Not really glazing. Its just the story behind every album cover. College Dropout is him being at the bottom, Late Registration is him being new to fame, Graduation is him really making it. 808s and Heartbreaks is obvious, there’s literally a broken heart with hands ripping it apart, symbolizing someone at fault breaking his heart. MBDTF is something I don’t really know how to explain. Yeezus I also don’t really know how to explain either. Watch The Throne is gold because this symbolizes prosperity and richness, which is exactly how his life was. The Life of Pablo is the choice between family and God and the night life and sex. Ye album cover is pretty simple. Kids See Ghosts doesnt have any meaning it just looks pretty cool. JESUS IS KING also is pretty obvious. Donda represents mourning and the idea that God doesn’t have an appearance, it doesn’t matter as long as God is there for you. Vultures is just him being horny lol
@Dor_atar you act like he didn’t have 2 different album covers planned to be used at some point, why would he just do a black cover to be lazy when he had those options
@@Ozdestro his best is a subjective answer and seems like a lot of people have that same opinion, by your logic YeNDolla album VULTURES 1 or Watch The Throne self titled album shouldn't be here as well
I think the Donda album cover isn't entirely lazy. The album was obviously dedicated to his mother, like a funeral. What color is usually associated with or worn at funerals? Black.
I like the dropout bear being a symbol of Kanye’s early years. It’s like a childhood imaginary friend who slowly disappears as you get older. I think it’d lose all it’s magic if it was used for every cover
Great Video! I'm pretty sure Kanye said the Donda album cover was just black to symbolize his mourning and to also not distract the listener as a kind of tribute to his mom.
Jesus is King was the first Kanye album I listened to in its entirety, mostly due to it being the most recent release at the time that I started listening to him. I was immediately struck with how similar its cover was to yeezus. Almost as if it was an epilogue, an evolution of his train of thought. It feels like JIK is the evolution of the latter, and I can't help but feel that it is a purposeful attempt from Kanye to demonstrate how he has changed and grown as a Christian, while remaining consistent in his diction, art, and musical talent.
I didn’t even look at the channel at first because I thought this was a multi-million view video by a channel with millions of subscribers. This production is wild.
How do you only have 60 subs bro I thought this was a high production video made by a big channel due to the insane quality of this vid bro. Absolutely amazing
The colors used on the left side of the 808s cover resemble the "Saville code", a pallette created by cover designer Peter Saville and used on the records of the british band New Order. Since Kanye was inspired by New Order while making 808s and also inspired by Saville's artwork, I guess Ye was trying to pay homage to those artists.
To be honest I kinda like "the lazy black cover" because I interpreted this as Donda's sudden death, and it felt surreal while listening to Jail while looking at the black screen, it kinda reminds me of you staring at your computer while listening to mp3 files that you're tampering with.
It might go over lots of people's heads, but an album cover is a very major allure to listening to an album. Consciously or otherwise, you tend to want to listen to albums with good or alluring covers
The Priest and Bear come with the Vinly of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The Bear is my second favorite but it kinda gives me bad vibes when I look at it
its worth noting the signifigance of "red tape" on the yeezus album cover, red tape as a metaphor means regulations or conformity to formal rules or standards and on the cover its litteraly red tape holding his music shut which is probobly the meaning
The preist one is official, it came with the ultimate edition for MBDTF vinyl, not sure if it’s on the normal edition but I have it as that photo (you can switch out the image in the middle on the cover)
i see why the cover of jik is a vinyl, obviously to give it a similarity to yeezus, it's because Kanye knew that JIK was going to be underrated, that it would only really have an impact later on, like yeezus, (even more so now, with some contrived stuff about pornography) jesus is king is an album ahead of its time, as much as yeezus was
is this the official final boss of kanye glazing?
That’s a legal requirement for any Ye fan
Pin of Shame

actually, the cover of DONDA is all black to symbolize mourning, wasn't just Kanye being lazy
@Dor_atarit was to symbolize grief and the concept of god having no image
@@bwaah0_0 Since it's also known that you don't need a image for God since you already know he's there
It fit the sound of the album too, very stripped back. I genuinely don’t think he has a single bad cover on his main albums.

Graduation is the most important ye cover to me as i really love the illustration of the bear

There is a cool story behind the 808s cover. It’s actually a balloon. Disappointed you didn’t mention it
I’ve always wondered how the donda cover was made. Was it just some black screen from Google or did someone just take a picture of the ground like idk
You can go into any paint/image editing app and just set the image to black
Kanye said that the reason for the cd was because it’s the end of the cd era
It might go over lots of people's heads, but an album cover is a very major allure to listening to an album. Consciously or otherwise, you tend to want to listen to albums with good or alluring covers

Missing ksg and mentioning that the full lenght film of mbdtf also featured a phoenix woman
