Great video, well thought out. We are hobbyists maple syrup producers in east central Minnesota, my wife and I tap 150-175 trees. John Deere has always been the go to tractor here. But as of late the John Deere owners have been trading for Kubota’s. Lot more orange in the area now since Kubota dealer came to town. Best of luck!
I have the LS MT342. Got so much more for my money. Love the cab. Have 3 friends 1 with a 4 series and 2 with the 573. They all love their tractors. The fact that you have a dealer close that you trust is also a big factor.
I've got an LS MT7101 with the power shuttle shift. We looked at them all but found i just got more with the LS than the other brands. We were looking at the same one you were and then my wife realized the big tractor basically fit everywhere the little ones did but felt way more stable and the "instructor seat" is our special needs daughters favorite place to be when dads running the tractor. I've got over 200hrs in about 7-8months and no issues so far, just def, fuel and the regular maintenance. I added the third remote on the rear and it has the third function on the loader. Never wished I had a smaller tractor (especially when baling and hauling hay, or pretty much anything else) but always wished I had a bit bigger tractor. Plenty of power and the R-14 tires are pretty nice, I like them a lot more than I thought I would. The radio Bluetooth will reach my phone a long ways off (good and bad). And I love the air ride seat
I have a 5075e used for commercial work heavy selective clearing paired with a cosmo bully bpf 185 mulcher flail mower. It got 500hrs no problems and works it's guts out. Australia 🇦🇺
We own an LS. I can say after a few hundred hours, it is definitely a workhorse! It’s my go to for every day of jobs. We haven’t had any issues other than replacement of the front grill due to my over achieving with a grapple. 😂 I agree the resale numbers might be lower, but your saving that on the initial investment. Besides, it will be many years and many times the hours before I’ll trade it out for another tractor.
I bought an LS XR 4145 in 2018. I have 350 hours on it with absolutely zero problems. Kubota and LS are two of the few companies that actually make all of their own equipment in the 50 horse and under department. LS is less expensive without sacrificing much refinement. As for reliability I've had mine for 5 years now. Go for the LS if you haven't already!
I purchased the M4D-071 it didn’t have the radio I told the dealer I’m spending enough money with you, install a radio for free. No arguments I am very happy with my Kubota.
I’m still a John Deere guy, I worked as a road mechanic for them so I’m partial but I feel like the support and availability is a big factor for me. I believe you can add some of those features you mentioned on the Deere. Everything has global sourcing on them now so no matter what you are waiting on it to come from somewhere. Best of luck on your decision and remember at the end of the day it’s what’s best for your family and the farm and that’s what counts!
LS Brother you will no have a problem. I do love My LS. You will save in the Purchase of the Tractor 🚜 & the parts replacement. They are not so expensive line Kubota and John Deer.
I just took delivery on a new LS MT468 Tractor. The thing that tipped the scale in the LS's favor was price and standard features. For $10,000 or $15,000 less than what I would spend for a green or orange tractor, I was able to buy an LS. That difference is going to let me buy a lot of implements. In 10 or 15 years from now, the resale value of an LS vs the green or orange ones may be a big difference in the opposite direction. But for now I'm liking my LS. There were a lot of standard features about the LS that I liked. Things like 3 remote cylinder pairs in the rear, an air conditioned cab, self leveler on the front end loader, and a fuel tank that I can fill from ground level instead of making a mess trying to fill the fuel tank on the top of the hood - like the JD.
Thanks for watching, Jim! I picked up a "training seat" recently. I call them buddy seats. I will get that installed and make a video. I think it's a nice thing to have when I'm showing my dad what all the levers do.
The M-4's are incredibly popular for Kabota. You couldn't find one anywhere during the pandemic. You're lucky to have it as an option. All three are excellent , but the Deluxe Kabota will have better re-sale value than the Economy E Deer and the LS.
Well, I would for the LS. I don't have one, but this is the biggest bang for the buck. I got a New Holland TN75 with close to 4000 hours on it and it has never let me down. Sure a few little things, but I was so far always able to fix it myself.
We went with the LS MT5.73. ours is the power shuttle with the electronic clutch on the shifter, works great. We also have a B series Kubota with a hydrostat trans. Fit and finish of the Kubota is a bit finer on the Kubota, but the LS comes standard with everything. We use both of our tractors at different properties for pushing snow, both work. We installed the buddy seat in our LS MT5 and works well. We went with the LS over the Kubota for the cost savings, and all the features. Time will tell which one to go with. Only you can decide which is best for your needs and budget.
Just saw your video and your test driving was a useful way to find out what some of the differences were. I'd go LS for price and the extras it came with. Up in Canada most will use a blower to distribute snow, rather then push up banks. Keep in mind that the JD is a re-badged Mahindra. I'm in a Kioti 6620 and am happy with it.
My personal opinion. Sounds like your First year of plowing snow. Visibility, smoothness and ease of operation. Plowing takes a toll on your clutch leg and your head is mounted on a swivel depending on the situation. I didn’t notice if they were all hydrostatic or not. A lot to consider. At the end of the day it’s all about what fits you better for your wants and needs. Good luck
Yes my property is grass and gravel I put together a western on a skid plate thinking that would be the best way to go did not work as well is expected but the positive in that is I made a ski bracket for the end’s of the bucket and with as much as I have to plow it forces me to feel the ground and tilt my bucket on the fly in floating mode running my loader around 15to1700 rpm with the hand throttle doesn’t affect any of the clutch operation as far as I can tell mostly use second gear and second and third in my range selection it is my first year moving snow with Hercules so if you have any additional advice you can share it would be greatly appreciated thanks
I got a 5075 in March 2022 an its been problem free, absolutely love it! I sat in a Massey 4707 also. The 4707 had a tone of features but I wasn't interested in all that electric over hydraulics. I felt the 5075 was simpler, better quality, an it was cheaper. Them smaller front tires can be a bit rough on any gravel roads that haven't been bladed in the spring so I'm looking to get them upgraded next spring. Maybe put a air seat in it also.
To be fair, the E series is the economy line- few frills, just the basics. They definitely have the options you mentioned, at least in the more premium lines. The LS and Kubota were more premium models. I just watched a review and walk around last night from a guy who bought a 5125R for a loader tractor and mowing. He had that puppy ALL tricked out. Including all the items you mentioned- the loader view roof (with sunshade); 3rd function hydro; rear controls for both hitch AND PTO- on both sides; Buddy seat; Even lights that go on the loader arms to illuminate the bucket. Plus you can release the QA loader attachments from inside the cab! It IS pricier, no getting around that- but you're getting premium row crop tractor functionality in a utility tractor. I forget the channel, but he did the best walkaround and review I'd ever seen. Not just the what, but the why and how it fits his needs, explained clearly and concisely. I think I learned more about the 5R tractors there than from anything Deere put out. They ought to hire him to do their tractor videos, lol. I know, too late to help you with this purchase... (but there's always next time) One thing that stood out: Deere figured out a way to make these 5R tractors even more nimble: A structural oil pan. Which shortens the overall length and width. It's physically smaller than the 5M he replaced with it, and this is a 4 cylinder 125hp tractor, vs a 3 cylinder lower hp unit. The lower hp models are also like this. They aren't merely higher trim lines of the same basic unit. The LS tractor looked pretty impressive, too. I have a dealer within 5 miles of me, right next to the Deere dealer. He mostly carries the compacts and compact utilites, though. I didn't see anything that big there. I wonder if it- and the Kubota- have a modulation control somewhere to mitigate the jerky starts. I'd guess they would.
@@BissellMapleFarm There's a knob on the dashboard near the reverser to control how aggressively the reverser engages. At least that's where JD puts it. I've never sat in a Kubota or LS, so I have no idea how they do it. Pretty sure I've heard Neil Messick talk about it in his Kubota videos tho.
Im a JD guy, mysellf. But if you have had a couple of Kubotas and have had good luck out of them, why look anywhere else? Plus, you have already got an established relationship with that dealer. As far as LS,how long have they been around? How long has your local LS dealer been selling LS? Will they be there in 10-20 years from now when you need service or parts? Ask yourself the same question of the Kubota or JD.
The 5075E is now available with a "Premium Cab" version for an additional 4k'ish that includes a lot of upgrades that would cost much more if you added them later. These include sunroof, redesigned controls, third function capable mid valve, second scv installed, wider tires, loader hydraulic quick connect, air ride seat, LED lighting, headlight off delay timer, buddy seat, three point electronic position control, bluetooth radio, right hand door, rear wiper and washer, and rear window pull handle. That's a lot of stuff.
New subscriber here. Great job on this video. I have been an “all John Deere” guy most of my life. Back in 2012, we bought our first Kubota. In 2019, bought my 2nd Kubota. In 2020, the 3rd Kubota. I still feel that the John Deere’s make you feel like they sat you down in the seat at the factory and built the tractor around you. All the controls are absolutely where they feel like they should be. One of the nicest cabs in the industry. Also with the Deere’s, they have hands down the best dealership networks and parts availability. They take a back seat to no one in that regard. My decisions to go with Kubota equipment were many. The RTV 900 purchase vs. the John Deere Gator was because Deere hadn’t yet come out with power steering. They did almost immediately after we bought the Kubota. Still very pleased with the Kubota. Not a minutes worth of trouble with it and use it a lot. I think the Gator is a little nicer looking unit, but the Kubota isn’t hard to look at either. My little Kubota tractor is their economy version. A L2501. No Tier 4 Federal emissions junk on it and a very handy little tractor for what I use it for. I now have 4 loader tractors. 😊
I have the LS it also has the electronic clutch on the gear shift plus it has 3 hydrolic outlets on the rear plus it's also already set up for a third function valve to operate a grapple bucket
I’ve owned JD Series tractors 2, 3, 4HD and 5E. Based on my experience and observing how many used tractor with minimal hours show up for resale at the local dealer each spring is an accurate testament that most people buy on price over real valued features and end up with too small of tractor the next year. It sounds like most of your work will be loader, so likely will need a 520M MSL or 540M loader. In addition you want a minimum Two SCVs on the rear for any future hydraulic implements you might find come in handy. If you can justify the price JD5075M tractor with skid steer carrier, 520M MSL loader 3,600LBS lift capacity. You’ll be hurling honey till the bees come home.
We went with the Deere 5075E. It was less than the orange one. LS just doesn't have parts support good enough to support commercial use. We use ours all summer and fall doing commercial field mowing. 2000 hours and no problems so far other than a starter. Deere had one to us the next day. We would likely have been down for a week or two with the Korean brands.
Last trackor I got only trouble I am having is the electronics.i wouldn't get the electronic clutch I see nothing but trouble. Take care, be safe and well
Thanks for the video. In the market for about the same tractors. No LS here, but New Holland Workmaster 75, John Deere 5075E, and Kubota M4D-71 Deluxe. Our JD dealer equips the 5075E with the premium cab, 3rd function on the FEL and two rear unlike yours with the standard cab. The New Holland comes out least expensive, but no 3rd function on the FEL. John Deere comes out best equipped with a price in the middle. Kubota, I expect, will be priced out. Initial quote was 74k and it doesn't have the same features as the 5075E. Leaning green at the moment. We'll see.
Enjoyed your video , I’m also looking to upgrade, we’ve owned Deere brand for 40 years , still using them, I like Kubota but they have out priced themselves good luck with your choice it’s your money
John Deere is by far the best deal. If your doing and brush hogging or disking in fire breaks you will bend the steering linkage on the LS and Kubota. The deer has a much smarter and beefier set up for the axles, especially the front.
Thank you for making the comparison between the 3 brand... Currently we used Kubota LA1153 and LA524 around our ranch property here in Alice TX... but I'm looking for tractor, loader, back hoe attachment for the Philippines ranch... JD is out of the discussion since there is no dealer in the north island... recently LS came but they are only down south island and if it breaks down parts will be harder to find on the other hand Kubota has been around in the Philippines since 60s and just stone throw across the pond but I'm looking for the best bang for my dollar...we just don't have luxury of ordering parts during down time i.e. online, shipping, and technicians like we do out here in states like developing country...thanks for making this video. God bless
I think more than price should come into play here. It’s a workhorse tool so I would really take a look at lift capacity on the loader and 3pt, hydraulic flow rate (it often gets overlooked but if you’re using them everyday it makes an impact), standard equipment. Most things can be optioned but it adds up quick. 3rd function and multiple rear remotes help a lot with the larger range of available attachments.
IM am leaning more toward the LS , you are getting a lot more options for a lot less money and LS is also a new holland ,LS owns new holland and builds them but ultimitly the choice is yours and what you think you will be happy with, LS probebly has a lot more lifting capacity too , they are all good tractors but the green and orange paint cost a whole lot more.....
The LS MT573 has the electronic shift on the shifter that you liked in the Kubota. It as has a way to adjust the clutch response that you liked on the John Deere. It also allows for the same adjust on the PTO. Everything you liked in the John Deere and the Kubota was there in the LS MT573 AND then some. At a much lower price.
Local mechanic up the road from me has a Kioti. I believe it’s 60 hp full cab with bucket. He’s had it for 20 years now and pushes as well as snow blows with it commercially. Loads my syrup drums for me and hydraulics are very smooth. He has a set of forks for it as well….not attached to the bucket but to the loader. Whatever you get it should be smooth hydrostatics and hydraulics that aren’t jerky. Just my two cents 🍁 Less electronics the better….JD$ best deal. As some body already said JD has quick attachments.
We have a 47 hp new holland that works wonders for us. It is built by LS. Also not knowing how you are set implement wise, jd uses a proprietary quick attach for their buckets not the standard skid steer style. All nice equipment though so I don’t think you can go wrong.
Get a Massey Ferguson 4707 with the Dyna2 transmission. Smooth adjustable power shuttle, 70hp, uses no DEF. Two settings for 540 Pto. Can get in on both sides of the cab. Buttons on fender to raise and lower 3pt arms.
Nice video. I have the M4 with almost 500hrs and love it. I’ve ran a 5075e also. No experience with the ls. Probably can’t go wrong with any of them but those skinny front tires will be no good lifting anything heavy. Oh and obviously I’d go kubota again for many reasons😅 btw that hydro mx will probably be missed when loading skids. If keeping is an option then may be something to consider. Good luck!
I have a Kubota MX5400DT and really love it. But for $17,000 more than the LS I think I would try the LS. The button electric clutch I don’t need and more to go wrong. Grew up using a clutch and have no problem using one. And I’m going on 77 years old.
I’m a Massey Ferguson fan of the new tractors I feel they have way more options for your dollar that your spending. The new dyna 2 transmission in the 4700 series makes it way nicer plus they come with more standard compared to Deere Case IH new holland kubota and all the competitors plus they have the really nice trailberg radial tires standard on them too. And we’ve had really good luck out of them the last couple of years
I have bought and sold a lot of Massey 135's. That's my only experience with Massey. The 135 and 165. The Perkins sip fuel and run all day. That 135 wasn't much bigger than an 8N, 2N or 9N... but it was a 45hp diesel. Lots of power on that frame. I don't have a AGCO dealership near me that I know of. Well, Mercer PA has one. I just didn't think about it.
I have a JD, but looking at just these 3 models, I'm thinking the LS is what I'd go with based on this limited information. In part based on price,... to me, the electronic clutch on Kubota does sound nice, but seems like another electronic thing that can go wrong.
Sound strategy, exect electronics are are strong suite for the Japanese, but your not the first to over think a decision and subsequently make the wrong one.. me ? The math is pretty simple and straightforward….Kubota
I just got a 5075e and absolutely love it. I added the rights side door kit and a buddy seat, dealer installed for $1,500. That’s still thousands less then the Kubota.
I left the farm in 1985, the bank said I was done, which 1 is the easiest for you to work on & which 1 can you get parts & repair for & how long do you have to wait for dealer service, that’s what I’d worry about is getting back in the field when it broke. It’s going to break just how long to get back in the field.
Ls is the best bang for your money hands down I have the same model your are looking at and we have 700 hours on are now and it Ben a good tractor. And you can get a buddy seat for that Ls tractor
I’ve had the 5075e Deere and now have the m4 the front tires being so skinny on the Deere with loader work is awful the big tires on the m4 are awesome
I’m on a small vegetable farm and some Rowcrop we have about 20 tractors, Kabota’s, Ford, John Deere, and case I H case my Kabota’s never went back to the dealership since new summer 20 years old. I also have good luck with the case I H never head back to the dealership for service . The John Deere’s are the most like driven tractors we have, but I have more service calls with them.
That is interesting. Not surprising though. The Japanese are the standard when it comes to quality and resale. Toyota and Honda prove that. But people do pay more for green paint. And like every corporation that puts dividends over quality.... It's when the bean counters take over. It's a cycle.
The difference in price of the LS vs Kubota is staggering. 17K!! Heck, for 17K, you could buy another compact utility tractor with a loader!! My point being, the Kubota might be slightly more refined than the LS, but is it 17K more refined??? I went through this same thing and I just bought an LS MT357. I run a sawmill operation with mine, and so far I absolutely love it, I have 200 hours on it now. The cab is quiet, heat and AC work fantastic, fit and finish is great, and it's a powerhouse. I also have great dealer support, so honestly, what more could I want?? For me, when I compared prices with other brands, the money I saved by buying the LS allowed me to spend that much more on other things, like implements and other accessories. I have a feeling that someday in the near future, LS tractors won't be as affordable once the market is saturated with them.. but since they are still fairly new on the block, I say take advantage of the low price while you can! I live in Southern Illinois, and since the LS dealership showed up several years ago, my entire area has been steadily turning from orange and green to blue!! Good luck in your choice!
I think that you are a Kubota person and will go that way just as I am a JD person but simply on bang for your buck that LS is quite a tractor. We certainly pay for our paint colors.
Personally I’ve always had such great luck with the kubotas i couldn’t buy something else. I have the M6 141 and it is an awesome tractor. Never had any down time or any issues. Also have an l4701 which is a great tractor and a b2320 which has 2000 hours and never had anything ever done to it. I’ve heard some people around my area with LS having a lot of breakdowns, all under warranty but still is no fun paying for a tractor to be at the shop. One thing i personally don’t like about the John Deere is their quick attach for their bucket isn’t a ssqa, which is a turn off for me personally, other than that i don’t have anything bad to say about JD.
I had a kubota m4d-071 and was not real happy with the air or hydraulics, have a 5100e deere now it operates much better, the kubota reverser is on or off no adjustment to it, the deere is electric over hydraulic also but uses a Modulating valve to engage the clutch which allows the tractor to start out smoothly and can also be adjusted by the dealer to meet your need if you like it smooth or more aggressive
Be very careful if you buy a Kubota and intend to keep,it for a long time. I’ve already have them quit supplying 2 parts on my L3650. John Deere won’t do that, they will charge you an arm & a leg, but you’ll be able to get the part! The L3650 is a good tractor, but when I went looking for a new one, I bought a John Deere because of parts availability.
Great overview of the three competitors and models. All have their pros and cons but comes down to what suits your needs, local service then price. What was your final decision? I ask because I am deciding on upgrading from a Case IH DX 40 and also own Kubota L2501 that has been indispensable but need something with more power and with a cab. Keeping the Kubota BTW.
The TYM 474 tractor I bought had a couple of issues the HST shifter is almost impossible to shift and when I got the Grapple all the hoses were loose and now I need the tractor for the winter it has a fuel problem, I put the winter anti gel and conditioner in the tank & storage tank before the Winter and now when Full throttle it starts to go down to an idle and almost stalling and the a couple of seconds it goes back up to full throttle all filters and screens were changed and noting was put in the tank otherwise it would had caught by the screen in the fill line . I don’t know what it could be and I can’t get it to a dealer and I’m handicapped with my knee and the dealer up by me giving me a hard time because I didn’t buy the tractor from him ,
Was told that case, and new holland ( all built overseas) not sure about Deere but think maybe the small ones are also, are extremely hard to get parts for. This came from a parts manager (case ih)no LS dealer in Nebraska. Went with kubota because of dealer networks in the area. Haven’t delivered tractor yet, so I don’t know what I have yet. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I would get the . Ls my self most trackor for the money. John Deere would be second. I have rented a kubota backhoe it was under powered way to light and you could not use the brakes to turn the trackor. I don't like sunroofs over time most will leak. Electronic area pain
I wish they did a small utility tractor with plenty of horses with a wider stance, my land is steep as and it just feels like one of these would topple over.
You aren't wrong. I have always thought the same. But the rims can be flipped for a wider stance. That I do know. They look tougher with a wider stance, too.
@@BissellMapleFarm Yes I was told you could also add fluid when inflating the tyres, I’d like more horses for getting the most out of a decent mulcher but I doubt this size tractor could keep up tbh.
That Deere is more comparable to your mx . It physically looked smaller than the other two. A comparable Deere would be $70,000+ pushing $80 I bet. Wouldn't hurt to see what m&h ( Deere dealer) could do for a price on the Kubota.
The one question I had , do they all have power shuttles which do not require you to clutch when changing directions? Do any of the brands have a continuous flow rear remote. One remote on the John Deere seems inadequate for that size of tractor. The Deere would have the best parts networking system.
@@BissellMapleFarm The Kubota does have the power shuttle which is very nice I have owned the m4d-071 for 2 years now and really like it So far so good and I do use the 8 foot hla2500 snow pusher on it. I looked at the 5075e first but didn't like the narrow front tires on it and it was an option if you wanted to open the right hand door. The Kubota had the wider front tires like my Ferguson had which I thought was much better for loader work. I really like the button on the side of shifter for shifting between gears without using the clutch.
That would be a tough choice to make. For me, I would shy away from the LS tractor. I am sure they are good tractors, but what if in a few years they just haven’t been able to keep up with the big dogs, John Deere and Kubota? Getting parts and service may not only be problematic. It may not even be possible. For me, it would be a price point issue and I would go with the Deere because of the deluxe cab and the comfort the tractor offers. I would be happy to own any one of the three, but if it were my choice, it would be the Deere.
I have a Land Trac 280 dtc, the original LS, over 20 yrs old and still buying parts, no problems so far. 20 plus years makes me pretty confident. 👍🏻 planning on buying an MT357.
@@staceydyson7929 , after making my comment, I did some more research. Turns out, LS is owned by LG. They are not some fly by night company that will be here today but not tomorrow. They most certainly are a force to be reckoned with. Kubota and John Deere best be watching over their shoulders. LS is offering very deluxe tractors well below the price points of both Deere and Kubota. This will be a game changer in the small tractor market.
Like the Deere , however the one door would bother me especially if u ever tipped over I would want out ! And I think they still don’t have the heated windows in cab for snow work , other than that I’d pick the Deere!
The LS is available in a power shuttle like the Kubota. I’m not sure why a dealer would even stock the standard shuttle. There is not a huge price difference. The power shuttle is a much smoother and easy to use transmission.
Cold weather is what I understand. Not sure if that is a thing. But it is what I was told. In colder climates the shower shuttle struggles. I'm just the messenger here.
@@BissellMapleFarm if I’m remembering correctly 50 hp and up is Case/New Holland built. They offer a pretty nice cvt transmission that is very smooth. Worth checking when spending that much money.
I think all three tractors are good tractors but from my experience and running my tractors 14 hours a day seven days a week for five months I work my equipment hard and I can’t afford breakdowns and if something breaks I have to have it fixed within 24 hours so for me dealer support And parts availability is the most important, I don’t know much about LS? John Deere and Kubota are good tractors I’ve had both my thoughts are John Deere is a heavier tractor I feel more quality in small details and stronger heavier components, but Kabota tractor is still an excellent choice and at least with Kubota you will have parts availability, John Deere I feel is the best for parts availability I can sometimes even get parts at Napa auto parts for John Deere any regards to LS if you have a local dealer close to you and you’re in good with them and there’s parts available quickly that would still maybe be a good option🚜🇺🇸
We are respectful with the camera and people's privacy. We ask if they would like to be on camera to help with the video. The salesman show us what they know, and we try to remember everything. There's a lot to remember. That's funny, though.

they are buying junk if it is orange
I went tractor shopping and decided on the LS. Biggest bang for the buck and the dealer was very willing to add on exactly what I wanted.
I have the LS MT342. Got so much more for my money. Love the cab. Have 3 friends 1 with a 4 series and 2 with the 573. They all love their tractors. The fact that you have a dealer close that you trust is also a big factor.
Thanks for stopping by the channel! I can't wait to use the tractor! It is going to be so fun!
I also got the mt342 i didnt get the cab tho kinda regretted it

I know exactly what an overachieving grapple can do!! That's funny!
Thanks for watching, David! Thanks for sharing your experience!
5 years is nothing for a tractor. Still have a 1985 international harvester 584 with 3600+ hrs working the hay fields all summer.
Just bought a new LS cab model, had a Kubota. Love the tractor!
I purchased the M4D-071 it didn’t have the radio I told the dealer I’m spending enough money with you, install a radio for free. No arguments I am very happy with my Kubota.
Sweet!
I am a Case IH Maxxum guy. Just pick a color and take care of whatever you buy.
Why i like the old ones. I try and pick em scrap price. Love it.
Smart choice have fun
John Deere all day long ,great financial and can get insurance through them and best resale value and paint does t fade. !!!!
The M-4's are incredibly popular for Kabota. You couldn't find one anywhere during the pandemic. You're lucky to have it as an option. All three are excellent , but the Deluxe Kabota will have better re-sale value than the Economy E Deer and the LS.
Over 30 years of Ford/New Holland and no issues at all ! Hard to leave the color Blue.
My grandfather had a Ford 4000 orchard edition. I wish that I had that tractor....
Well, I would for the LS.
I don't have one, but this is the biggest bang for the buck.
I got a New Holland TN75 with close to 4000 hours on it and it has never let me down. Sure a few little things, but I was so far always able to fix it myself.
LS makes a good tractor. We have the Xp8101
Have a 5075e. Reliable, good power, and cab quite. The new ones are even better.
Thanks for watching. I did not know Mahindra made John Deere tractors.
Mahindra doesn’t make JD tractors. Tractor time with Tim does a good video on this. 👍
@@jessegooch9473 I think they make the 5075.
@@bullrambler nope definitely don’t.
Nobody except Deere makes Deere tractors. simple as that
The Ls is the way the to go!! Bought a 45 Horse and I’ve had it for 3 years no problems with it at all. You get your money worth with a ls.
Good luck
This is great info.
(but there's always next time)
One thing that stood out: Deere figured out a way to make these 5R tractors even more nimble: A structural oil pan.
What a good comment! Thank you. Good information here. I am wondering about this modulation you are talking about...
mbarber84 is the channel. I looked it up, because it was bugging me, lol.
That is a lot stuff!
Thanks for watching. I will check out your channel, too. I tried to compare models that were similar in size.
I think the LS is a good deal for average person playing farmer or home stead
But the bigger is for sure the best option 😊
I'm with you, Phil.
I looked at a 5075E in 4wd. I opted for the premium cab. Got it all for an amazing deal at my local dealer.
I have the LS it also has the electronic clutch on the gear shift plus it has 3 hydrolic outlets on the rear plus it's also already set up for a third function valve to operate a grapple bucket
Kubota all day long. Well worth the extra money. Those nee john deeres don't even sound like john deere motors anymore. Probably had a yanmar
Love this comment. Thanks for watching our little channel.
I have the 5065E 2018 great tractor. 👍
Last trackor I got only trouble I am having is the electronics.i wouldn't get the electronic clutch I see nothing but trouble. Take care, be safe and well
I have heard the same thing about the electronic clutch. They don't do as well in colder climates.
LS hands down, I have a boomer LS 30 and its great, you can’t beat the quality and price
John Deere is by far the best deal. If your doing and brush hogging or disking in fire breaks you will bend the steering linkage on the LS and Kubota. The deer has a much smarter and beefier set up for the axles, especially the front.
I did not know this
I was just looking back here at your channel and saw this video has done really well in the long run! That's awesome!
It has! It is the video I wish I could find. That was my thought process...
@Bissell Maple Farm that's an excellent approach. I've had that motivate a few of my videos too. It just hasn't worked as well for me 😅
Thank you for making the comparison between the 3 brand...
This is all true. I didn't look at that stuff. You're right. I looked at loader capacity mostly. I'll be honest.
I have jd 5090r I ĺove it I also have Massey 5s 145 I love it
The LS MT573 has the electronic shift on the shifter that you liked in the Kubota. It as has a way to adjust the clutch response that you liked on the John Deere. It also allows for the same adjust on the PTO. Everything you liked in the John Deere and the Kubota was there in the LS MT573 AND then some. At a much lower price.
I did not know that.
Yes! Facts!
I am gonna miss yall using the concrete drum for counter balance
We probably will still need it! Ha!
We have a 47 hp new holland that works wonders for us. It is built by LS. Also not knowing how you are set implement wise, jd uses a proprietary quick attach for their buckets not the standard skid steer style. All nice equipment though so I don’t think you can go wrong.
I did not know JD doesn't have a standard skidsteer attachment.
You can get jd, skid steer, or global style quick attach.
Good luck!
Thanks for watching! I do like the hydro for loader work! How did you find us, Blake?
@@BissellMapleFarm oh just stumbled across your video and thought it was interesting. I saw you chose the LS. Congrats!
Oh! And for sure GET AN AIR RIDE SEAT!!!
I have a Kubota MX5400DT and really love it. But for $17,000 more than the LS I think I would try the LS. The button electric clutch I don’t need and more to go wrong. Grew up using a clutch and have no problem using one. And I’m going on 77 years old.
I love this!
I have a JD 5075 2WD for 1 yr. No issues at all. My only gripe is having engine screaming at 2100 rpm to run my shredder or make round bales
I like the 5075e a lot. It is a good deal
Did the same thing - I own a great JD - but went blue this time. It was a 20 grand difference.
Thanks for stopping by, Dave!
I left the farm in 1985, the bank said I was done, which 1 is the easiest for you to work on & which 1 can you get parts & repair for & how long do you have to wait for dealer service, that’s what I’d worry about is getting back in the field when it broke. It’s going to break just how long to get back in the field.
True
I wish you luck with that blue tractor I’m afraid your gonna need it
Just saw your video today. Im looking for a 70hp tractor, Im leaning towards the LS. What did you end up with??
Keep watching, David! It's a pretty good run! Enjoy the channel!
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEOOOOO
Me too!!!!
Buddy! Perfect for a maple farmer.
That's an interesting point. I almost want duals on the front for loader work so it doesn't sink....
The LS tractor would be the choice!
Facts!
I noticed how smooth the JD started out.
It's a shame there isn't a TYM dealer in your area. The TYM T754 would have been a good contender.
You're right, Roger. It is a shame.
Wow. That's a relatively newer tractor, too.
Ken, I don't want to spoil it for you. That episode is pretty funny. Episode #96.
I don’t know what it could be and I can’t get it to a dealer and I’m handicapped with my knee and the dealer up by me giving me a hard time because I didn’t buy the tractor from him ,
Dang! Get the dealer there! Did you buy it used or from another dealer?
@@BissellMapleFarm the tractor was new & only has 73 hrs on it!
@@peterbrunetto8062 did you buy it from a dealer or individual?
JD all the way.
Orange or Green will serve you well.
JD front are tires so tiny ! Kubota front tires are so sick !
@@MrFarmer2345 I tend to lean toward the strongest dealers. Our dealer is strong.
No idea, man. I think it comes with different options. I know the tractor I bought I have to push the clutch.
The John dear that you looked at is not the model that competes with the Kabota. You were looking at the John dear 5075E not the 5075 R or the 5075M.
I had no idea. That's what they had in the size I was looking at. Is the 5075R bigger?
@@BissellMapleFarm The M is most of everything you wanted that the Kubota had. The R is ridiculously expensive.
I’m sure the price will be a lot more. But did you check the R series on that same John Deere. Good luck with your purchase. 😊
I would go with the LS I looked at one when I bought my Branson and I wish I would have got the
The LS is available in a power shuttle like the Kubota.
I'm in the same situation trying to figure out those exact 3 plus Mahindra
A tie goes to the dealer.
sounds like the ls tractor is way to go . check out parts times for break down.
times.
I would buy a skidster...
You aren't wrong... snowplowing and log moving is probably better with a skidsteer.
It’s true. Far more lifting capability
If snow removal and log lifting are the primary jobs, this may be the smartest move.
@@ericpark8956 can't put a buddy seat in a skidsteer!!
I think that the kabota will give you better reliability but if you have a good parts department or service department it really doesn't matter
I get the blue in the New Holland badging. Same tractor better parts and support. Similar pricing.
As I understand it, LS does not make every model. I cannot remember if it was gear drive or hydro up to 50HP. Do you know?
@@BissellMapleFarm if I’m remembering correctly 50 hp and up is Case/New Holland built. They offer a pretty nice cvt transmission that is very smooth. Worth checking when spending that much money.
I think all three tractors are good tractors but from my experience and running my tractors 14 hours a day seven days a week for five months I work my equipment hard and I can’t afford breakdowns and if something breaks I have to have it fixed within 24 hours so for me dealer support And parts availability is the most important, I don’t know much about LS? John Deere and Kubota are good tractors I’ve had both my thoughts are John Deere is a heavier tractor I feel more quality in small details and stronger heavier components, but Kabota tractor is still an excellent choice and at least with Kubota you will have parts availability, John Deere I feel is the best for parts availability I can sometimes even get parts at Napa auto parts for John Deere any regards to LS if you have a local dealer close to you and you’re in good with them and there’s parts available quickly that would still maybe be a good option🚜🇺🇸
you guys break in to these places when they was closed No salesman no one telling you what things do not do a very good comparison
We are respectful with the camera and people's privacy. We ask if they would like to be on camera to help with the video. The salesman show us what they know, and we try to remember everything. There's a lot to remember.
That's funny, though.
Anything I’ve heard about LS is they have electrical problems.
Yanmar has theme all beat. It would be nice if they had a lemon law for tractors. Then i might use a LS.
Yanmar is a good tractor. My dad has one for around his house. Great engines
Go with the Deere or Kubota, own both and are both great tractors, John Deere you can get the right side door handle and have both doors to open
Good to know about that door. I started thinking it was probably an option.
New for 2023 JD has both doors for premium cab
I would have to sell one of the kids to get a Kubota
Lol. It still wouldn't be enough.
