Maybe it's because I'm a European outsider but it's pretty clear to me that Trump is going to win unfortunately. Biden's health is declining visibly and nobody wants to be represented by someone like that, with all due respect for his long career. There NEEDS to be MEDICARE FOR ALL in the US!! My husband and I are on Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He fell and fractured his ankle right before things shut down for the pandemic. His surgery was around $15,000! He dislocated his shoulder in early April last year. They did a closed surgery to put it back in place, and that was about $5-7,000! My husband is doing well, but we both say this is ridiculous. The United States is the only country that does NOT have a form of universal health care. These surgeries should be 100% COVERED!! Surgeries....covered!!! Giving birth....covered!!! All medical tests and scans etc.....covered!!! This is what having universal health care can help give the people in the United States. Those in Congress don't complain because they basically have universal health care (paid for by the people)! So....when do THE PEOPLE get universal health care....paid for by the Government??? START TAXING THE HELL OUT OF THE ULTRA RICH AND CORPORATIONS!!! MAKE THEM PAY FOR IT!!! IT CAN HAPPEN!!!! The people NEED TO SPEAK UP TO CONGRESS AND MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Again, when most of the ENTIRE WORLD has some form of universal health care, and the United States is the ONLY country that is screwing its people out of money for health care instead of ACTUALLY taking care of them. People in the country would actually overall be better. People wouldn't be struggling to decide what they pay for....food, rent, or health care bills. People wouldn't have to file for bankruptcy because they can't afford to pay their health care bills. People wouldn't be dying more often because they can't afford to even see a doctor. How is THAT fair?! If the rich ACTUALLY paid what they NEED to pay in taxes, and maybe a little more, because THEY CAN AFFORD TO (they'll make the money back in two seconds), that money could actually be used to give the United States universal health care. People could actually not have to worry about medical bills. It might not be 100% perfect, but at least people don't have to have thousands or tens of thousands of dollars in medical debt. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, Africa, South America, all have a form of universal health care.....but NOT the United States. It's quite sad, especially since a majority of the country is DEFINITELY in favour of Medicare for all. It just needs to be accepted and implemented by the government.
Ask someone who comes from a country with coverage for all. It’s not what you think it is. It starts with government getting out of the insurance business. My husband and I are self employed. Prior to the affordable care act we had many choices, insurance was affordable and it actually paid for things. Now we have Oh Shit insurance. We pay a ridiculous amount, it covers nothing, and the deductible is so high if we have a major accident we’ll be in the hole. People do yourself a favor educate yourself. Do your research. Understand what a candidate believes in, the influence they have and vote for not against. You don’t help anyone now or in the future.
Travel to somewhere in N Mexico and walk back across the border. Viola! You now have Universal health care.

Let me just say, I have been in Charleston South Carolina for many many years...Born and bred. I have rarely had a democratic representative pass my doorstep or come in contact with me. But I have encountered many republican Grassroots campaigners . Democrats are not reaching out as well as they think, particularly with this race. Don't ever think that we are a lost cause. There are many more independents and dems than you can imagine down here. They just need to be encouraged to step outside of their crazy lives to vote. And they don't follow everything that's going on.
