I have this camera and I LOVE it! @ 8:38 you say the camera seems to lose focus: the camera senses hands (and sometimes other objects) to keep the focus on whatever is in the foreground to combat the "beauty guru hand" so you don't need to cover your face to have the camera focus on the object in the foreground. I talk with my hands a lot, so I ended up changing my mannerisms a bit so that my camera doesn't get confused and to prevent the focus shift from happening (as frequently). As someone switching from Canon to Sony, there is a bit of a learning curve, but it's still very beginner friendly. Definitely recommend if it's on your wishlist 😁
For tripod, I use the Ulanzi MT-42. It weights slightly less than my Joby, but definitely more compact. If you want to hold off on buying a wide angle lens, this tripod also extends to be a selfie stick. I bought it because it has a cold shoe, so I have an extra place to put my mic/light when the camera's cold shoe is occupied by a mic/ light 😂 I did have a quality issue, but customer service was on their A-game. Con: the tripod legs are not adjustable. It's either open or closed and you have to get lucky if you want anything in between. I hope this helps you in your search! ❤

Hey there. Just discovered your channel looking for reviews on this camera. I just purchased mine and had it about a week. I’m also a canon girl (70D) so this took a bit of adjusting. Where you said it loses focus - I noticed it stayed focused on your hand in the forefront. You may want to turn off product showcase in the settings or have it track and focus on the face/eye. You may have figured this out by now though. Love the video though 🫶🏾

Kit lens definitely has threads for nd filters. I believe it’s 42mm but double check.

I'm selling my ZV-1 in a few days (I have done one or two vlogs on it) and I'm looking to upgrade. I was checking the Sony A7III but the ZV-E 10 looks so good, especially with the interchangeable lenses! I love how the quality looks in your video so I'm definitely stuck on getting it. On another note, I love your video in general! the tones and fonts are phenomenal!

I purchased this clogging camera too. Not going to lie I felt so validated when you shared that you got it and what your reasons were ahaha! I also use the canon 80d 👌🏾. Im on a hunt though for a great tripod where I can easily shoot vertical, horizontal and possibly overhead . Curious what you used in Paris…going to head on over to that video now 😅
