Dude... thank you. I have to get new tires (and wheels, of course) and saw these on their website. So thankful you did this review/demo. I will be going this route for sure. C4 is doing awesome stuff.
I just picked up my 2023 TRD Tacoma a few days ago and definitely need a little lift and tires. I was thinking I was stuck with 33's but this looks like a great option. Thanks!
Depends on where you live and what you do. If you use a truck like I do here on the channel then 35s for sure. If you don’t get out a ton then you’ll be fine with 33s
Just a thought, you should make tee shirts that have the tacoma w/Kimbo and/or tacoma w/tent, like the sat van tee shirt. I wear a 2x and would wear both!
How do you put on 35"s or even 33"s without re-gearing? Got 33"s on my 2001 Ford Explorer and to get it right with the 33"s BFG KO2's I run 4.10's to make all the rpm's and the like match. TO run 35"s I would have to go to 5.11's or 4.86's. My mechanic got up my butt when I drove in the 2022 Tacoma I just bought to haul a 4 Wheel Camper that I'm getting in a few weeks. He said the Tacoma is already well built 'Don't f**k with it' .. and I'm taking his recommendation. LOL 🤠 Well, 9 months later and I'm in the same spot with the Tacoma .. I did add 265/75 16" BFG KO2's and over time I have experienced the shifting problem and cruise control issue .. the cause? I am under geared at 3.91. I will shortly be going to 5.29's .. when I get them installed I'll give you all an update.
I guess if you have the tools, materials and know how to fabricate your own parts that fit perfectly then you could do it cheaper 🤷🏼♂️ Or you can support a small American business and get perfection right from the jump 👌🏻
@@TalonSei Oh for sure I will buy it from them and will use your code for the %5 disc. For me C4 fab's are the best fabricating armor and things for our rigs. Just bitching about ti! I was hopping for a $350 price range hahahaha
So in essence , these upgrades aren’t worth it! Just go with 33’s and be happy you haven’t had to cut into your $50,000 truck . For me, owning a TRD off-road was a dream that I sacrificed and waited for . I have roughly $60,000 into mine . I really don’t want to cut into my body or frame. Maybe if I had 5-7 vehicles and was getting paid by these platforms, and RUclips channels to test this stuff . But for an average Joe w/ wife or kids, just owning a moderately aggressive off road monster is enough. I think it makes more sense adding all these mega off road upgrades to an older rig
My 35s are still rubbing at the bottom of the pinch weld around turns. I have a full cab mount replacement and a 3 inch lift with locked offroad suspension. Do you think I can get this settled with an alignment? Seems like other ppl with a similar setup don't get as much rubbing as I do. Wondering if anyone is experiencing the same.
@@TalonSei I assumed as much! Yeah, as soon as my 33s went on I wanted 35s and as soon as my 35s went on I wanted 37s 😂 Great video though! Looks like a sweet kit

Awesome review! I was thinking of dirtKing but after seeing this, c4 is where I'm going with now.

This will work great with 33s and 35s 👍🏻
@@TalonSei in your opinion whats better... 33s or 35s

Totally in for a 2nd gen taco kit!
I’m mulling over the idea of doing this to my ‘19 4runner ORP. Currently on 285’s

I don't own a truck or big tires, this was stilll cool 😎 to see ✌️
Does the C4 setup still require a CMC?
Alright I can’t be the only one who noticed the writing in the inside of the BMR at 4:09 😂😂😂
That’s the unofficial name of the kit 😎
@@TalonSei amazing🤣

Beast mode engaged
💪🏼
Which olight was the copper one I’m trying to find it
What is name of your vinyl let me know
Gearing ratio? Can the steering components handle the extra weight?
@4:09 👀 I saw that!
Unofficial - official kit name 🤣
I've been waiting for this for some time now but Damn!! $589 for it is a bit expensive

What wheel offset do you recommend? I hope wheel spacers are not a must.
I advise against spacers. It depends what type of fitment you want. These wheels are -18 but I will probably be switching them up soon
Would you recommend this kit for 33 inch tires? And what’s the advantage of running 35” over 33’s?
35s are pretty overkill… 33s are perfect for most people. You would have perfect clearance with 33s 👍🏻
@@TalonSei Awesome!! Planning on the kit & 33” tires for now. Love the channel man, keep it up!
The only (unless I'm forgetting one) benefit of larger tires is more ground clearance. You get 1" more with 35s over 33s.
Better off-road capability all around. Bigger obstacles and rougher trails are much easier with larger tires.
@@TalonSei That makes sense, I was wondering why 35”s are so popular in the overlanding world

Is the pinch well smash needed for the C4 fender liner?
Yes, and for any oversize tire fitment.
Awesome!! 🔥 whats the name of those sunglasses?

Probably alignment and proper UCA fitment would fit your issue. I have absolutely no run with this kit, fox 2.5s and spc ucas
Thank you for your response. I have aftermarket UCA's as well. My wheel offset is -33 so its pretty aggressive. I hope an alignment does it!
What do you think…could you squeeze 37s in there? Lol
You probably could but you would rub when the truck flexes lol. 35s are pretty overkill for Tacomas.
