I find this game to be very underrated. It's was, in a way, the Sonic game I wanted. Multiple characters, dark and in depth story, great level design, and kick ass music. If they fixed the game, it would've been a lot better than how it turned out to be. Maybe not spectacular, but definitely better.
And a great 1v1 multiplayer
I gotta agree on that. Multiple characters to play as which is awesome, the sonic adventure formula my favorite kind of gameplay for sonic, graphics look pretty good for back then (and the 06 models will remain my favorite sonic models), level design is okay but if game were completed would’ve been better, story in concept was good but subtract the sonic x elise, explain and fix a lot of the time travel parts, have characters actually act smart instead of stupid for the sake of plot, add more to the Sonic story, and explain plotholes. Then the story would’ve gotten an A+ from me. I
loved the music (favorite sonic soundtrack), the realistic setting of the game, and I overall enjoy a lot of things in this game. Wished it was completed so that way I no longer have to whine about wasted potential.

This game is awesome, you get to progress through the story as other characters, there are parts of the game where it makes you understand why there are certain conflicts in the game

It took me a while to realize that in the cutscene before Shadow's first Mephiles fight, at one point, Mephiles actually snaps his fingers. That legitimately freaked me out when I realized that.

I like how when you have partner characters with you, when you finish a stage, your amigos just stand there. Each character has their own victory poses, but if they're not the playable ones in the level, they just stand there when you finish

Sonic 06 has a bunch of bugs and glitches and there's the silver bossfight, that's why everybody hates it

- mephiles making his plan too over complicated
- The old cast ( Amy, Tails, Knuckles ) being overshadowed for nothing

You should see mega man forever. It isn’t worth playing at all. Yes it’s much worse than this. It has a long intro, Robot masters look dumb, special weapons have no energy, engine is glitchy, there’s no checkpoints, die even once, start the level over. Lose all lives? Start from the intro.
It had a sequel that wasn’t THAT bad, I never felt like finishing it. There’s only the robot master stages, and wily castle stages are unfinished. Both are in the works, but they’ll be bad. Trust me.
I hope Shadow the hedgehog can make into Super Smash Bros Ultimate for echos fighter as Sonic or main character🤞

This game in my opinion had a great story, gameplay, level design, music, character design, and graphics for the year and what they had to work with. I do have to admit, it does have some glitches but it's overall a great and fun experience for a game made in 2006 with half of a development team. The glitches also only trigger when you do something wrong so yeah, it's like a penalty. I am biased but I think it is totally ruined because of other RUclips's talking trash about it, go back and play it and you might even like it.
Yes the game was fun and enjoyable, and besides what game doesn't have glitches? Still better than forces.

I'm amazed by how clean these sprites were designed on this mod. I would say they look better than the Modern designs in my opinion, although I like both at the same time. While I understand why tons of people hate this game, it's really underrated. Story was pretty good, characters were amazing but underrated as well. Gameplay is decent until it gets glitchy. If they take the time and remaster or remake the game while fixing all the glitches and getting rid of the whole Sonic X Elise crap, it'd definitely be an A tier game for sure.

When I first played Sonic’s final boss, I was enjoying (but also having a tough time playing-) the game so much that it never occurred to me how the quality of the background looks. It’s literally a falling battleship. The wind effects are so cool! Like how does someone top that on a PS3? The boss backgrounds were really perfected nailed and completely atmospheric.
