Lets say I was a bit skeptical at first. Greenworks replaced my dead battery and it was just in my pile to recycle and figured "why not." I hooked up my brand new battery to my old dead battery and let them sit for about 5 minutes and my old dead battery now is on the charger taking a charge like nothing was wrong. This was great. Thanks! For anyone curious I just used some electrical wiring I had laying around from some wall socket installs recently.
Yes it blinked red when inserted. I assume it was not charged while blinking red. Couldn’t confirm because mower could not run with that battery. Voltage seems to stay the same AFAI, so again I assume it wasn’t charged.
@@hieutrantrong9865 I have an 82V battery, and ran into the same issue. Some chargers apparently want more than the rated voltage to function, because I eventually got it to work.
Just connect it to your brain by pushing the positive wire into your right ear and the negative wire in your left ear. Then connect the other wires to the dead battery as shown in this video. If there is any sign of life in that brain of yours it will recharge the dead battery. You're welcome.
I already have two defective batteries like this. I going to try jump start to see if it will help fix a problem. Thank you for sharing your experience.
😂😂 All i did to minds was light up the battery status bar first then quickly place it on the charger so the charger doesn't read through the entire battery status. Charged right up. All dat hotwiring Jumpstart unscrewing both batteries waste of time. All it takes is a second 😂😂
Yeah, I attempted that several times in multiple ways and only thing that worked was jumping it. However, gotta do it every time until I figure out how to fix whatever is the root cause

Glad it helped!
I never comment, but had to here....this worked perfectly! Thank you for bringing my dead battery back to life!
Glad it helped!
Just brought mine back to life. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Just tried this and it saved my battery, thank you!!!
Glad it helped!
have you found any off brand less expensive 80 volt batteries that work well ?
Thanks for sharing. Quick question. 80V with different amps will no work?
You bet! As long as it's the same voltage, any Ah should work.
Can I use a good 80v battery to charge to a bad 60v battery? Please let me know. Thanks.
I would say No. You might fry up the battery circuit board.
Where do I get a cable like this ? What kind of cable is it?
it's a standard electric wire you can get anywhere at a big box store.
@@nu.perspective What gauge wire did you use?
Can you please just post a link to one like yours or to yours?

I just tried this, bad battery’s voltage is now 80V (from 76V before jumpstarted). But the charger is still blinking red. What else could I try next?
Does it blink red when the battery is inserted? Does it charge?

What if one doesn’t have a second battery to jump start with ?
Similar to jump starting a dead car battery, you will need a good battery with the same voltage to source the power from.

@@treydrier3169 You know, I tried that method. Shorted the battery right out. Make sure to have a beer (or two) before attempting this.
@@christianlibertarian5488 Yes that always helps along with a little hemp. 😁

of course, and good luck! thanks for watching.
sick i love it lad
Thanks, mate!

Hmm.. sounds easier said than done.
