I am from EU, so i am blessed (Germany). BUT there were a lot of US bands back in the day i LOVED! I mean they were my youth like Limp Bizkit, Guns Roses, Nirvana, Metallica, Linkin Park etc. at this time i never heard of asian rock or something like that ( there was no RUclips like nowadays or internet). But they were always not "educated" in music like EU or Asia musicians. Just take MISA and Akane f.e., they studied JAZZ and they play together since over 15 years (schooltime/study+band) and they are only 30/31 years old so it is half of their lives. Of course they can improvise, doing stuff like they do and are such an overwhelming rhythm section. If you add the talent of the other ladies it is just mindblowing.... I missed rock and metal for a long time, but these ladies and some other bands drawn me in again and i am glad they did :)
And back again. She has a pretty unique ability to tuck her pick back and continue to slap without dropping the pick. Try it. It's damn near impossible.
Miku was all about vocals at the beginning. Now she's a vital part of Band-Maid's sound with her chunky rhythm guitar playing. It's never too late to learn.
I wish EDDIE VAN HALEN could see his 5150 AMP standing tall on stage as these lovely maids’ shred!!!! Hope to see them live in 2022 rocking CALIFORNIA!!!!! A certain MR EDDIE VAN HALEN would be impressed with KANAMI'S tapping technique.
If you’re interested, the meter change goes like this. The 1st time through it is 4 measures of 5/4, then 2 measures of 4/4 and a 2/4 measure tag (the drums). The 2nd time they play it, it is 3 measures of 5/4 and 3 measures of 4/4. Like Europe, a lot of these Japanese musicians have either a really good classical training, or they take it upon themselves to learn the theory as they are learning their instrument. In typical Japanese culture there is an attention to detail and there is the discipline and dedication. And you’re right about the funding cuts in education that usually end up decimating music programs.
I fully agree with you on Japanese (and broadly East Asian culture), they put a lot emphasis on education, dedication and quality which tend to mean that whatever they do, they likely end up with quality products (whether cameras, cars or music...)
This was recorded in 2018 the same year lead singer Saiki had vocal cord polyps surgery. The band was smart managing her load through their set-list to ensure full recovery. They always had songs with Miku (ryth. guitar) taking lead vocals and instrumentals like this masterpiece. Fans affectionately call Onset: Saiki's pee break.
Lovebites don't have instrumental pieces like this mid-show. It isn't necessary for them in order to preserve Asami's voice, as she gets a three minute break every song anyway, courtesy of M&M.
I love this song and performance so much! I love the concept that they're all together, then they break apart and have little solos, then they all reform and finish out the song. It's a simple idea but executed so well here and in some of their other songs.
Anastasia, Kamani is a classically trained pianist and she has become a rock guitar goddess. Get yourself a really good teacher, and you can learn guitar. If you do that, my best suggestion is practice, practice, practice.
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, Ana!
I'm pretty sure it's ILLEGAL to edit out any part of a Band-Maid reaction when the reactor is having this much fun..... maybe. That was awesome, Anastasia! Have a great time at the Nightwish gig! 🕊

Great song from band maid to react to. But....... It's May 11th. Nemophila dropped a new song today. Ray of light. You need to check that out. Love your reaction videos.
If you haven't reacted to it (and, I couldn't see where you had), checkout their live performance of Freedom; GREAT crowd participation, catchy tune & cool drum solo.
Other Band-Maid instrumental songs you would like include "Don't Be Long", and "Without Holding Back". If you can find it, the instrumental version of "Giovanni" is epic and would bring a huge "O" to you, just sayin!
I think you learning just a bit more about guitar is an excellent idea. No doubt it will help you in your music career as well, no matter how deep you go in the subject.
If you haven't seen and heard them; check out Unlucky Morpheus. I pray daily to Jill the violinist. In a band of incredible musicians she is the star. DAMN IS SHE GOOD.
It would be fun to see/hear your reaction to Japanese rock band Glim Spanky with very appealing and distinctive vocals from Remi Matsuo. Lead guitarist Hiroki Kamemoto shows influences from Hendrix, Page and others and even has guitar tone and effects chain to match. I strongly recommend "Glim Spanky | Deezer Session" which has three songs but if you want just one, try the addictive one at 4:25 "The Trip". When I hear it it sticks in my head for days afterwards.
3:17 so...I conclude: Tapping on the Fret...gets 'em Wet 😁👍 Man, it sure is good when the reactor is also an actual Rock Goddess ❤🤟🤟 (hey...love ya too Ryan Mear 😁👊 but...ya know)
I think it was just a week ago I caught Old Mr B reacting to you two of my fave reactors intersecting was a great way to start my work day. Now that I am a "retired" guy, four days a week I am on the way to the time clock at the same time as the last call crowd is lined up at the Jack in the Box. As a former roadie that should be me! Then again I'm 66 so nope.

7:40 same. On a piano I can see the patterns. My brain understands where everything is and I know how to physically move through the music... not so much on a guitar, lol.
I think this is your 5th or 6th Band Miad reaction, correct? That's about when the full Band Maid effect starts to take hold and you want to listen to more and more! They are kind of like the musical version fo chocolate covered pretzels. The first is is OK, by the 5th they are awesome and before you know it the bag is completely empty. For your next reaction I would suggest RINNE (MV version) or Play (Live Version).
Band-Maid adds this song to give Saiki a vocal break during their concerts, they are usually over two hours long! Epic music from these rock goddesses! Come on October!
Since you love guitar solos you should take a look at Gary Moore's The Messiah Will Come Again Live in Montreux 1990. One of the greatest guitar performances of all time.
If you like guitar solos, and I know you do, check out Liliac "Mars", live! You will need a cigarette after Sam's solo! I have that same Evanescence shirt, btw!
They do the instrumentals and sing songs with Kobato as lead when it's time for Atsumi Saiki to go for a break. I'm not sure whether Kobato's Magic Time (interacting with audience) is during the same period as well. But basically it's to rest Atsumi's voice.
I get what you mean about guitar. A piano keyboard has everything all laid out, but finding the notes on guitar takes some practice. Like, an A is between the second and third of the three black keys, and it's always there. On guitar, there's an A on the fifth fret of the low E string, then the open A string, then the seventh fret of the D string, then the second fret of the G string, the tenth fret of the B string, the fifth fret of the high E string - WHICH ONE? WHERE IS IT? You just have to commit certain patterns and phrases to memory. Guitar is one of those instruments that's easy to play a little, but hard to play well.
Hi sis, you're such a good reactor and sincerely love the way you reacted on all rock and metal music. Myself loves rock and metal music so much, until now I still listened to Grand funk, Metallica, Deep Purple, City Boys and others. Please, please react to an Indonesian 3piece girl band doing RATM's cover live in France last year.Anyway I'm from Singapore. Please you will not regret to react. Thank you again
Anastasia, you may know by now that the band calls their fans "Masters and Princesses" - as a 5-year (almost) "Band Maidiac, and Master," I consider myself empowered to declare you an official Band-Maid "Princess." And, if you like, you can also now consider yourself a 'Maidiac."
Moratorium, matchlessGUM, Alone, Wonderland, etc... YOU need to get ready for the show. I call this one "YYZ to the Nth degree." You do know YYZ, I hope?
You played piano? Then its easy to transfer your knowledge. Think of each guitar string as a piano and each fret as a key including the black keys. each string starts from a different note (E,A,D,G,B,e) so you've got 6 small pianos that start from a different note. At 8:35 she's almost playing it like a piano.
"Onset" was created so Saiki (singer) could have a break..She'd have throat surgery around the time this was made..and so needed a breather during the gigs to rest her throat. The ladies are always looking out for each other.

If you want to hear great musicianship here you need to focus on blues or prog rock, neither of which has any industry support here. The emptiness of the American music scene is due to the refusal of the music industry here to take a chance on anything innovative, and the collusion of the American music press who refuse to cover anything outside of the U.S. Consider that Nightwish sell out huge stadiums in Europe and South American, but play small music halls in the U.S. because only die-hard fans know about them. I know you complain that the Russian music industry sucks, but honestly, it's not as bad as the U.S. industry.
USA has never supported Metal like the rest of the world considering the access US citizens have to music. It has always been difficult to find Metal on a radio station since the inception (60's-70's) Why is Band Maid's sound quality not up to par with some other bands? {on you tube anyway??)
Americans have lost the will to create, to play music, since they started making Hip Hop they have only focused on computer created music, the great music bands of the seventies, eighties and nineties have given way to meaningless music, in Japan on the other hand in the eighties they started a climb that led us to create these exceptional bands, and it's still not over, however I would like to point out that there are not only LOVEBITES, BAND MAID, BABYMETAL or NEMOPHILA, there are so many other bands of incredible value, therefore, I recommend listening to TRiDENT's latest track, released just at the beginning of this month, entitled " SPOOPY " it's of devastating power, NAGISA on drums, NAGISA who replaced Junna in 2020, is stratospheric!

if you have Band Maid Prime, you really want to check out the latest clip they added : Miku playing "Don't You Tell Me" (Pull Angle).

I always say that Miku isn't the best guitarist or vocalist in the band, but her contributions to both areas are every bit as important. 🤘
