Once again, the boys are in NYC for a few days and this is not a move to a new studio.
Was never concerned abaht it
@@TyRich82same but you’d be surprised how many people are freaking out over nothing with the same “ESPN ruined this”
Why did pat promise to Rapsheets face he was still going to be a part of the show and then never have him on lol.
Rapsheet was the best regular and now we have eyeliner schefty instead
@@Foederati_JDThe doot is open for Rapsheet to come on. Its been his own choice that he isnt on.
@@ianbahamonde6679most are looking for any reason to hate the change.
Respect Jeff, because I remember soo many people talking down on him after that hire .....he popped up back at ESPN like a boss
Massive respect for the man. I had no idea what was going on last year, but this head-scratcher decision makes perfect sense now. Having been the one to go to a unit to help fix culture, nothing but respect for the job Jeff Saturday did with the Colts.
It was really stupid, because anyone in Indy or with a little bit of football knowledge knew that Saturday didn't come in to fix problems. Most the conversations I had was that he came in to eradicate bad apples so any new HC comes in without locker room problems.
He's a goof!
They were right. He knew he wasn't hired to win games. He said it right there he was going 0-8 and his goal was to fix the culture not help the team win
@@Q_Sertorius They were right and he agreed with them
Jeff Saturday is absolutely class. Man said we’re going to lose but we’re going to rebuild this culture. The colts could make the playoffs this year with their first game starter out for the year. I think those men in Indy listened!
And he said "I know my job is to take the blame for every bit of it" too lol. Talk about a real franchise guy, that wasn't exactly the 'best look' for him(I mean, there's been experienced HCs that haven't gotten a single win in a whole season, so it shouldn't look THAT bad...), but he was more than willing to do it for the team.
People can say what they want about Irsay, but I'm pretty sure he's doing something right if he has guys willing to go that far to help him out.
Jeff is the tank god. He got us our future QB.
The Back up is a better QB than the starter.
@@recrdholdr learn ball before you comment buddy
@@RicoSuaveTheGOATI mean Richardson has played what like 4 games? Gotten hurt in all of them? He’s definitely more talented but still has to prove it.
This was a great interview. It’s the kind of conversation that only happens when people have a background off the air. Love what Pat and the boys bring to JSPN.
True, one of the main reasons I watch NFL now and I'm a kiwi
wtf is Jspn…🤨

I said it from the beginning; Jeff was brought in to evaluate the situation and report to Jimmy and Chris who needed to go, stay, etc. This kinda confirmed it for me.
Love how Candid Saturday was, had a feeling he knew what his role was there, fix the O-line and culture and get out, too much of a family man to be a full time HC, would love him as an O-line coach though if he ever wanted to do it. Man is loyal to the horshoe just gotta respect it.
Would be a fantastic culture guy! And would be great at developing the young OLinemen
jeff seems like a pragmatic guy. Was a good choice by Jim to bring someone in who didnt have an ego for the role that jeff had to play.
Not only that but he brought in a guy who knew he had no chance to actually be the HC after the season. Look at what happened with the Raiders and their special teams coach who was the interim a couple years ago. Leads the team to the playoffs after Gruden is fired and the team rallied for him and pushed for him to be the HC. He's now a special teams coach on another team and the Raiders fired their HC again and McDaniels reportedly had lost the team for most of the year before his firing. Too often an interim is led to think he has a shot to be the HC when he never really did and I can only imagine the stress and mental anguish they feel when they get put in a position like that and coach for their future. Jeff knew he had no coaching future so it was smart honestly. Irsay didn't hurt anyone by doing it and gave them a chance to bring a new staff of actual coaches in the off season.
That Minnesota game was crazy, 4 field goal drives, a pick 6, a blocked punt touchdown, only 1 good offensive drive that half for a touchdown. twice in a row Minnesota went for it 4th and 1 from their own 31 and failed and the colts got 6 points out of it, there’s no way any coach could’ve felt confident because they never showed that they could sustain a drive to take time off the clock.
The colts have truly built off of the foundation that this man helped lay last year, without their franchise qb.
Anyone who really watched the game knew the Colts could lose. Our offense was so so bad and the Vikings was one of the best last year.
@@stephencarnagua8300agreed said the same thing at half
Just gotta say, love what McAfee has done in the sports world. Brought something special to the media world.....a sitting where anyone can feel welcomed.
this is the candid crap we want... All us colts fans want to know WTF was said that one Saturday night in Minnesota lol
boomer media: from the bottom of my heart, rip bozo
Jeff saying one of his goals was to fix the oline is exactly why I didn't care what everyone was saying. That oline was horrendous and the ENTIRE reason the colts sucked.
Yep. Say what you want about Matt Ryan, but he was brought in on the pretense that he'd be behind a badass o-line. The QB/RB can't do much when there's a free runner up the middle every other play.
It started during the Jacksonville game two years ago
The line sucked but a lot of players sucked. Matt Ryan made some bone headed plays even when he wasn’t under pressure. I wouldn’t really say anyone besides Zaire Franklin had a good season.
Having some “stooge”ask the guests questions really makes them feel comfortable and open it up! Genius show.
Colts legend he had a mission to fix the culture and the oline and the mission was accomplished. Mad respect for Jeff Saturday ✊🏼💪🏼
"Barks we in trouble my man" 😂
Jeff would have been crazy to have turned down being a Head Coach of an NFL team. It is a once in a lifetime experience.
I want to be like Jeff Saturday when I grow up. I’m 35.
Me too.
I’m 36.
I’d say it’s never too late to start a Family , but with you it is. Idk what sun someone would have to commit to be forced to call you family

Love you coach!!!
Jeff Saturday has been one of ESPNs best addition as of recent
I was at the 33 pt comeback in MN. 1/4 of the fans dipped out at the half. I stayed to get my money's worth. I did. Best game atmosphere I have been a part of.
Amazing segment 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love Jeff Saturday, I wish it was different in indy for him but his energy is awesome
The city of Indianapolis loves you Jeff!!
Crazy that Irsay brought him in and said "We're going 0-8" up front. I don't think I knew that.
changes a whole lotta perspective huh lol 😂
I like the hell out of Jeff Saturday
"We've called them all" 😂😂😂
refreshingly candid interview. hes a good dude
I was so happy for the first game win. 🎉🎉🎉
Eric bieniemy like “oh you got the job and conditions”😂
Always liked this guy. Now I understand the hire. It seems he was brought in solely to get that team back to acting like pros. I think this new trend of former players becoming coaches is doing good things for teams. I never understood why more former players didn't end up coaching.
Had no hope for him as a coach, but will always love him as a Colt
How is Jeff Saturday not an O-Line coach for one of 32 NFL teams? He seems like the exact right type of dude to get guys to buy in and work their asses off. Maybe that’s just me, but I freakin love this guy.
Didn't you listen? NFL coaches give their lives to this game. That's why most players don't go into coaching.
@@AllUpOns nah I commented this before they got to that point in the interview. You’re totally right, and I see how he wants to enjoy his life rather than dedicate his entire existence to another team. If he gets a bit older and wants to come back, I think he’ll be fantastic.
Legit that that was Vinny from the Jersey shore on the panel when I first started watching
I said the same thing at half time of the Vikings game I said to me dad it’s not over we can’t score or move the ball.
The hate I got from work the next day saying that I just felt like our offense wasn’t doing anything so nice to see Jeff had the same opinion
7:55 atta baby DB !! Going to bat for the squad
Jeff got us Anthony. Love him forever.
8:20 “you sound like LeBron right now” 🤣
Jeff Saturday is a solid man and a solid coach should go back to it
Jeff Saturday is a leader hands down.
Jeff “and I will say this” Saturday
Great interview 😂
Jeff was the best center in the league for a decade. Rock star.
Jeff lookin good nowadays
Hearing them talk, how the hell did Frank Reich get another job!?
Panthers owner got sold a baaaaad deal haha
Tepper is an idiot.
Theres a reason panthers fans hate tepper
Privileged like lot of former head coaches and coordinators. Its a buddy buddy system and nepotism league. Why do you think they are pressing for the Rooney rule and why franchises receive a comp pick when a minority candidate gets hired as a HC or GM?
NFL has always been like this. Look at lotta guys careers who haven't played but just knew someone in the league

Look Jeff Saturday Real stand up guy I like his analysis to Great dude
Fun part: some people who critic this move called for Lynch to take over the Raiders despite of him not even having hs coaching expierence :p
Did the show move to nyc??
As we say across the pond ... Top bloke ! Wouldn't fight him in a phone box either !
He turned the culture back around and now look at the team. With minshwew mania at qb they are in the hunt and legit have a chance at a post season push.
Jeff is awesome. That echo in that studio is ridiculously annoying
Not crying about it so might as well laugh about it 😂
I never faulted Jeff for taking the job as head coach. I just hated how it got to that point in the first place for the Colts.
Saturday was so focused on fixing the internal team, he forgot they actually won a game 😂
My Pops was a Colts fan before he passed so i always rooted for them on the side outta love.
I think we all knew Saturday as a HC wont end well and time passed, but okay... still think it was a fun but flawed (but i mean anyone expect else then even prior?) time now. (Even as a other team fan following em through my Dad off love lol)
Jeff seems like a fantastic guy.
His hiring makes way more sense with him as a guy brought in to un-screw up the culture/locker room.
Jeff is awesome to listen to. Glad he has the space on this show to let loose a little
The fact that we won a game instead of 0-8 that’s something
He got to be an NFL Head Coach for a few weeks, something very few get to do.
Mr Saturday is one of the good guys....
“you sound like lebron right now”😂😂😂
Funniest thing I've heard today 🤣🤣
So Irsey is solid now?? Dude is a professional partier. It’s like he’s high 24/7.
Show will always shill for Irsay.
Jealous
Jeff should get some credit for the success this year. They sucked still but he set the tone and reminded the veterans of what it is to be a Colt
Free chance to be an NFL head coach with practically 0 expectations. That's pretty rare
Are they in the thunderdome?
No they’re at ESPN headquarters.
Funny, a major sports news source makes an accusation that Indianapolis players were betting on THEIR OWN GAMES, but only Jameson Williams really got punished this year. Detroit Vs Everybody
Thank goodness for josh mcdaniels
If Matt Ryan takes the play clock down to 3 seconds every snap in the Vikings game they win that game comfortably. He did the EXACT same thing he did in the Falcons Super Bowl loss to the Patriots, he snapped the ball with 20 seconds left every single snap even when they completely lost the momentum. It was atrocious clock management.
Shits going to hit the wall Jeff! How much you wanna pay me? Ok im in!
And somehow Frank got a job the next year. Amazing. Now look at Carolina.
Does anyone else think he sounded like Danny McBride for a minute???
I like Jeff
People were mad that he got hired but he was hired in a position to fail so if they hired a real coach and he failed then got fired, now the colts are wrong for using that coach as a scapegoat. People are just stupid
Pats crew look like they all live at the same trailer park.
Is anyone else hearing the really bad echo in this video??
He is just one of the cool kids.
I feel bad for jeff… if the 30 pt comeback didnt happen from the vikings… his legacy would have been much better
Colts magical ride is over today boys! Jake The Snake 🐍 Browning and Jamarr Chase are coming for that wildcard spot!
Pat sitting high up on his perch is just so him.
well I for one gotta say he lied to Irsay, he didn't go 0-8... he beat the raiders.
Jesus the audio is awful in that room
When will y'all fulfill ur bet a do a show in Detroit
Have some respect no one caught that 💯
The fact that Frank Reich got hired by the Panthers is a joke after hearing the in depth mess the colts were when he was fired.
This is weird. Acting like he wasn’t trying to win
I wish Jim Irsay would stay in his lane and stop acting like Bob Irsay. In hindsight, his decision to bring Jeff Saturday into the building was probably the move that made the most sense. Reich's regime was a disaster for the "Horseshoe Culture" and drastic change was necessary. The organization is healthier and seems to be headed in the right direction, despite Chris Ballard's failures as an executive.
The sound quality inside this studio is awful in pretty much every video.
Certainly a head scratcher. It's like there's zero acoustic treatment at all. Terrible sounding room. Plus either a hot room mic or maybe just zero gates on ALL the talent mics.
unpopular opinion I actually liked Jeff and wanted him to keep the job... fight with ya moms
Magic Johnson needs to take classes from this man
Love Saturday and want him as our head coach now. He didnt get the chance a lot of other coaches got and no one wanted to give him a chance
A lot of truth to what he’s saying the only trade off is he almost cost us JT. That relationship was damaged by Jeff rushing JT back on a lost season
Um did Pat just drop a bomb that players were betting against the team??
I never understood the outrage about his hire. It's very common in football (soccer) to hire former players as interim coaches , it happens all over world every year
It's mostly the media's fault. He was on ESPN a week before he took the field. And loud mouths like Stephen A expressed his opinion because he always thinks someone black should be named head coach. The rest just jumped on the bandwagon of outrage that an former player inexperienced in coaching got a shot first.
@@mazengwe28 Bill Cowher former Steelers coach was a out spoken jerk about it also. Not a colts fan, but I thought all that talk was very unfair, give the guy a chance.
@@mazengwe28yea SAS pulled the same crap when Steve Nash got hired to coach the nets. He said a black guy would never have been given the opportunity with no experience.
Meanwhile Durant specifically wanted Nash and SAS totally ignored both Derek Fisher and Jason Kidd getting head coaching jobs right after they retired as players.
The media in general loves race baiting but SAS really takes it to another level.
too good
I stop watching for a few days and you go out and get yourselves a new studio!?! I love getting to see more of the Boston Mullet but not at the expensive of the basketball net.
they dont have a new studio. they're just in nyc for a bit so they're using the Get Up studio until they go back to Indy
Pat The TRT and GH is making ya face bigger and red
Come coach the Raiders for a while
Who’s the clown with the cowboy hat?? You don’t wear a cowboy hat inside…
Why was Saturday torched for his lack of HC experience while Pierce gets back-slaps in a similar situation with the Raiders? Discuss . . .
One fits a narrative the media likes to push one doesn't.
