Thank you for rescuing us, but rules are rules. That will be 5065 credits for multiple counts of firing weapons inside the no fire zone, three counts of reckless flying, and one count of "Because it's Tuesday."
Yeah, at least was still better than the canonn megaship fiering on its defenders when frontier decided to not show that the restricted zones were empty and instead borched the jump into them and dumped hydras on the exploration ship filled vessel. Here the flight control was actively shooting at its defending fleet.
These sorts of events are giving the atmosphere of the game such a cool vibe. Most of us are carrying on about our usual business in human inhabited space, while we hear stories of are true Elite pilots defending our outposts from a species that is seemingly more advanced and powerful than our own. The neat part is that its actually happening. This video is hopefully going to be in the back of everyone's mind while running that courier mission next time.
I love that insight.. These RUclips videos are like news reels for the grinders working our "day job" delivering units of clothing or mining and trying to earn credits. I'm in a stripped down diamondback scout exploring and doing harmless side missions to make a buck. These guys are in tricked out fighters fighting aliens. A very cool game.
I had to run out of that station when I heard the Thargoid start firing. I had just picked up passengers in my Python and I immediately lost all of them because I got hit by a stray shot. I'm just glad that you guys were there
Meh, those combat mechanics were some of the most lacklustre shit I've seen in a long time. Same for encounter design. The way it moved seemed really weak/implausible, in the sense that it would be way too easy to exploit by simply having 3-6 pilots so that one would always be able to cover its front. I get that there are gameplay related design contraints but flying in a circle around that thing for minutes on end, missing half your shots… Eh. Also, weird that it has the power to stun your ship in more ways than one yet doesn't follow it up with a killing blow at any time.
