    I want to say to you, US Open staff, a massive thanks for putting a 45min extended video so early after the match: this is how all the Slams channels should work. To me, an Italian and massive fan of Jannik, this loss still hurts, but it's undeniable that we are witnessing history in the making with these two great champions. Alcaraz was the best player in the key moments and deserved to win, and we must consider ourself lucky to have watched such an high-level game, one of the best shot-making wise in the recent histoty of the sport, live with our own eyes. This game and the previous encounter in Wimbledon are the first steps of a chivalrous rivalry between the two youngsters.

      I have the full match. The serve speed display was stuck at 125 mph from 2-1 in the fourth set to the end of that set. I don't think it's a coincidence that this section is completely missing from the highlights. They probably wanted to hide this failure. Shame on them.

    I never tought I could watch anything for 5 hours and still want more. For some reason I stopped watching tennis a long time ago (used to watch Nadal when he started), now Im back simply because of Alcaraz. This match reminded me of the 4-5hs battles from Rafa vs Roger, but what Alcaraz brings to the table it's completely unique. He is not like Rafa, or Djokovic, or Roger, he has his own style and should be recognised for that.

    The serve speed display was stuck at 125 mph from 2-1 in the fourth set to the end of that set. I don't think it's a coincidence that this section is completely missing from the highlights. They probably wanted to hide this failure. Shame on them.

    This is entertainment at the highest level. Can we compare this to the women's matches and say with a straight face that the prize money should be the same? I mean if it's modelling I'd expect women to be paid way more (which they are) because more resources should be allocated where there is more utility being produced. Call it patriarchy or capitalism but I'd say it's just common sense.

    I’m old enough to have been watching tennis since the 80’s. Alcaraz is something else. It’s not just his incredible skill and athletic prowess, it’s his mind. He’s so strong, such belief and willpower. I don’t know if the Big 3 will ever be equalled. Probably not. But I don’t see anyone stopping a fully-developed 21 yr old Alcaraz.

    • @saberdiamond3425
      @saberdiamond3425 Год назад +10

      Except the man who stood before him that day. Sinner is the only guy capable of stopping a 10/10 Alcaraz.

    • @KS-hk6oc
      @KS-hk6oc Год назад +7

      @@saberdiamond3425 It's crazy how many people praise Alcaraz and completely ignore Sinner. I mean, once Sinner fully develops his serve, I honestly don't see how even Alcaraz can stop him(unless Alcaraz develops his serve as well, but I'm not really sure how much he can improve it considering his height). He has pretty much perfect technique off both wings, has incoporated more drop shots into his game and his net game is improving day by day, and he's even changed his service motion so it would be more technically sound. And the crazy thing is, he's managed to improve on these aspects of his game in less than a year, thanks to his determination and the world-class coaching of Cahill and Vagnozzi. Once he gets used to his new serve, he's gonna be a nightmare of an opponent, even for a 10/10 Carlitos.

    • @francescojsb
      @francescojsb Год назад +1

      @@KS-hk6oc Those who only look at Alcaraz and ignore Sinner did not attend the matches between them at Wimbledon and in the Umag final, both won by Sinner.
      For the future, it seems to me that Alcaraz, despite being one year younger, is already "trained" both as a man-athlete and as a player, so Sinner (theoretically) should have more room for improvement. However, the future is difficult to predict, we can only wait for it to arrive to be spectators.
