It's crazy how these popular RUclips people. They have multiple cameras, have special lenses, and special lighting. You have one camera! You do a better video. I love your videos! I have learned so much, about shoes, bags everything! So thank you very much, keep on bringing out the great videos!
Yes, Steve, we helped - but we didn't do it all by ourselves! Your professionalism, hard work, educating us about having a work ethic, tolerance for people who do things differently, and your sense of humor about the absurdities of this world, made us want to come back and watch. The bag turned out amazingly. Thank You for sharing!
You didn’t do this for the money Steve. You did this for a deeper meaning. How many times did you think of your dad while do this project, I thought of mine while looking at this video. I think the plaque from YouTub came at the right time, you deserved it , congratulations Steve and I wish you many more awards ahead of you. 👍
And BTW -it’s $800 minus $200 for the leather material used! Also, you can subtract the rent, lights, heat, electric and taxes! Plus video production so we could watch it! So the “days pay” isn’t as huge as you think! Great job Steve!
Thank You for Your service to Our Country Chris .🇺🇸 Another Fantastic restoration Steve! I bet it looks just as good 3 years later !!and well in Your way to 200 k subs !!
STEVE ! You are such a good teacher. That --- TODAY --- Moments ago, I finished hand stitching the holdfast/ footbed and welt... on a pair of cowboy boots... without a last. It took 3 failed attempts before I got the alignment correct.(the upper stretched out of shape) ... But ...I GOT IT RIGHT ! Owner tried them on and the size is correct. It is awesome... to me .. to have completed this stage of the resole on these boots. Thank you, for sharing your skills !
Great work and a great bag. I can see why he and/or his son wanted it restored. Will be handed down through generations. Congrats on the 100K subscriber award. Well Done
Wow! You did it to me again Steve......a leather case now......sheesh! First you fix leather jackets after I’d given mine away, now you fix a leather brief case.....after I ditched my old one. You did a magical job with that case. Well done. Congrats on your RUclips award, you deserve it, Shine on
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC Beautiful work. If you would like to reduce hand tremors and improve your fine muscle control, look into Magnesium Malate supplements. There are many peer-reviewed studies you can look into. I have found within 30 days of supplementing, you will see a nearly complete reduction of shaking hands. The added bonuses include headache reduction and reduced muscle sorness. If you find more metal components in leather; you can convert the rust (iron oxide) to iron tannate which won't rust with a comercially available rust converter. There’s nothing more satisfying than watching the gifted hands of a master craftsman at work! Love this so much! Gratitude for making these videos available to us!
I love watching yr video. You can do amazing things to the bag . All the old bags you can turn into new ones . Great transformation. No many people have yr talents .
Just when you think it's unrepairable, "super Steve" is here. Yet another great transformation. 👌👌👌💼💼💼 I think the owner is very happy with his present.
So awesome... to see the owner and hear his stories. Another magnificent Bedo’s restoration. Thanks for sharing and kudos for all that hand sewing of the frame!
Congratulations for the You Tube Award. You gave another life to that piece of history, which seemed like mission impossible. Happy Birthday to your customer, we appreciate his service and your talents.
You have such a good heart. You give tirelessly to others and you show respect to the product through your craft. I really, really enjoyed this project video. And, congratulations on your RUclips accomplishment. Keep up the great work.

You my friend are a wind up merchant who has a big heart of gold and cares your dad would be very proud of you you are simply the best please take care and stay safe
Congratulations Steve. Working all day to get the bag done for the customer’s birthday showed your big heart. You’re a good man and an outstanding cobbler. God bless you and your family.
I sharpen my disposable blades all the time. It saves me a lot of money when done over the years, and I can control how sharp I want it. The steel of those disposable blades are very decent too. Love this restoration project.
As an amateur hobbyist, I learn so much from watching him do these repairs. I strop my utility knife blades before use and they make it weeks longer. Thanks, Steve…besides being an awesome cobbler, you are an awesome human. Love this channel!! and Congrats on your RUclips award!
Of all the hours that I've spent watching your amazing videos, this is by far my favorite show! Absolutely a gorgeous piece of work! And Chris's response was great. Thanks so much for bringing us along, and a big CONGRATS on the 100K RUclips award! One of these days it would be so cool to see you re-dye and Big 4 your shop apron! 😀 Thanks again, Steve, for all the enjoyment you give us...
This is the 3rd or 4th time I'm playing this, as it's been in the background will I work...but I'm just now realizing that he did this in one freaking day!!! When I first watched this, & he was talking about Saturday being the Dad's birthday, I assumed it was like the next Saturday, so he only had a week to get this done....but no, he had one day to work on this & complete it...that is impressive, & I don't impress easily (maybe I do, I don't know). I'm really much more impressed that Bedo agreed to drop everything & bang this out by it's crazy deadline, than I am that he completed in one day...that's some selflessness to make some folks happy, really going above & beyond the call of duty on this one - bravo!! Yet another of your miracle restorations that makes it into my top three favorites--and I had a birthday myself close to this customer's! Just got a chance to view it today, and it was a nice belated birthday gift. You brought that old leather back to life and made that bag as good as new. Congratulations again on your award from youtube--you deserve it!
True craftsmanship is something that is very rare in today's time. But when you come across it, and the craftsman himself, it's almost like receiving a sermon in life. The important things in what we do and the spirit of how we do it. Loved the video! Thank you!
Thank you for your service Chris. We ALL appreciate you and your sacrifices to protect this, our GREAT Nation! Happy Birthday and wishing you many, many more! Very fitting for your 100K plaque Steve, congratulations! Great story! Great video, AMAZING job!
Congrats on the 100k milestone! I appreciate your work ethic and long days as a viewer. It's nice to see you getting rewarded for your experience, talent and time it takes you to post these videos!
There´s always a fair reward for those who share knowledge, art, craftmanship and good bives too; but most important when doing it in an uninterested way or without banal purpose. Cheers !, well done. Thanks a lot.
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, GREAT Job, I have the exact leather replacement in my inventory, 4 the bag, when I straighten out leather I use a mix of water and liquid dish soap, on zippers I use Olive oil 2 clean and bees wax 2 lube, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Hey Steve, just found your channel today. Saw the thumbnail of this black bag. I have the same bag in brown. Was an Army Aviator during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Two tours in Viet Nam and two in Europe. My bag went with me everywhere. Still in decent shape, scuffed and worn and a little misshapen. But still usable. Brought back a lot of memories. Thanks!
That was a masterful renovation, surely the best I've watched. Bedos is the place to have your leather treasures restored. Congratulations Steve on receiving you plaque from RUclips. That's your reward for bringing people's treasures back to life & entertaining so many viewer's you are such a skillful Gentleman.
Congratulations again on your 100,000 subscribers Steve ! We love your videos not just for the outstanding craftsman you are, but also the personal touches Just like this. Making a son's birthday gift for his Father happen in time for his birthday ! It's great to hear the stories and memories that make these items PRICELESS as well as the SECOND LIFE you've given them ! " let's continue " 👍❤
Excellent restoration job. I think I fell asleep and had to go to bed, so I missed the job, but I forced myself to stay up until you completed it. I wouldn't have expected anything less from you.
Congrats on your plaque and another great project. You are not crazy to resharpen your blades. I took French leather working courses and the cutting knife used in the courses was a clicker knife. Part of the initial instruction was how to sharpen your clicker knife blade with a file to be razor sharp. It's not just about being cheap or traditional, as I have a few razor knives in my tool box, but about economics and having tools on hand when you need them. Buying blades adds up, and if you run-out of sharp blades while in a project, maybe late at night or running up to a deadline, there is no time to pop out to get some more. Knowing how to touch up a blade is a good skill to practice and know. Same goes for having hand sewing skills, for when the machines can't do it. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations!!! HI, STEVE! You earned that plaque, but you deserve the gold medal! That bag was in a really dirty state, but it's beautiful now! You are the master restorer!
Wow, that bag has come to life again. Looks awesome! This video was very diverse. The filming from outside the window(nice touch). There was the blade sharpening with the trigger challenge, the coffee and cookie break, the RUclips plaque unveiling (congratulations) and finally a customer testimonial. How are you going to keep that up? As you say " Let's continue"
Wow 😳 can’t believe, that bag could even be saved??? You really are a Bag genius!!! I’d never trust anyone but, you and your shops team, to repair one of my bags 💼 Keep up the great work!!! And, what better a worthy cause, like one our proud Military men!!! Thanks for the reveal 👍🏻
Yeah, man! I've got my grandfather's 16mm B&H projector with all the stickers from the Grace Line all over the case's exterior. Makes it totally cool. Grace Line was a cruise line that among other destinations, ran from Miami to Cuba and South America, where they lived.
Steve, you deserve it not only are you a highly skilled artisan but you seem like a really nice guy. I really enjoy all of your videos just amazing how you can transform & reinstate leather goods. Thank you Steve for creating such fascinating content.
Hi Steve,I used to watch your videos time to time. You know, there is a proverb"People can look at three things without being bored, fire, water and how someone else is working". This is how I explained myself the reason why I like to watch your videos....until I saw flag out of your window. So that was another reason to watch, which never crossed my mind before. You do great job Steve, best of luck to you. And congratulations on 100000 subscription.
I like that you sharpen disposable blades. We use everything for 10 minutes then send it to the landfill. Reusing and extending the life of stuff is a good thing, even for a 10 cent blade.
Story behind it was as good as the rebuild. While not as easy, getting the stories behind the items is really great. Congrats on the 100k, I think 500k is the next plaque. Soon...
How are you so chipper and productive so early in the morning? You did a great job as always and the owner really appreciated it. What you can do with leather continues to amaze. Congratulations on your 100000 subscribed viewers. We appreciate you as much as you appreciate us.
Also class of 1984. Raised by an equipment mechanic from a coal mining family. From that and some years in the Society for Creative Anachronism, I've seen a lot of cool artisan projects, and even contributed some modest efforts from my own hand. That bag bag, however, is pretty impressive. I think I may be inspired to work on a few things that have been in the back of my my mind for a while.
Wow! That bag has some stories behind it. Man I could have listened to Chris go on for hours. He must have some amazing experiences to share. Thanks Steve and Thanks Chris. Happy birthday to you too, Sir. November is a great month to be born. Ahem.
This was really heartwarming. I love your videos, Steve. I came for the awesome craftsmanship but I stayed for your storytelling. I know that probably sounds cheesy but it’s true.
Dude, I'm only 27minutes in on the aviator bag and really digging your channel...Kudos to you... I was just commissioned to build a replica of a B-650 Type VIII aviator and your video has helped tremendously !! Thank you!! Stay you...and safe!!!
Its a Gladstone bag! At long last I get to see the master at work. Seeing your process working itself out. Wonderful work. Well deserved RUclips plaque . I've been wanting to see how the frame goes on....just as I suspected, hand sewn. I so want to make one of those. Lol. After my briefcase saga..... being a dressmaker, I don't do oblong and square shapes, I do curves . Drama queen #1 !!
Steve-this is one of my favorite videos that I've seen of yours. It pretty much sums up why I (and so many others) are addicted to your posts. You provide a truly valuable service to so many people, and you do it with the passion and dedication that we all should have in our lives, and work. Your customer said it all, when he mentioned the memories , and history attached to this bag. Thank you for sharing your skills and passions with us! Be well-see you soon for a coffee break!
Really appreciated hearing that navigator's story. I know full well how things have transitioned from the leather flight bag to the iPad. I spent 35 years in nautical charting with the feds. In that time we went from pen & ink map making to high tech digital charts with instantaneous updates. It was a fun period in history, one that I doubt my kids will ever experience in the same way.
i like the oldschool youtube vibe in these like it's not overly edited it's not clickbait it's not a show
It's crazy how these popular RUclips people. They have multiple cameras, have special lenses, and special lighting.

You were very kind putting aside another project to enable this man to gift the bag back to his Dad. I hope your family appreciates you.

And BTW -it’s $800 minus $200 for the leather material used! Also, you can subtract the rent, lights, heat, electric and taxes! Plus video production so we could watch it! So the “days pay” isn’t as huge as you think! Great job Steve!

@Bulldozer yep! Its about the money.

Great work and a great bag. I can see why he and/or his son wanted it restored. Will be handed down through generations. Congrats on the 100K subscriber award. Well Done
Range marks and scars add character to the bag, adds to the story. You are a master at resurrecting what most others would trash.

I’m a morning person
Also class of 1984. Raised by an equipment mechanic from a coal mining family. From that and some years in the Society for Creative Anachronism, I've seen a lot of cool artisan projects, and even contributed some modest efforts from my own hand. That bag bag, however, is pretty impressive. I think I may be inspired to work on a few things that have been in the back of my my mind for a while.
As an aviation lover and flight Attendant with Heart i Loved this project 💕👍🏻
CONGRATULATIONS, STEVE!!!! I'm so happy for you!
Well deserved award Steve, keep turning out these fantastic videos.
Hey Steve great job on the bag and the cherry on top had to be the best birthday present he got also congrats on the 100000mile stone
Thank you both for a great new years eve video to watch!
👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Really appreciated hearing that navigator's story. I know full well how things have transitioned from the leather flight bag to the iPad. I spent 35 years in nautical charting with the feds. In that time we went from pen & ink map making to high tech digital charts with instantaneous updates. It was a fun period in history, one that I doubt my kids will ever experience in the same way.
I love watching you work, sir. Thanks for making this channel possible.
Wow I would think it can’t be repaired, but you made it! Amazing 😍 Congratulations Steve!
