Rajkumari - A story on positive parenting

Rajkumari demonstrates what can be promoted as positive parenting in homes and schools.
Positive parenting provides equal opportunity in thoughts, aspirations and opportunities to children and enables them to transgress the boundaries of the socially constructed binary opposites of masculinity and femininity.
In the formative years of children, every opportunity can be used to make them feel confident irrespective of gender. The focus of the film is to show that aptitude and capabilities are not gender dependent and as parents and elders, we must not reinforce children into roles based on gender.

This is a comment on the stereotypical ideology where in a fairytale the princess has all the qualities of beauty and physical appearance and sewing etc.. But when they get into trouble they require a man to save them.. They are often shown incapable of saving themselves. In the video when the teacher asks the student all of them reply that some MAN must have come and saved her... But only one said that no she is courageous enough to make her way out of the problem on her own. Beautiful message!
