I feel like you shouldn't even mention the whole "it's to expensive" thing anymore.
You're doing absolutely beautiful work and I bet all your customers are more then happy with what they get back from you.
Great video! As usual.
I would assume its also an advertisement for his business.......mentioning the price........that way new customers wont be surprised when they bring a new jacket in.
I agree it's a craft and it's not more than right to get paid for your job. He does incredible work and that should cost. It is good to value your job. Hug from Gothenburg in Sweden
I think the voice is hilarious, pls don't stop 😂
@@maxnoerenberg6370 This.
I'm looking to restore a jacket I have and knowing the price for this kind of work helps alot. It's a pretty penny I'll admit but that just means I'll have to save up for quality work. :)
Steve, these people who moan do not understand that memories have no price. Lovely job by the way.
Steve you are worth the prices you charge. No one works for free and they have to value you and your time as well. Thank you for sharing.
Forget the time, the skill is worth the price. Not everyone can do the quality work Steve does. He’s worth every penny. You get what you pay for.
Must love that Jacket.
$490.00 well worth it for the memories
Steve, 10 years ago I went to IRAN to see some ancient artifacts. I never knew so many Armenians live there. I bought a pair of hand crafted shoes from this super talented Arminian shoe maker, he was a super grumpy but very lovely guy, to this day I think they’re the best quality and most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. Planning to contact you in the near future to see if you would accept to restore them for me. Great job as always and thank you for your awesome videos.
Grasshopper here, Grandmaster if the customer purchased a new jacket he would still have vinyl sleeves. What you are doing is upgrading the jacket to a whole new level putting on leather sleeves. KEEP ON ROCKING GRANDMASTER!!👍👍
GO VOLS!! Nice job, Steve!
Steve, YOU NAILED IT! Not only the letter jacket, but the fact that people are just TOO UP TIGHT and INTENSE lately!
I think many of us watch not only for the expert crafting and incisive commentary, but also for the vicarious thrill of seeing products and work we can’t or won’t afford.
Awesome upgrade. Just think how much longer those sleeves and pockets will last now they are made of leather. Your work is always great and it is entertaining to watch you create classics. Don't stop mocking your critics!!
My thoughts exactly.
This is a better jacket for sure. Can't buy that of the rack.
Money cannot repurchase the sentimental value in an object! Those who cannot understand that concept. Havent had that type of sentimental experience. Great job Steve!
People don't understand when a price seems too high to them.
First your not forcing you to repair or remake an item. Your customers know how talented you are. And are willing to pay for your time, your talent and quality!!
It's really a no brainer people!!
Being a Vol fan myself, I really appreciated your improvement of this varsity jacket. You did a great job as always! Go Vols!
Always appreciate “the complain voice” & your beautiful work more.
I don’t care what anyone says, I enjoy this man’s sense of humor😂😂😂
It's so cool to be able watch this level of craftmanship ! 👍❤
I think the live improv. of your videos is what makes them so genuine. I don't think you need the fancy cameras, mics, and tripods I like the in shop felling. Anyway awsome job as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Look quite a great coat. The owner should be proud of the results!!!
Memories last a life time and cannot be bought. First rate restoration. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
As far as all the cost comments go....
You want it done, or you want it done right? Done right? Then sit down and pay up.
And the dollar value of that jacket just doubled. It's not like the money was thrown away, if you want to talk cost/value.
Lol you just used a parent voice, didn’t you?
My hands shake just watching some of this work. SO many ways to bung it up. You are a miracle worker.
I'd rather have a classic, loved and memory-infused piece of clothing and/or accessory than a new piece of soulless tat. I'm glad that others feel the same.
That was no easy job Steve. It takes a SKILLED workmanship to do what you did. Excellent work once again.
Very nice! Wow, amazing job. Go Vols! Love the sleeves. I had the pleasure of meeting your cousin yesterday at his Redwing store! Another talented Armenian!
I don't see people getting triggered by the price of fine art...you know, a work done by a skilled artist...who spent a lifetime learning and honing their skills...sheesh. Maybe if you said you do commissions instead of repairs..😂 We love ya, Steve! 💕🌟
I must love your work because $490 seems reasonable to me. My dad & brothers were all Letterman in basketball but these weren't as popular with them back during their respective years. But I like them. 😀
I was thinking the same, the jackets cost like 500 bucks anyway and they're Pleather, with the new leather trim and sleeves the guy's great grandson will be wearing it one day
I 💯 agree... lighten up already.... commenters aren’t paying the tab... so what difference does it make what people want repaired
Another one!!! I like the fact that you fix, re-craft, different items, even the watch you did! Awesome work Steve!
I love the look of the leather better. Great job.
steve you have a lot of patience, they don't get it. the customer wants to have it made. 🤨thanks for your time, and the video. see you next time.👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️🥇🥇😃😃
You are an artist. Never apologize for making art. ❤️
Hell yeah! That leather really upgraded the look of the jacket. You are a freaking master.
Every time you raise the pitch of your voice to put into words your critics’ comments, I crack up. I have found myself doing it now, too!! Thank you for teaching us your craft. 💚 What sewing machine do you use? I need to buy one that can handle thicker materials.
ADLER
Bedo's Leatherworks LLC My like of your comment is an appreciation for your responding to my question. Thank you!!
I remembered - the movie "Tucker" - when Tucker meets Howard Hughes and with The Spruce Goose in the background - and Hughes notes "they say it won't fly .. but that's not the point". A really good movie, Jeff Bridges .. worth taking a look.
It's the sign of any good craftsman, regardless of trade, to make the most efficient use of materials.
“I’m willing to fix it/repair it” or IMPROVE it! 👍💖
I reckon it’s amazing you can give pieces a new life. There’s too much waste when it comes to throwaway clothes and it’s so much better for the environment to minimise it. I love it when you get your hands on something and work your magic on them! 💖❤️💖
These videos are so binge worthy👍👍👍👍
If someone is offended...don’t watch...but certainly don’t complain...I think you do awesome work...well worth the money!
Well worth the price! Anyone who watches you should know that!
Some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
Great quote. Mind if I borrow it for personal use?
@@TheNunakun Of course not! It is one of the best quotes ever. I borrowed it many, many years ago👍
So perfect!
@J Yes, cheap can be expensive ... I like that saying too. Thanks
Omg... this sums it up ecsactly!!😊
Loved the hahahahaha shudup... and you are so right about lightening up. Great video as usual.
Lol - what’s more annoying? The moops who complain about stupid stuff or listening to you complain about the complainers? Now I’m complaining about you complaining about the complainers. It will never end! Keep doing the awesome work you do and just ignore the moops in the comments. :)
Laura Weiss 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are a master. Thanks for sharing your craft. (P.S. I love the coffee breaks!)
Great comeback Steve lol!! I love your humor, don't blame you!
Beautiful job, as usual! That jacket is going to provide years of wear for as long as the owner wants. The people commenting "why don't they just get a new one?" obviously do not value things the way your customers do. Moreover, quality of consumer goods overall has tanked over the years--this started around 2000. Goes across a wide variety of products, from appliances to household items to fashion (shoes, clothing, handbags). I've read on blogs that even designer high end fashion brands have deteriorated in quality--the Vuitton bag of today is not the quality of vintage Vuitton. Don't own a Vuitton bag myself, but I have no problem believing this is true. Same has been said of men's shoes for some of the top brands--the quality just isn't there anymore. So I believe it pays off to preserve vintage items.
You’re a lucky man. I got to sit and watch my old man drink beer. I’m pretty good at that now by the way
Great Job Steve & love the tattoo, I was in my 40's before my first and now have both arms sleeved! Don't let the haters get to you & with the artist renting from you & in the same building can't wait to see what's next!!
This is easy, he says... see how all the seams lined up... yea right! Easy for you Steve. You know, you are a master Tailor too! Great job!
People wanting to buy new instead of repair is a huge part of our culture now. It used to be a point of pride to repair and buy things that could be worked on and repaired easily. Now it is just the cheapest thing you can get with no regard to quality. Besides the waste that it causes, people are less likely to put value on things they see as expendable.
Yea, buying quality and maintain/repair things is usually cheaper in the long run.
And also way more ecological.
Amen to that 👊👍
Another fine piece of work, Steve!!! You are a modern master!
We need a tour of your showroom and a review of all the leather and shoe care products you sell. Also, a coffee ☕how to would be great! Love the videos, keep it up!
Hey Steve, you are my new favorite person to watch!!! Love watching your amazing work, plus... you crack me up! 😁hee hee
When I started a new job, 6 years ago I treated myself with my first pair of quality shoes. Paraboot, with Norwegian welt and vibram soles. I've worn them 3-4 times a week for 6 years. I've given them a he'll of a beating. Theese shoes have been my companions for failures and successes. They have never let me down. After a good cleanse and polish, they look 90% new, with some character in the leather.
When the time comes, I will have them resoled them and enjoy them for at least 6 more years.
Another beautiful job. Better than new.
That bell thing no longer gets anyone email notifications. You Tube cancelled that service this week. Now you have to log on to RUclips to check if someone uploaded anything. The only problem with this makeover is that I am not a Vol, and I live in Vol country. Orange makes me see Georgia red! LOL! Hey, if I still had my jacket, I'd have you redo it at that cost or more. You're right it's the meaning behind it. The memories. Very cool job. Regards, Solomon
Steve you did a great work on that Jacket. It's not easy to sew the cuffs and pocket trims but you done them lovely well done
Lmao tonight Steve, what I've learnt in life is that you get what you pay for so they can take their items elsewhere and get a s**t job done how about that, can't they see the craftsmanship and dedication you put into your work JOG ON thats what I say to them, lovely job by the way:)
Like always, You explain your craftsmanship.
That came out awesome! I’m guessing you could make an entire leather jacket! Now that would be awesome to see!
Dominic Minischetti anything is possible
Memories are priceless. Beautiful work as ever. 👍🏻❤️
I enjoy these videos very much! God bless you and your family.
Sorry I fastforward to the End...But What A Hell Of A Job!!! 👍😎🇨🇦
Fantastic result. Great video and beautiful craftsmanship as usual. Stay well.
Steve, another gem. keep them coming.
Great job Steve 👍👍 stay safe and keep on rockin'
You now what counts , you have a lot of we’ll pay jobs and happy clients. Nice job by the way.
HI, STEVE!! If an item has sentimental value, the client may not want to buy a new one! Everything isn't throwaway! Wonderful job on this jacket!!! 100% BETTER.
That’s a good job well done. Don’t mess around with Steve...he’s gonna get you!
Send the bill to U T . I spent enough sending my daughter there for 4 yrs ... They can afford it ...
xD
14:15 "tilt your head sideways" lmao
beautiful job Steve & so much fun to observe the process
Customer is always right. Repair cost and availability of a new one are irrelevant, as long as an agreement is made.
That jacket turned out fantastic, even better than original with the great leather sleeves and pocket trim!!! I love the “hahahahaha SHUT UP”, totally made me LOL 😂. I even just turned on my bell for you because I just love your videos and you’re such a craftsman. TYFS and looks like the tattoo is healing nicely!!!!
Glad to see you Steve! If you accept requests, please, show some women’s shoes 😄 👡👠or bags💼👜🧳, old videos I rewatched like three times already, satisfying really. Thank you, dear!
Shoot, when you get finished converting those Allen Edmonds McAlester’s over to golf shoes for me, I may have to dig out my old football jacket and have you replace the sleeves on it as well.
Anytime you’re ready
amazing like always. don't spent energy on haters or bad comments. we have 24 hours a day and some amount of energy to spent. don't waste it. Keep going man. you are top as always.
Steve your worth every penny, great job.
A jacket with long enough sleeves is priceless!
I still wonder about your leather supply. Do you go pick it out or just order it for delivery? Where do you get it from and are there a lot of suppliers to pick from? How much to you keep in stock? Do you need to pick carefully or know a lot about it to get a good product? That would be an interesting video, and maybe talk about dealing with exotic (non-cow) hides and synthetics too.
that wouldbe very interesting to me too
Steve, it's no body's business whs t the cost of the work is. The price is between you and the customer. Cracking job as always.
2 minutes into the video and I’m already smiling 😁. People don’t know the joy of owning something unique. Sure you can buy a new jacket/bag/shoe but it won’t be exclusive. Besides, as you’ve already said, some items just have a personal value to someone and they want to keep it. I don’t understand people that can comment negatively under such nice art work anyway. Just enjoy a man repairing some leather goods human, relax!
There's a lot of orange at Vols games but only one of those true vintage jackets. And that's why you do the repair.
Shaddap You Face 🤣 loved that song as a kid great work anyway man 👍
Yet another great job Steve
Steve got mad skills!
Have you ever done a shop and tool tour? Those little tweezer cutters are fascinating and I’d love a closer look.
You crack me up, talking to yourself. Lol. Jacket turned out wonderful.
Nice. Very reasonable 👌. Awesome job Steve.
Ignore the haters Steve, some people just don’t understand that sentimental value is priceless.
Keep up the great work. ❤️❤️❤️
Love the new Tattoo by the way, you should get a full Viking sleeve???
Please don't take this the wrong way Mr Bedo, but I hope people keep moaning at you because I love it when you make fun at them. It totally cracks me up! Great work on the jacket x
You're right, there's way too much going on in the world to sweat the small stuff. I really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Steve-arino, , "You cracks myself up, too!" Great job, Dude. Hah, hah, hah, SHUT UP! 😂😃
Thank You Steve! Excellent Work! ! ! !
Good job. I love the saying you played.
Lighter is better as life is very short excellent service excellent work with a side of funny Srstyle
This isn't even a repair, this is tailoring, as the customer wants the sleeves lengthened. So all the haters need to STFU! You couldn't buy a jacket with longer sleeves, even if you wanted to. Also, that leather is gorgeous.
Awesome job. Definitely don't miss my varsity jacket, that thing was itchy, lol
"excuse me , could I trouble u for a glass of water..?"...."lady u can trouble me for a glass of Shut The Hell Up!" Hahaha hillarious scene in Happy Gilmore I think!! Lmao!!
Once again Steve great work
Great job as usual
