@@KingKull1971 I mean yeah, they kinda all drive the modern sound. With all the digitalised stuff nowadays I highly doubt that they sound anything like peope from 30 years ago. It is groundbreaking in its own way, it never stops evolving, even if what's mainstream is more simple than it used to be.
@johnlemon874 The truth is, it does sound like 35 years ago. All the digital sounds were produced off of those original recordings. The digital replicates those sounds, and todays so-called artists use those same sounds to this very day. I actually think in many respects, there's been a devolution because of it. Hip Hop is a prime example of this devolution. Rock has devolved as well in this regard. The innovations that artists such as Hendrix, Van Halen, Malmsteen, and many others brought to the table have simply flat-lined. We have more imitators than innovators. Polyphia may be one of the few bands that's doing anything original these days. So, there's still hope.
Kingfish is certainly one of the best bluesmen going right now. Awesome.

Just got Kingfish's LIVE IN LONDON on vinyl and this record is on the turntable and is going nowhere - but round & round and round! Kingfish and his band can do it all - blues, funk, jazz, soul, fast, slow, gentle, and hard. They play with passion, energy, and joy. This is one wonderful record.
I would love to see Kingfish share the stage with Gary Clark JR. what a performance that would be. Two great blues players with amazing vocals..

I’ve had the pure pleasure of catching Kingfish twice at the Parker in Fort Lauderdale. ( Please come back again!) He just keeps on getting better and better. Solos on this song are some of his best!! Band is fantastic and so are his vocals. He’s a virtuoso at traditional blues but when he gets into this funky hard driving stuff, this is where he truly shines!
