's thriving through all the stumbling blocks they put in his way all the brick walls they put up before him and all the misfortune they threw on him he's thriving still like JESUSCHRIST HimSelf😘 #Pray4KanYE
Kanye might have overshadowed his mentor in my personal opinion. He produces, he designs, he raps, he is truly a creative genius and visionary. His songs instantly transport me to the time and place I was when I heard them...he is just that iconic and great. History has proven people love to build you up to watch you fall, but I pray Kanye stays protected from all evil. I don't think he is a narcissist or nut job like the media tries to portray him. I think he is confident and I really can't blame him.
when I was little I used to think the hov lane was for hova cause he runs this city... Jay z is a hustler. you have to be to come from Brooklyn (back in the day). he definitely hustles and if what the world needs to hear takes $ out of his pocket, then he will destroy them. Jay z is the reason rap and hip hop has gone weak
This is such a compassionate, fair and comprehensive look at a complex situation. Well done !!! This needs to be on a Netflix or Hulu … great documentary
the best video not only talking about his music gifts ,but ye himself.his deep and unforgettable love towards his mom,his mental condition, his struggling and fighting against himself.Perfect video and i just can't help ruminating on it. Thank you so much!!🥰
Kanye never healed, had no one he could count on, and connected with a pack of wolves when he was in an extremely vulnerable state. He is a walking talking example of a creative individual who strayed from his Creator & how a disconnected individual can be blown to and from with the wind when he is LOST. I am AMAZED that he is still HERE. I pray for him and his children. Mental health is the real wealth. 🙏🏽💞
He’s never said anything wrong. People just have been conditioned to think anyone who sees the world differently is crazy. Every person who ever changed the world has been called crazy, unhinged and mentally ill. Your thought is not free and ruled by the ideologue of society. God bless ye and may he continue to inspire and revolutionize the world.
You absolutely killed this documentary… hopefully Ye can see this… the amount of effort you put into this was damn near perfect…. Kanye is great and definitely has demons like we all do, his is just on display for the world to see. This was great and you should be proud of this work
Most definitely, you did the best Kanye West documentary 👏 ❤ you showed a side of him that I never really saw, which is being vulnerable with the person he loved the most! Wow ❤
So many interviews especially the Jay Leno one sit wrong with me. The man brought up his mom knowing well that it would get a reaction out of him. They didn’t care about Taylor swift. They just wanted a reason other than his ego to take him down. I’m glad nowadays Ye is more calm and collected in front of paparazzi.
The part that hit me, was somewhere at the end when you were talking about he couldn't be what he became without his mother. And I can't help but feel sad because not every mother shows such belief to their child. Mine for example doesn't put any effort in trying to make it seem like she beliefs in my true potential.
At the moment, my top 3 artists are King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard, Maynard James Keenan (TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer) and Deep Purple! My taste has almost completely shifted over to rock and metal. But back when I listened to rap, my top three was Denzel Curry, Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown.
Kanye totally deserves all of the hype and I hope in his next chapter he finds a more appropriate family to align himself. He is deeply scared by the death of his Mom. I hope he chooses his next life partner more methodically, spiritually and he will be fine if the relationship is deeply rooted from love.
I understand what fans must have thought at the time period, but "on sight" is one of my favorite Kanye songs. Goes dumb hard in the gym. It sounds abysmal the first few times, then it transforms into THE certified hood classic.
Kanye honestly just wants change in this messed up world, and what frustrates him is that nobody's listening or taking him serious. They all think he's just being delusional
One thing I can relate to is losing your mother. When you lose your mum it’s really hard no matter how many years have passed or how old you get. It’s very hard. Especially if she was your best friend. A true person who you could trust and who would tell you the truth with her heart and no malicious intent. I miss her and I’m now the only person I can reply on. 😞♥️
This man has the audacity to talk 10 minutes about Watch the Throne and don’t talk about My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy! Smh Ps Yeezus wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t meant to be a “radio album.” It was an experimental industrial hip hop album that is still really highly regarded by a lot of Kanye fans and critics
I definitely do think separating the MBDTF story from the Swift incident was a major undercut of this video. Explaining the impact of MBDTF and how it was created after the VMA incident is a very important part of the story behind it.
This video is insane. Rollercoaster of emotions and the information laid out in a nice and concise way which is easy to understand. You have made my day

The most dangerous thing about kanye west is the fact that he's a genius and he knows this
@mandellorian and you think you're opinion will always count

Indeed. She was a wonderful mother. Such a shame that she wouldn't see the further success and impact Kanye made on the rap/music industry.

Mr. Raymond West is a great Father.
Never forget him because he is still here and it took decades for this Man to publicly give his DAD the RESPECT which is much revered and appreciated as much as MAMA.
Hey Papa !
bro the things kanye went through especially in front of the whole world, he's a very important figure and i pray to God he finds peace.
Amen 🙏🏽
I think that’s the thing he has found peace!! And what does peace look like, we all have different things that bring us peace. Does having different thoughts and ways of communicating those thoughts mean one doesn’t have peace?
He's also a maniacal egotistical testicle
Ameen to that
The relationship he had with his mother was something I have never seen before especially on the documentary.
Your Poetically TRUE💯👍🏾❤️

Kanye’s story really is fit for purpose. You should check out the Kanye West Iceberg on RUclips tooif you haven’t seen it yet but liked this.
Agreed. This was beautiful

Sorry, i guess i did have somethings extra to say 😏😊Take Care Kanye and the world.
me too
It's not often that you get to witness parents that are able to better themselves and totally commit to enriching their kids life at the same time.
He doesn’t have an affliction. It’s a myth put out by witches n demons to try and discredit him. He’s a musical genius n extremely misunderstood. 🙏🏽🤞🏽
All respect to ye he is a musical genius a true artist visionary etc and most of the things u said i agree with however not on the same level as mj musicaly/artistry. No one will touch michael in that area.

I never get tired of the Kanye story even tho i read about it a thousand times or saw a documentary about a couple of times. His story always keeps me hooked. Its like a fairytale, from the producer to the accident to the rapper and now to the multi billionair fashion empire. What a amazing story 🙏🏽
Who knew Kanye was actually a whistleblower and was prepping us for 2024 all these years 😭
My heart is so heavy for Kanye.

Trump is Better President for America and Black America.
than Biden. Then mainstream media needs to stop pushing blacks to vote one way.
I do appreciate his free thinking. However he does not alway articulate himself properly...GOD BLESS HIM.

@@eliadefkathincoeur facts man that’s all I can say I feel everyone forgot that we are entitled to our own opinion and social tries to make things that Kanye said to be offensive the people on social media are arrogant to different opinions and that’s why I think In the part where he was talking to they guy charlamane or whatever and he was saying the album was trash Kanye was that’s great
I broke into tears so many time just seeing Ye's true emotions show. His heart is so pure he only wants the best for the world. His mother was and always will be proud of him. As am I. 🙏💜
Well spoken

And even when his “mental health” decreased, his biggest battle was realizing that the way we live isn’t what’s best and we are all corrupted by capitalism. @@tysonjankowiak Sorry, I didn't see that part
‼️‼️‼️
Facts. The dude on TMZ pissed me off. And rewatching the Breakfast Club everything he said made sense but at the time I couldn’t understand
he has tho i love kanye but saying 500 years of slavery was a choice wasnt bad?
Amen🙏🏾
He’s not perfect and he most definitely has had some bad stuff
I hate that question. it's so obviously not a good faith question. and kanyes response breaks my heart everytime
True, but it did click something inside his mind about how erratic and rude his behavior was
If you’ve never heard Kanye’s hey mama tribute to his mother during the 2008 Grammys I would recommend listening to it. It’s very heartbreaking.
As a Kanye fan, I enjoyed this immensely. Amazing work, man!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you!
I don’t think this could have been done any better. I continue to love him! Thank you
This was fantastic. Holy shit what a total experience, you must have worked so much on this. I think it really honours him.
He did a phenomenal job on this!❤️🤗
Plz stop using holy and swear words cursing about that name tht name is so beautiful
Kanye should do a video with V-Kleva
The part that hit me, was somewhere at the end when you were talking about he couldn't be what he became without his mother. And I can't help but feel sad because not every mother shows such belief to their child. Mine for example doesn't put any effort in trying to make it seem like she beliefs in my true potential.
Growing up with a single mother and then perceiving that your success is the reason she's not here is devasting.
The number one artist of all time in my eyes, no matter what anyone says.
From a far.
Well you're wrong Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer ever
@@TYler-dn2pmVery valid take, honestly. MJ is amazing as well. That, and my tastes have definitely changed since I wrote this comment.
@@DanBruhMomentso who’s your number 1 now? Actually, what’s your top 3 now?
At the moment, my top 3 artists are King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard, Maynard James Keenan (TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer) and Deep Purple! My taste has almost completely shifted over to rock and metal.
But back when I listened to rap, my top three was Denzel Curry, Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown.
Kanye totally deserves all of the hype and I hope in his next chapter he finds a more appropriate family to align himself. He is deeply scared by the death of his Mom. I hope he chooses his next life partner more methodically, spiritually and he will be fine if the relationship is deeply rooted from love.
well said...
I understand what fans must have thought at the time period, but "on sight" is one of my favorite Kanye songs. Goes dumb hard in the gym. It sounds abysmal the first few times, then it transforms into THE certified hood classic.
Took me a while to start liking that song, It does go hard asf in the gym tho 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
On Sight and Blood on the leaves in the gym... Hard.
@@lehakwetloti4947 + black skinhead 😩
Yeezus was for sure underappreciated when it first released but now it is really easy to listen to.
@@cesargonzales7234 so does that mean Jesus is King will be huge here in a few more years? Let's get these niggas back to church!
Kanye honestly just wants change in this messed up world, and what frustrates him is that nobody's listening or taking him serious. They all think he's just being delusional
30:17 literally made me jump i never hear people just straight up say it
One thing I can relate to is losing your mother.
When you lose your mum it’s really hard no matter how many years have passed or how old you get. It’s very hard.
Especially if she was your best friend. A true person who you could trust and who would tell you the truth with her heart and no malicious intent.
I miss her and I’m now the only person I can reply on. 😞♥️
You've got an entire community that'll be there during these hard times ❤️
What this man was doing in the 2000s was different than the majority of hip hop. When people say Kanye was ahead of his time just know it's a fact
This man has the audacity to talk 10 minutes about Watch the Throne and don’t talk about My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy! Smh
Ps Yeezus wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t meant to be a “radio album.” It was an experimental industrial hip hop album that is still really highly regarded by a lot of Kanye fans and critics
I agree! With age, Yeezus has risen to my top Ye projects since JIK. And I promise to make a MBDTF video just for you 🙏😭
@@daniel-eason 👀
@@daniel-eason I will be watching and waiting for that MBDTF video lbvs 😂
I definitely do think separating the MBDTF story from the Swift incident was a major undercut of this video. Explaining the impact of MBDTF and how it was created after the VMA incident is a very important part of the story behind it.
@@daniel-eason please do, it was such an important and memorable moment in my life
Thanks man that was great. I could even question it and say it was comparable to the Netflix series
This video is insane. Rollercoaster of emotions and the information laid out in a nice and concise way which is easy to understand. You have made my day
I love how you talk about all of Ye’s flaws and strengths and who he is. You aren’t just one of those fans who sugarcoats everything.
genuinely the best video i have seen on you tube love it
