Casper Rud could become a number 1 but it would be anomalous if he did. He doesn't have the mental strength and talent to be number 1 He made the most of his ATP score, playing a lot and participating in all possible tournaments Berettini should do the same to play as much as possible, those who play a lot get a lot of points in the ATP that make you rise among the first, even if you don't win big tournaments.
Ruud did say that he plays in a lot of tourneys because that is one of the way he can improve and practice. And that maybe one of the reason he got into the final of GS twice this year?
