BAND-MAID are not just another Rock band. They are a unique, diverse, unselfish, powerful, dynamic, inspirational, prolific, gorgeous, catchy, infectious, AWESOME and FUN band. You are well on your way down the pigeon hole. Peace.
I first diver B-M while researching kayaks of all things on youtube . In my youtube suggestion I saw Band Maid almost greatest hits compilation . I clicked on it and then came Freezer , The vocalist had me . After that I had to see what they were about .. That was 2019 right before the bottom dropped out .
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, SkiBuff!
That happens to everyone (last song you heard of BM is your favorite song) - my theory is that there is a cumulative inner understanding that happens over time, where with each listen, you realize the full extent of their awesomeness.
Every Band-Maid song you listen to will become your favorite until the next one. I second "Play" live as a suggestion. It was the first one I saw which popped up as a RUclips suggestion in my side bar back in Dec. 2021.
Pigeon hole.. :) You won't get sick of Band maid... Ever.. But for a change in your Band maid journey.. Watch this video.. This is how you start a concert.. Lovebites "THUNDER VENGEANCE" Live.. Yep Onset is your favorite Band-Maid song until you hear "Play" Live =) Play was written as an instrumental but it does have some singing ! Check it out - ✌🤘Great Reaction
Sorry Barry, I know how much you love Play, but Onset is still my total favorite song from the ladies at this stage of my time in the fandom. However as you already know I still have not heard the majority of the catalog.
Buffalo , there aren't any Rabbits in BAND-MAID , Miku Kobato(aka) Small Pigeon , Band founder , Red Rose in hair , Rhythm guitar , 2nd vocals n Lyrics , Kanami Tono (aka) Mincho/shorty , Lead guitar / Shredder , writes n arranges music , Akane Hirose (aka) Gorilla on Drums , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! (aka) the Barefoot Bass Assassin on Bass , Saiki Atsumi (aka) Ice Queen / Sensei , Blue Rose in hair , Lead vocals , so with BAND-MAID its down the Pigeon Hole , enjoy the journey .

Yes indeed, Band-Maid "is " a genre , these 5 goddesses operate on another level No band on the planet like Band-Maid and they have the best fans on the planet...
@@baddhorsie8318 Not biased, just right. There are the odd one or two not so nice people but the vast majority are great....Well we are anyway, i can't vouch for everyone.😆
They do a song called, " Play, " that was an instrumental but the lead singer Saiki, liked the music so much she asked Miku to write lyrics for it. I've seen & heard 3 or 4 live versions of the song & each time it had a different intro..........it's Killer, know you'll love it !! ❤😎👌
This particular concert at Zepp, Tokyo was a fantastic mix.....much better, IMHO, than the Shibuya FEB 14th 2020 concert. "My favorite Band-Maid song"....LOL!!! yeah until you hear the next song.... Good Stuff "Skip"!
As others have said, your next reaction to these ladies should be 'Play' live. Originally written as an instrumental Saiki loved it so much she asked Miku to write lyrics for it so she could join in the fun.
The question 'Why haven't I heard of these ladies before?' is probably something many people ask themselves after they have made their acquaintance with them. And this question is absolutely justified. The fact that talent like this doesn't have millions of followers compared to so many wannabe artists out there is an absolute tragedy and impertinence in my view. Nice observation that you can recognize their influences, but in the end they don't just copy them, but add them to their own style and their very own sound results from that. And just the remark that you can hear a bit of 'John Bonham' in Akane's drum-play probably put a big smile on many of our faces. Some years ago, a certain Jimmy Page visited a concert of these ladies and was so impressed by her that he wanted to meet her after the concert. At first, she thought it was a prank. Well, a prank, of which there is a nice photo if you type the two names together into Google. When someone like Mr. Page thinks you're good, I don't think much more needs to be said, right? :) _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- from *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Welcome to the beautifull world of the Maidiacs. FYI- Because of the name of Miku (Red Fower) Kabato, Kabato=Small Pigeon in Japanese, hence going down the 'Pigeon Hole' phrase. Loved the reaction again.
Mate! Greetings from Shizuoka on a rainy day when one cannot see Mount Fuji looking after us all! You finally got to listen to Onset! I humbly consider it as their first masterpiece in their history. To think it was played 4 years ago! Actually, for me it was the time when Miku came of age and put all her detractors ( a long story I would not mind telling you about!) into their place under a lid they would never be able to lift again! It being only played only during live concerts it is the more endearing for one tiny mistake by Kanami which proved she is such a lovable humble genius! Actually she has come with another instrumental for live concerts called Don't be Long. Try and find the live video in Dallas for that particular one! Moratorium is another song where her solo is absolutely bonkers especially the one fan cam in Hamburg! Now, everybody knows she is already composing another one instrumental to be played in their coming US Tour! As many fans commented Play is also a must, especially the version when Miku is venturing in some personal exchanges with Misa! But arguably the most stunning solo by Kanami is during the official video of Daydreaming! Plenty of work for you, mate! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
In an interview, the interviewer stated that Band Maid is the only Japanese band that does instrumental music. Had to think about that. I have not seen/heard any other band do an instrumental. Saki released an instrumental, "Brightness" but its a solo. I found Band Maid through Blackpink.
"How have I not heard about this band?" Exactly. They've been around over 9 years at the time this video came out and for some reason the reactors are all diving down the Band-Maid rabbit hole. Imagine if Led Zeppelin or Rush had been banging around in bars and small venues for 9 years, already had 8 albums released but no one knew who they were? And then their videos appear on RUclips, get millions of views, and their YT channel suddenly goes over a half million subscribers. I swear Band-Maid is about to explode. I "discovered" Band-Maid about the time the 'Onset' video was released. I started listening to more and more of their videos and now I am totally hooked on this band and their music. I get the "I hear Jon Bonham... ...a little Rush" vibe. Band-Maid bends and blends multiple rock genres the same way Led Zep and Rush used to. Jimmy Page has seen Band-Maid and went back stage to get his picture taken with their drummer, Akane Hirose. I now have their 4 latest albums with a 5th in shipment and a concert Blu-ray. When I play their albums I never FF past a song: they're all that good. You are right about needing to listen to their songs multiple times: their compositions are complex and addictive.
Nailed it! SOOO much of what you said in this reaction is sooo on-point. Just replay this video in a month or so and you'll be nodding your head, agreeing whole-heartedly...with you. You're doin' great, man! Keep up the great work and thank you! 🕊
Hey brother, I am Jeff co-host of The MCU'S Bleeding Edge RUclips channel/ Podcast, I just wanted to give you props, I enjoyed your reaction to Onset, and it's really cool to be able to say hello to another Band Maid fan. BandMaid is the most undercover band. They deserve so much more recognition than they get. Hopefully they get some great press from their US tour.
