    Can’t wait for this for the 4runner. Great job on the install. And the edge trim makes it perfect

    Looks like the UCA is set to 3 degrees by the placement of the spacer, set them to 2 degrees of caster and it will move the wheel a little more forward and clear the body mount better.

    Very cool. I just put 33’s on my Tacoma..didn’t want any rubbing issues. Bigger tires definitely improve the overall look..and hopefully performance. Also..Falken wildpeaks are very quiet on the road

    I would suggest to seal the edges on the other side of the c4 fab.

    Rattle can FDE your fender liners to match the Quicksand. 😂😮

  • @chrismonticello5916
    @chrismonticello5916 Год назад

    You spent quite a bit of money on the liners, the relocation kit. Paying the fab shop to do the install. You could have solved all your problems with a 6” lift. So I have to ask, why didn’t you lift?

    • @ArkansasOffroad
      @ArkansasOffroad  Год назад +5

      That is not true unfortunately. It's best to have the smallest lift possible with the most amount of wheel travel possible. The taller you go, the more your center of gravity and stability suffers, your suspension geometry gets way off, your shocks top out and you lose down travel, your CV angles are bad and can bind much more easily, etc. And even if I lifted it higher, it would still hit the cab mount area. A higher lift isn't the answer. Most people think it is, but it introduces a whole host of other problems. This is the proper way to do it and gain the most out of your suspension.

    You dont rub on full tuck on the upper control arms?

  • @chrisking6695
    @chrisking6695 5 месяцев назад

    The spacer is called a bump stop. And you want that because you don't want your damn shocks to top out.

    • @ArkansasOffroad
      @ArkansasOffroad  5 месяцев назад

      There’s an optional spacer under the bump stop to make it longer or shorter. That’s what I’m referring to. The shock has enough travel to cycle fully upwards without that bump. I’m doing that to stay out of my upper fender.

    Neither you nor, (I presume) your child if present, wore either ear noise protection or face masks (inhaling microfibres of plastic and metal). Also, Safety Glasses are not to just protect from a blade accident but also flying particles. This is not a good practice or look in a RUclips video. 😱🙈🙅‍♂️

      He was inside when I operated the grinder or other power tools. Sometimes it's ok to live on the edge.
