  • Experience the beauty and serenity of Pagham Harbour, a stunning coastal nature reserve managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). This video takes you on a tranquil journey through the diverse habitats found within the reserve's boundaries.
Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the salt marshes, where numerous wading birds like redshanks, oystercatchers, and curlews wade through the shallow pools in search of food as the tide ebbs and flows. Marvel at the graceful avocets with their distinctive upturned beaks meticulously building their nests among the marsh vegetation.
Venture into the shingle ridges and sandy beaches, home to nesting little terns and ringed plovers scurrying back and forth. Keep an eye out for the well-camouflaged sea kale plants that dot the shoreline.

@ChrisGoesWild I like to think that many people are just social rejects that have no idea how to interact with people but sadly more often that not its just they love to be annoying and rude 🤣

She was probably wondering what you were doing, although seems quite obvious to us, still rude not to wave back

@@ChrisGoesWild You'll need to visit Scotland very soon - it's a relatively short breeding season up here. Islay isn't really a thing for us Scots birders - it's too far South. When you come up here, you really should go much farther North. What about Orkney or Shetland? xxxxx

A super video again! People can be so ignorant - no wonder I prefer birds and animals! I think the bushes you passed were blackthorn - flowers before leaves. Then it's hawthorn with lovely scented blossom, this month - leaves before flowers! And yes, love the scent of gorse - seems better in the sunshine. I think it's a mix of coconut and pineapple!

Funny isn’t it! It always astonishes me how often I say hi to people out and about and they completely ignore it. I have to say too from my travels so far it seems to be an entirely english phenomenon!
