Have you made or bought curtains??? I made some easy just sewed and cut a larger black curtain and mounted two identical curtain rods via zip ties to the grab bars in front & back! It’s extendable so it reached to the back windows and doesn’t sat or anything because the curtains aren’t heavy. Throw something in there he front like a shade viser, and in the back simply put a blanket or black large curtain. Over the rubber lining and close the back window to hold it in place. Works like a charm and gives me so much privacy.

For those interested, a larger piece of wood on the base would not have any more or less overall friction. All that matters is the weight of the object and the surface material - the size of the contact area doesn't matter (unless it's so small that it digs in).

Only catch is you gotta ram the sucker into place its all cushion so go to town and get it as flat as u can then put a pillow in the reses where the seat folds...

Hey I have a Jeep Patriot 2015, looking to make a similar set up as yours for long weekends to golf, music festivals, etc. I am loving your set up, but am thinking to put in shorter drawers and add a couple drawers to go out both of the passenger doors. Mainly to wash up, keep some snacks, electronics, etc. I’m thinking I will like not having to walk around to the back all the time lol. I’m also thinking I would like to drop down stands for the end to make it more sturdy. I wanted to ask your thoughts about these two ideas as well as a ask if there is anything you would change or suggest beside what is mentioned in your first and second video?

Why does anyone camp anywhere ever? (A hotel room has so much more room!) A full-size SUV isn't an option for everyone.

😂😂 why don't all these weirdos just camp inside a house? a house has so much more room.
My reason is I love Jeeps(some years, lookin at you, Jeep 😤) and I can't justify driving a Yukon around town with just me and my dog when I'm not on the road/ middle of nowhere 🤷🏾

Uncle Fjester the whole point of this type of setup is to avoid messing around with a tent. Sleeping in the vehicle has several advantages: doors that lock, a roof over your head that doesn't leak if it rains, no filthy muddy mess to deal with the morning after a rain, I could go on. Best of all, when you wake up in your car on a 30-degree morning, there's no schlepping around in the freezing cold and wet, trying to warm up while you fight with a soggy tent and gear. You just reach up front, start the engine, flip on the heater, and lie there snug as a bug until the cab warms up. Then you drive into town for breakfast. :)
