I had this exact problem with my new unit and their manual says nothing about this. I got the blinking red light in the charger while it was in my garage. I brought it in and that fixed it.
The charger says all of this with a light that will indicate that it is too hot... There is a thermometer icon on the light that illuminates whenever too hot. Glad to see you got that understanding downpacked. DIY most things and you will never want someone else working on your equipment!
Hi @mandijyn, when it’s fully charged it will turn on a solid green light on the charger. If the charger’s green light is flashing, that means it’s still charging. Does your battery has a button to show battery charge status? Pressing that button should tell you how much is the charge, you might need to remove the battery from the charger for this function to work.

Thanks, this happened to mine. It turned on green, then quickly turned to red & it was 105° outside.

Does it have a USB port?
Some batteries do, but I think mine doesn’t have USB
