Fiddes Stripped Pine Wax is a warm honey colour, used on bare Stripped Pine wood along with Pine furniture and fittings around the home. It has been used for many years on Pine antique furniture as it offers such a lovely smooth finish.

Hello 🙂 The finish looks really great, but I wonder whether the colour would change as the pine ages? Would it go more orange/yellow in tone?

Hi, this would only happen if the Pine was exposed to direct sunlight over time, but the wax would offer some protection. I hope this helps :)

Is this just the wax straight onto sanded pine or has it been sealed with shellac sanding sealer before hand?

Can you use black wax on top of pine furniture that already has a finish to darken the orange color and condition?

Hi, This will depend what kind of finish is on your Pine, but in most cases you can use a Dark wax like: priorypolishes.co.uk/product/fiddes-mellow-wax-furniture-polish/ in the colour 'Jacobean' or if it's only a wax finish that's currently on your Pine then I would suggest using: priorypolishes.co.uk/product/fiddes-jacobean-wax/ , as the supreme wax works on top of existing wax finishes.
