США
Добавлен 23 окт 2014
We are maple syrup farmers in Northeast Ohio. We cut firewood, mill lumber and harvest maple syrup! We partner with maple farmers across the maple belt. We make maple syrup, we bottle maple syrup - we have the greatest job in the world! Innovation and relationships has been key to our success and is the key to our future. We are not afraid to look at ourselves when it comes to finding the solution to the problem!
We utilize outdoor power equipment: tractors, chainsaws, UTV's, and much more. We go on adventures all over - meeting and working with maple syrup farmers and suppliers across the maple belt.
Maple Syrup was never the goal, it is the glue!

Nate, Thanks for these videos. This was the pump out i was asking about the other day on that other video. Hes doing what I was contemplating doing minus the releaser. I have a potential woods with about 600 taps that I have no way of trailering in or out. I have to pump it 800 feet with an elevation difference of about 80 feet. The 12v deep well pump hes using was was I was looking for confirmation on.
There is a link to the pump in the description.
Was at our dealer last year. He had a rookie evaporator from H2O at his shop, as a tradesmen couldn’t believe the poor quality of the welds. Worse welds I’ve ever seen. So H20 is in Quebec, they are heavily subsidized by the government for trades. We being in another province get all our pipe spools built in Quebec because we can’t compete with there price because of subsidies.
There is always an option....
Good work out of you Bissell! From a "new to the industry" farmer!
@samwebster1266 Thanks for watching! How did you find our little channel?
@@BissellMapleFarm Pretty sure it came up in the recommendations, I've been doing a fair amount of searches over the last few years! Flagging mainlines this Wednesday for the first time EVER!! Wish me luck!!
@samwebster1266 make sure you get one of those yellow sight thingy's. They work! Make sure you get slope. Man, that is the biggest mistake we make in the Midwest. We don't get enough slope! Sap should always be traveling away from the tap hole. If it doesn't... it can back up and cause the tap hole to heal. This is the name of the game, my friend.
I was told one time. If you are the smartest person person in the room, you're in the wrong room.
Another great video Nate, some good points there on the maple industry. That’s why I started my channel, to help maple producers get better at making more and better syrup.

Are these a weekly thing
@richardkemp4196 Sapchat is a weekly thing, yes. I am not sure I will be able to get Tim every week. Ha! Maybe once a month. And with that a spin-off of "Time with Tim" at say 8pm on Sunday's. What do you think about that idea?
Ben Shepard cdl dealer in Bristol VT. Great guy to work with and very knowledgeable in the sugaring business
I just had new hoods, pre-heater, and pan set for a 3x10 vortex made by Leader in swanton this past summer. Maybe they are moving things north slowly, but when I was there a couple weeks ago they were still fabricating all things Leader in their swanton location. The craftsmanship of my new setup is second to none.

Thanks Nate for sharing so much information and talking to so many different people and introducing us to products. I'm about to start my first sugaring season with a 2x4 divided flat pan from Smokey Lake and a RB25 from the RO Bucket and heard about them through you!

Looking forward to McCarthy and you tonight.

Nate, I am a small sugar maker in western Kentucky. I would love to be able to talk to Don about the 12v pump setup that he briefly talked about. It's a good man to recognize he has a valuable wife. I am way blessed.
I recently bought her a Tesla. We never spend money on vehicles. I sold her Honda Pilot EXL to buy our first forklift. Then she drove a $3500 minivan... and then a $3000 2004 Toyota Sienna. Raised our boys... they are like hauling Livestock.... but she deserves a good car. One that will drive her around. Very cool technology. I will make some videos on it.

@patbarker8853 Thank you for watching, Barker's! I do appreciate it when people reach out. This has been an interesting social experiment. Far more valuable than I ever expected. To viewers and in the relationships we've built.
I like Nate's content. The sapmaster Snapchat informative. Did it promote them.... maybe. Did it try to sell them.... fine line. As producers, we need information on new products. Christmas Service, you messed up.
@BlackOwlMapleProducts Of course, I messed up. A lot. My wife is the secret to everything. A lot of men aren't able to take risks or chase a dream. Their spouse won't allow it. I married the right woman for me. I need to improve as a husband, that's for sure.
That was great! Very relatable!
