I have my dad's mid-30s 14k Longines with a 10k Gemex Captain's band. He bought it in London before sailing home in 1945. It's one of my most prized possessions.
I absolutely adore the master calendar chronograph. It does not only have a date, day and month complication, but it also has a moonphase complication and, on top of that, it is a chronograph. For that price, it simply doesn't have any competition.
Longines has been crushing it. The beauty is they have something for everyone and all can feel proud about without any after purchase remorse. Plus they are not crazy priced, so you can always have more than one in your collection.
I just purchased the heritage pulsometer monopusher at the start of this year. I originally saw it at the boutique in 2015… I told myself be patient, when you saved up the full amount you can finally walk back in and know what you want. Fast forward 7 years later.. the same manager at Longines remembered me and was able to get me that same watch. Been in love with it since, the one button action with the crown is so crisp, the lacquer dial is so mesmerizing. I also own a Rolex, Panerai, and vintage longines as well… but I can’t stop wearing this heritage piece. It’s just plain fun. I think with the years to come I’m heading more towards collecting more Longines, past and present.
I've recently come to understand just how much Longines has been crushing it in the entry luxury watch department. That Heritage Sector piece is stunning, my god!
Yes .. Longines actually commands a big marker share worldwide. 5.6% it's 5th place. Just behind Rolex Omega Cartier AP. All the rest are wrestling it out with 1-2% market share. Tudor its main competitor has a mere 1.8% market share.
@@Mega-zi7ys Tudor and Longines are not in competition. Longines mostly produce dress watches. Even their chronos are dressy. The whole Tudor vs Longines thing is for net nerds. Go to China or HK and ask them if they know Tudor.
@@lamentate07 i understand what your saying and am no stranger to Asian market. Longines is far ahead...but from watch rankings level.. Tudor is longines level. And fyi I don't have these 2 brands... just so you know that i don't have a personal bias.
Longines is also one of the best vintage options. In the 50's and 60's they were widely regarded to be on par with Rolex and Omega. Decades and owners later things have changed. But if you buy vintage Longines, you can get some great value
I bought a vintage Longines from a thrift store last year for $3.99 after some emails to Longines I got the history of the watch that it was built and sold to a boutique in Italy in 1970, I'd love to know the history and how it ended up in Florida but the last time it was serviced looks like 1982, it still ticks but I don't want to wear it until I can have it serviced
I love vintage Longines watches. Lots of history and superb quality. Nevermind Rolex. I'll take a vintage Longines or LeCoultre (another quality brand affiliated with Longines) over a vintage Rolex any day. The value of a Longines versus the price paid would be greater than that of a Rolex anyway.
Each Longine timepiece per pricepoint are just beautiful. This video was made for millions of entry level watch collectors like myself. I have Tissot Visadate, sports watch, and an Orient Star dress watch. Appreciate your interaction with each other and the timepieces. Wonderful job. Keep up the great work. ⌚
I have to agree with Kevin, the Sector Dial watch is a beauty and very flexible. It looked extremely good with his suit and white shirt. My second favorite is the 'Big Eye' with the petroleum blue dial. I've had that one saved as my Windows desktop theme so I can appreciate it. Always great when Kevin and Teddy team up!
It is a Disease, I started collecting Invicta's the price was right and I have way to many (time) to move them. Now I'm moving towards the smaller dial with that I'm into Citizen and my favorite is Hamilton's. You two do great job, Thank you.
Love watching you guys talk watches. I agree with Teddy that Longines is underappreciated as a watch brand . I have a Longines cal 431 hi beat watch passed down to me and when I wear it, it gets lots of compliments when asked what brand, they respond never heard of it. When i tell them its Swiss, been around longer than Rolex or Omega they're surprised.
I really enjoyed this video Teddy and Kevin are a great duo when it comes to watches. I purchased my first Swiss watch a Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 with the blue dial. It is a nice everyday watch. I have been looking for the next level watch and have been looking at the Longines brand for a while. This video really helped reinforce my decision to go with Longines as my first $1000+ watch.
Picked up a AMZWATCH's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I see you two, and it's an automatic watch (pun intended)! Longines has always been the brand I eyed as my entry into luxury watches. I bought my first Longines last year, a moonphase, and I absolutely love it. I've since bought different straps to change it up when I feel like it but the Big Eye is DEFINITELY my next purchase.
Man you guys together, bring ssooo much fun to buying watches. I am both charmed by your interplay & excited by the content. Thank you & please don't stop!!
You two are a brilliant and lethal combination 😂👌 totally agree about Longines. Beautiful pieces at amazing value prices. Great movements too. Thank you again for a really enjoyable video. One of the best pairings on YT.
Kevin, you are the reason I bought my first watch. A "Seiko presage espresso martini". You said "you can't go wrong with Seiko". I did some research and I thought that's a great entry level watch. Thank you! 👌😁
Yes, I have bought from MAMACOO more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from MAMACOO again for sure.
I saw this and it said that it released 9 hours ago and my face lit up. My wife watched the video with me. These 2 together... omg I never get enough!! Keep doing it.
I love Longines. I owned Hydroconquest and its perfect. ❤️❤️❤️ thank you Sir for featuring Longines. 💪🏼🙏🏼 big fan of watches. Wish to buy more watches and collect like you. 🙏🏼
Fantastic video. I respect Longines a lot more now than I did. A special reason is that they get ETA to make the proprietary movements for them. I also own watches that feature in house movements, but ETA has worked all of the kinks out over many years. Beautiful watches! I would have chosen the very same model. It’s just stunning.
I appreciate the insight on the Longines collection. I purchased a Hydroconquest with green rubber strap and gold accents. Stunning to the eye. Great value indeed.
Yep, I would probably be doing the same thing. It’s called passion for watches. I get equally excited when talking about my Seiko alpinist and when I am talking about my Patek.
I purchased a Flagship last summer. With the beige dial. At first i thought it was boring but now i absolutely love it. It's so classy and it really fits in with my wardrobe. Not many beige dials out these. Pure class!
Teddy is very technical and prioritizes about specs, while Kevin as a collector looks at it from a different perspective. This is why this relationship works best. 👋
Great video Teddy! I was there at that Longines this past Christmas. Fell in love with silver dial hydroconquest automatic and had Santa 🎅🏻 get it for me.
Excelente vídeo e excelente escolha dos relógios. A Longines é uma de minhas marcas preferidas, e provavelmente é hoje a que possui os relógios mais bonitos e de melhor custo benefício. Parabéns Teddy por mais um excelente vídeo.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
The 'dream team' does Longines!!!! Gotta love it. A criminally underrated watch brand for sure. Normally I'm not a fan of 'minimalist' type dials, but I would have to say Kevin's choice of best in show is an absolute STUNNER! Very classy. For many wannabe newbies who wish to open their campaign into watch collecting $1-2000USD is probably a little pricey, but Longines offers fantastic value for money around this price point. As Kevin also correctly points out-NEVER buy a watch you can't afford and NEVER get into debt doing so. Agreed wholehartedly with the sentiment that watch collecting IS A SICKNESS (my wife would definitely argue the point on that one). Unfortunately my addiction is severely limited by very tight budget constraints , so I will have to save my pennies for a while before stumping up some cash for the Heritage Sector. So glad I spotted this vid, Teddy I've seen a heap or your videos and just love your calm, pleasant demeanour, knowledge, unpretentiousness and honesty. No idea why, but until now I haven't subscribed to your youtube chanel. Today that will be rectified.
Bravo for taking a serious look into the depth of quality and value that Longines brings to the table. I would love to see the Heritage series in particular get a deep dive. Thank you. All my best!
Entry level for me is Timex Weekender. Outstanding content regardless. Beautiful pieces and I agree with Kevin's pick on the black dial Conquest. That will definitely be my first watch in that tier.
So great to see these two together again!!! I'd have gone for the Legend Diver as my first choice in this one and then I'd probably go Big-Eye and Conquest. The Spirit is tough because it reminds me so much of the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto but I like the Hamilton better just for looks. Really love the emphasis Kevin put on not going into debt for watches. I can't emphasize that enough! Especially with all the crazy talk around investing in watches these days like they never fall in value.

I never really loved Longines dials, I liked them but there was something that didn't totally "click" with me, and I HATED the sector dial until Kevin put it on his wrist and then I agreed with him, it looked fantastic. The difference was so stark (between on and off the wrist) that I'm now rethinking how I feel about Longines :)
10 minutes ago I was looking up longines watches on their website and eBay, then this pops up, love it, I think I’m going to get a blue ceramic Hydroconquest, love the content man, it’s a treat hearing how passionate you guys are about watches
In a RUclips world so focused on the high horology and bling/flex pieces, this is truly some original and refreshing content. Maybe an omega boutique next? I personally own an omega aqua Terra with blue/teal dial / light blue hands and a longines spirit blue dial. Dials are definitely a primary draw,
That was a great video. My first luxury watch was a Longines. Still own it and it still looks and works perfectly. Thank you for the insight on the brand. I really enjoyed the video.
Considering the heritage, history, relatively unknown brand name in the anglophone market, and market positioning within swatch group above Tissot but below Omega, Longines presents one of the best value propositions within Swiss watchmaking.
I thought my 250.00 Wenger dive watch was a good Swiss value. Until after one year of wearing it, it completely stopped working. This was probably around 10 years ago still haven't found out what made it stop, maybe just needs a battery installed after one year of wear? It's been sitting in a drawer ever since.
@@Water4Mart yes Omega is owned by swatch group. Probably one of the best value for money brands. They even have a movement that is basically made just for just within the Swatch group.
@@rtime4269 yes back in 1985 when I was in high school Swatch was all the rage. I remember I had a clear one and one that had a mirror face. For a cheap watch it took a pounding and kept going. stylish and popular back in the day. 💯
I love longines, it was my first serious watch, was gifted to me for my first communion (it is a Catholic sacrament, don't know actually how it is called in English) by all my relatives on my dad's side and given physically to me by the oldest member that is now dead, so there is also an added value that makes me love the watch and the brand even more.
Great video. Would love to see y’all do something on total cost of ownership - when you invest in a watch or another luxury good, it’s important to know what to expect in terms of ongoing costs to maintain its value over time
So fun, got my lady one of their watches for Christmas and Now I want one of theirs too-- soooo well made and the value is off the charts --- Thanks you two!
O’Leary is almost unbearable to watch by himself, but Teddy does a fantastic job of bringing something out of him that makes him seem almost normal again. You can tell he starts to get carried away at times with his bs and fluff, then reigns it back in. It’s a beautiful combination of two opposite ends of the spectrum. Obnoxious uberiche, combined with a little bland and somewhat boring…meshing together to be really entertaining. Don’t lose this, you guys are great together. 👏
I am a fairly new collector of vintage watches. Been a watch nerd all my life, and now that I can afford some of the finer things, collecting vintage watches brings me a certain joy that few other interests do. Longines is certainly one of the brands that has always made my list. Why? Mostly because it’s one of those brands that’s first rate, top shelf quality, but not a hugely popular brand. I’m like many collectors in that I focus almost exclusively on Swiss made watches and when most people think of fine Swiss watches, what brand springs to mind immediately? Rolex. Omega. Heuer. I’ll make my point with those 3 brands, though there’s a few higher end names that I can mention, but frankly, the ones I’m thinking of are out of my league. The problem with trying to collect Rolex and Omega is they’re too popular. No matter the condition, or how ugly the watch (yes, even they made some rather unflattering models), they command top dollar based solely on their name. The fun of vintage watch collecting is finding those diamonds in the rough, the ones maybe overlooking by other collectors or sometimes even their owner, and there’s no Rolex or Omega watches that fall into that category. But Longines? That brand ( and to a much lesser degree - even a couple Wittnauers) is a collectors dream come true. The quality, heritage, resale value, market demand - Longines checks all the boxes. They were one of the Dirty Dozen manufacturers commissioned to make the desirable WWW wristwatches for the British military - in fact, the Longines model is the second rarest of the 12, I think. Anyway, their new watches are truly beautiful pieces covering just about every price point - something for everyone. They represent value above all else. Remember, price is what you pay; value is what you GET for what you pay. Longines is good value. Their timeless styling, superb quality, lower production runs all add up to a watch that will bring you joy and probably increase in value.
what i heard is that Longines is deliberately tier classified by Swatch group after acquisition in 1980s or so to be into a lower Tier and Omega into a Higher Tier watch so these 2 won't clash directly internationally and end up brothers brands fighting against each other . hence we see longines prestige and brand status going down over the past few decades. it is deliberately planned to be so.
Great video! Thanks for the look into Longines I see a vector dial in my future 😊 Also, you and Kevin mesh very well in these explorative videos - keep up the good work.
Thank you Mr Wonderful for talking about not spending money we don't have. At the end of the day, these are man jewelry and there's nothing wrong with that but having a reasonable perspective on finances is more important
I love it when you two team up! You guys do a great job!

Such a great team and partnership. Always entertaining, surprising, and informative!! More please.
these videos are so awesome. especially at entry level pp. really gives insight for new collectors and lesser brands
❤love how Kevin isn't afraid to express his opinions so bluntly. Gorgeous products. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Recently received one for my birthday. Feels great on the wrist. Excellent quality. I love it.
The ultimate duo when it comes to watch content !! Thanks heaps Teddy & Kevin!
I always immediately watch and Thumbs Up your collaborations with Teddy
I appreciate the insight on the Longines collection. I purchased a Hydroconquest with green rubber strap and gold accents. Stunning to the eye. Great value indeed.
Thank you Kevin so one of you shows now I look at watches now rather than glance for the time
I love how Kevin constantly interrupts Teddy throughout, but more out of excitement for the watches. Like a kid in a candy shop. 😂
Yep, I would probably be doing the same thing. It’s called passion for watches. I get equally excited when talking about my Seiko alpinist and when I am talking about my Patek.
Yes kevin is so great at telling you about the brands..he helped me a lot deciding. On a watch..
I purchased a Flagship last summer. With the beige dial. At first i thought it was boring but now i absolutely love it. It's so classy and it really fits in with my wardrobe. Not many beige dials out these. Pure class!

You two together, it's twice the show.
Well done. Always fun to watch you guys create content. Helped me with my first few watches
Teddy is very technical and prioritizes about specs, while Kevin as a collector looks at it from a different perspective. This is why this relationship works best. 👋
Always a good day when your video drops!Great video as always. Can’t beat it for MAMACOO watches!
Absolutely love Longines!! The hydroconquest was my first real watch purchase.
Great video Teddy! I was there at that Longines this past Christmas. Fell in love with silver dial hydroconquest automatic and had Santa 🎅🏻 get it for me.
As someone just getting into watches I love these and the insights I glean from them. Keep up the great work Teddy!
Love this series!

Great video Kevin. Love your enthusiasm and advice. Love the watch you bought too, what a lovely bracelet.
Teddy and Kevin really work well together.
Teddy and Kevin together as always brilliant thank you
Excelente vídeo e excelente escolha dos relógios.
Absolutely can't get enough of you 2!

Just picked up a Spirit Flyback Titanium from that store today. It was my first Swiss watch. Excellent service and experience.
Loving the video, supplemented by the wrist presence of the elegant Conquest 39mm blue dial.
Bravo for taking a serious look into the depth of quality and value that Longines brings to the table. I would love to see the Heritage series in particular get a deep dive. Thank you. All my best!
They actually go into Heritage in some of the sub 2000 dollar watch videos.
Entry level for me is Timex Weekender. Outstanding content regardless. Beautiful pieces and I agree with Kevin's pick on the black dial Conquest. That will definitely be my first watch in that tier.
I’m glad you guys did a video on Longines! Quality watches for sure. 👍
Thanks for watching

Love these episodes keep it coming Mr wonderful
I keep saying Longines gets nowhere near the respect and love they deserve.
Great to see a renowned collector like Kevin giving them some credit.
They are very popular in Europe. I don’t know why it has not caught on in the US.
Always looking forward to Kevin and Teddy videos. Great job as always

Dials are definitely a primary draw,
Personally, I'd much rather other less featured brands rather than a high profiile brand like Omega

Swatch group chose omega over longines as their flagship brand because Omega was easier to pronounce.
@@rtime4269 is Omega basically a Swatch watch now. If that's the case, I'll buy Longines now.
Would love to see y’all do something on total cost of ownership - when you invest in a watch or another luxury good, it’s important to know what to expect in terms of ongoing costs to maintain its value over time
These collaboration videos are great. I agree Longines are leaders in quality and value for money.
If you’re watching this, I pray everything works out for you! ~❤️Nat

I’d say it goes the other way too. Teddy can be boringly trite and verbose. Kevin helps balance that as well.
Beautiful series with you two ❤️
I am a fairly new collector of vintage watches.

Those Longines Heritage models are absolutely fantastic - and an excellent value to boot.

what i heard is that Longines is deliberately tier classified by Swatch group after acquisition in 1980s or so to be into a lower Tier and Omega into a Higher Tier watch so these 2 won't clash directly internationally and end up brothers brands fighting against each other . hence we see longines prestige and brand status going down over the past few decades. it is deliberately planned to be so.
Great video! Thanks for the look into Longines I see a vector dial in my future 😊
Also, you and Kevin mesh very well in these explorative videos - keep up the good work.
I love this series, teddy calls your bullshit so respectfully - you guys make a great pair looking forward to more videos together.

I bought for myself on my birthday 6 months ago The Longines Heritage 1969. Love it!
Thank you Mr Wonderful for talking about not spending money we don't have. At the end of the day, these are man jewelry and there's nothing wrong with that but having a reasonable perspective on finances is more important
