Video is from their Jan. 9th streaming concert now on DVD/Blu-ray set to be released April 26th. I've got it pre-ordered. Band-Maid brings smiles don't they.
@@lurkmerchant I can't recall the jacket I was wearing...My brain is shot....Either grey with "STAY CALM and LISTEN To BAND-MAID Po!" on the back....or black with "BAND-MAID "Our Rock Never Dies Ever...Forever!" on the back...Not sure if I was wearing the matching BB Cap..grey had "MINCHO!!" on it..and the black.."Akane "I Am Gorilla".😊
Welcome back! Band Maid does have another new song with video, partially live, Memorable that they wrote during last year’s tour. I got to see them and the concert was so great. They are doing US South Eastern tour in April, their floor tickets tend to be $30, so if they are coming near you it doesn’t have to be super expensive. Hope you also find some other bands that give you energy, but I also just love Band Maid myself. I found them just watching reaction videos, and fell in love!
Kanami works so hard in this song she never stops moving from one phrase to another. The lyrics are about a women who is seeing a married man and realising she will never be the number 1 in his life.
@@tasminoben686 Happy Easter to you Ben, my awesome German Maidiac friend. I haven't received any eggs yet, not even from Xagor but he does like cakes so he probably ate my egg stuffed full of chocolate treats.😔
Hey SBR, it's great to see you on here again. The Maids have a few new ones that you haven't done reactions yet. If you are looking for some new good rock bands, you might try Trident, Nemophila, DIH (initials rather than a word, Korean Rock), Fate Gear, Lovebites, Rolling Quartz, and I could probably think of a bunch more. I hope we get to see you back on here more often. Take care and have a great night.
This is the song that best describes Bandmaid as a progressive punk band. Some of the members (probably Akane) definitely have punk rock in their backbone.
The majority of stuff I have listened to over the last couple of years has been Japanese, so it's probably somewhat square into the box you want to break out of. I have mainly listened to a lot of tricot the last half a year or so, but I know you have already done a couple reactions to them and know them way longer than I do. Some other bands in that genre I have checked out - Toe - Paranoid Void - Sokoninaru (you have checked them out as well) - Jyocho I can name a bunch of other rock/metal bands in that Asian box, but that probably won't do much good. But I have also been checking out some Japanese Jazz or Jazz Fusion since I have been listening to Senri Kawaguchi before I even knew about this rock scene. She formed a band with 7 other great female Japanese Jazz musicians and I have been checking out their individual stuff as well. Her are some of my favourites. - The Jazz Avengers - Senri Kawaguchi - Drummer: solo (jazz/fusion), Kiyo*Sen (fusion) and 坐音 ZAON (fusion with traditional Japanese instruments) - Juna Serita - Bassist: solo (funk), Muses (fusion) and Addone (blues) - Miku Yonezawa - Tenor Sax: solo (jazz/fusion) - Ami Nakazono - Soprano Sax: solo (jazz) And to stay in that Jazz realm I can recommend Snarky Puppy as well. One of the other bands I really like (for over 20 years now) are finally going to come back with an album after more than 10 years of downtime. They are a Finnish neofolk band called Tenhi. Their music tends to be chill though, so I don't know if they are necessarily the best reaction material, but I can't help to at least mention them.
Well, if you're up to it, after Band-Maid, easily one of my favorite bands have been Banshimoku. It's not jmetal; it's punk and they do some indie rock as well. The lead singer has a very distinct voice. They're new but actually released two full albums last year. If you're interested here are a couple tracks to consider: Mazuutaguttekakare (their most popular music video, very punk) ruclips.net/video/IMpawHpYGJ8/видео.html Killer, Muddy Green (very punk) ruclips.net/video/zXCwf6uvuZU/видео.html 1989 (a much softer, indie song. A personal favorite): ruclips.net/video/YdcxfROJzwU/видео.html
Glad you are back safe and sound. Everyone needs a break now and then so no need to apologize, we have all been there. Great reaction to Band-Maid's Puzzle, as always. Keep up the good work.
Great song to come back to. "Puzzle" is still one of my top songs from them. If you want to check out other bands, there's SAIESEGA, Unlucky Morpheus, Asterism, Mardelas. If you really want to branch out, check out non-Japanese rock like Messgram, Synsnake, DIH, The Fix all from South Korea. Yes, they do have rock in SK besides Kpop. Lastly, there are a few Chinese/Hong Kong/Taiwan based rockers like Fiester, Inchaos, and Instinct of Sight. So, there's a lot of good music to explore besides Jrock/Jmetal.
FINALLY! So many years overdue. This will help build the fanbase even further! To Band-Maid and management: Thank you for the release of Puzzle, and please don't forget all the other wonderful live performances, songs and responses from JBI and WD at ZEPP and Studio Coast. The Garden and Shibuya performances are great, too! 🤘🎀🤘 And thank you SkiBuff, for covering another Band-Maid masterpiece!
Not sure where you are, but they are back in May and in August. May dates are on their website, Aug haven't been announced yet. I am seeing them in Atlanta in May, 2 days after The Warning at the same arena!
Thanks for your reaction. It is interesting to see reactors taking on the entire musical journey and dive into the pigeon hole. My journey woth Band Maid started with Manners. :) As a thanks I leave you a suggestion, the band Scandal, A.M.D.K.J, there is an official MV, and some live content should be available as well though I can’t ensure it’s quality. Have fun! :)
Have you seen the individual documentaries for each band member? Released about 2 months ago. Start with this one: BAND-MAID Documentary / MISA ruclips.net/video/EwBQPj6TabY/видео.html
I found a Canandian band called Crown Lands recently with a very modest following. It's just two guys, but they do some serious multi-tasking. I listened to a live stream they did and immediately bought the album. They just dropped a few tracks a couple of days ago. This track is short, but gives a good idea of what they're doing: ruclips.net/video/nhBuDIgC8Dg/видео.html I've liked everything I've heard from them so far.
Great to see you back again! Some recommendation based on uniqueness and originality IMO. 1. Hanabie - Like Bandmaid, they write all music and lyrics. 2. Zutomayo - The leader of the band writes all music and lyrics. Like Bandmaid, difficult to find a bad song from their catelogue.
Nice to see you back again with these amazing musicians / ladies. On a side note if I may. I always find a humorous that people have to announce to everybody on RUclips. And other places on social media. That they pre-ordered something or they got something or they're getting something. It's like the always annoying kid in class when we were in grammar school. Who has his hand up for every question. And wouldn't let anyone else in the class attempt to answer the teacher. You know, making it all about themselves. Which unfortunately many of these fans of this group do. That's my only problem I have with this amazing musicians and band. At times it can be very difficult, to stomach the fan base. Take care and be well always !

Hey! Good to see you back, Po! Yes, Kanami plays solos for the whole song, as per usual
Kanami almost always does this.
He is so dedicated that even in the "background" his movements appear to be solo. :)
Great to have you back! The buildup up to the solo is great! Nemophilia's latest album is great. I like the BM hidden gems idea

The mix on this really is awesome. How nice to hear Miku's vocals & Kanami's guitar punching thru :)
@@GaryHolloway-810 Yes, I agree. Sounds so good!
Kanami's guitar is much more pronounced in this version so it does take on bit of a different sound here than what you've heard before.
