Hey man just came across your video, great stuff! I think I disagree with Hephestus becoming worthy at the end of his life but like you said. The topic of the Higher Existence still hasn't been fully explored in the series so at the moment all we can do is pretty much guess on how the rules actually work. Keep up the good work! hope to see more your videos on my feed
Couldn’t we also say that Athena also made mistakes she and areas stormed a city as it burned doing nothing to help the victims and taking a brother away from another
I would also say that it seems like the heart and the action have to reflect selflessness Thor putting down his hammer Athena putting down her life they both are actions of selflessness and their intention was self less Hephaestus taking a life for the sake of protecting another is just biased
Thanks, Kaptain Kuba. I'm glad we agree on some things. And I can't wait to see what the God of War community and we come up with to try to defy the rules of the higher existence until it is more charted in the future.
I agree, Hephestus tried to kill kratos to save his daughter. Thor died for his daughter Hephestus was not like "my life for my daughter, please just let her go" he was like" "YOU MUST DIE SO SHE CAN SURVIVE!" 2 examples don't fit and green might be related to greek ascension.
What if it's not a plot hole but just the way Thor dies, or Odin's spear just obliterates everything it kills? It could also be that Thor ascended because he was redeemed, and Athena was wrong about her own acension, she didn't ascend because she sacrificed herself, but redeemed herself by telling Kratos the truth she withheld from him for so long.
Except that literally goes against the director's statement, where their INTENT was that BECAUSE she SACRIFICED herself selflessly for Zeus, she ascended. I mean, I usually only consider what happens IN the source material to be canon, so they could easily retcon the statement... but when a statement backs up a theory based on in-game evidence, I assume that theory to be canon until disproven by actual canon.
The director never said "sacrafice" though. Athena made it to the higher plan from "a selfless act". Arguably going against your nature and self preservation for the sake of your children can be considered a selfless act. Now, I personaly don't think Thor assended because of this, but I just wanted to point this out.
@@Paradox-es3bl it could easily be explained as "different pantheon, different requirements" 🥴 not everything has to be 4D planned out tbh. It's fiction everything is really easily explainable
i think it's odin's magic. one interesting thing about thor's death is that there are no soul particles we can see (or they might have blended in or been off camera) so maybe his magic allowed him to kill without people going to the afterlife. and you know, even thought my theory is different, i think thor has accended to the higher plane not because of noble acts, but because of the denial of afterlife, same with brok. this is insanely far fetched though, but it would be cool
Well, the soul orbs are also blue... so the easily could've blended in. Someone would need to go frame by frame almost, since I do think they tend to be slightly smaller than his disintegration orbs... but still.
Can Thor's disintegration be related to the fact that hes a half giant? Beause when we spread Faye's ashes in Jotuheim, there was this golden dust that flew along with the ashes.
I love how mjolnir is seemingly tied to the one who wields it. As Thor is defeated and he calls it back one last time it seemingly drags on the ground before landing into his hand seemingly slowly, mimicing Thor's weakness at that moment.
I like to think Thor dying in such a manner has to do with his grasp over Primordial magic. He hit Jormungandr so hard, he sent him back in time. If that doesn't put him near the same league as the Olympians, I don't know what will. And we saw what happened when the Gods of Olympus died: the power that defined them rushed out of them, not even leaving a corpse behind.
it was their concept yes, since kratos’s curse prevented him from having true death, his concept never explodes from his body after death despite being a god of war
I'm pretty sure its due to fimbulwinter distorting the realms that made Jorm slip back in time. Its not like Thor can just send anyone back on command. It's most likely accidental.
@@WatamelonGod Okay maybe it was accidental. But I am still willing to bet Thor is at least on Ares' level. He is half giant, who in GOW are the norse equivalent of the Titans.
@@driddick7361 Angroboda is a full giant yet she nowhere is as powerful as the Titans so I doubt it. I see the Titans as more of primodial beings since they've lived way before Zeus was even born.
@@WatamelonGod True but that could be on account of how young she is. Also, we can't forget all the Giants Mimir talked about in the previous god of war game. And we know Ymir as essentially the post humous Gaia of sorts. And Thor is much more matured than little Angrboda.
Check out my latest video, where I go into more detail about the rift in Odin's basement, and the possibility of Christianity coming to God of War: ruclips.net/video/g7LZDTRBJ9U/видео.html
The blue particles could also mean he's being sent to Helheim. In Viking mythology, you have to die in battle to go to Valhalla. What about Brok you might ask? There is no afterlife for Brok. And typically it is your body escorted by the Valkyries, hence why other bodies are left behind.
The colors green, and blue are mere representations of one's powers, you can see the same green particles on GOW ghost of sparta, when Athena touches Kratos's head in the ending of the game. This means that Athena's powers "even though are never shown in the games" are depicted in this color and nothing more, just as hades powers are depicted in purple, Zeus in yellow, etc..
I remember when Kratos killed Ares, he ignited into a nuclear blast. When Kratos killed Poseidon, it flooded Greece. There was something different about Thor's death
What if Athena wanted the events of gow ragnarok to happen like they did? What if she was manipulating things so kratos lived? Why? Because if kratos dies at this point there’s a good chance that he will ascend due to his new nature. She doesn’t want kratos to be able to fight her and if he ascends he becomes a serious problem but if he stays alive he remains on the lower plane of existence and can’t directly challenge Athena.
The whole thing about hephaestus standing up to kratos is that he didn't just stand up to him he tried to kill him out of a selfish act to save his daughter instead of just nobody sacrificing himself so that kind of debunks Hephaestus standing up to kratos.
It wasn’t a selfish act it was a selfless act the man really tried to kill the god that killed hades and cronos knowing he didn’t have a chance just to protect his daughter even kratos gave him praise for that
Okay I guess I have to reach iterate what I said. Why it's selfish is because one his daughter is dead and that is a false Spirit of her, and instead of standing up and sacrificing himself he had malicious intent of killing someone and interfering in someone's destiny like kratos which isn't too Noble even if you're trying to save someone hence why I say it's a selfish act since he's interfering with someone's destiny in the hope of saving said ones family member.
What Hephaestus did wasn't purely selfless. Kratos reentered his forge by way of Aphrodite's portal. While I agree Pandora was his main reason there is no denying that revenge was a part of it.
Now that you mention the higher plane thing that’s exactly how Athena went out so that’s gonna be an interesting conversation. “How did you die?” Kratos- “oh say no more he killed you like me. Nope he urged me to be better and than my dad killed me” 😂😂😂
I think the reason Thor Disintegrated was to get him out of the way for the scene of Odin vs Kratos phase 1. Kinda hard to have a fight with his body in the way, from a director's point of view it draws attention away from the scene and fights to have his body getting thrown around. Easy was to hand wave it out of the way.
@@TheFalconlazer In this case the director was too lazy , the real world answer is the same as the in game world answer . Because doesn't make sense for thor to just dissapear in sparkles like any dragur or enemy we kill , that indeed dissapear to not be in the ground anymore. Heimdall for example stayed there because we weren't gonna fight in that place anymore so he didn't turn into sparkles.
@@danielcastaneda4975 Dissapearing for a fight after the last fight isn't really an in universe answer. What Keith and you are describing is an out of universe reason based around gameplay mechanics. An in universe reason wouldn't be based around gameplay mechanics 99% of the time.
Maybe “hope” is not the only power out in the world, maybe their are other powers, love, freedom, truth etc. drawing on these things may ascend people. Or his death was as simple as just a method to get his body out of the final boss arena.
I believe Thor did sacrifice himself. He *must* have known defying Allfather would mean his death. In that moment, he knew he was sacrificing himself for his daughter.
Agreed. It's the idea of doing the right thing, knowing that it might mean death for you. Athena did it and as you said, thor did it too. Personally, I think the weapon they died by factors in. The Blade of Olympus being the most powerful weapon in Greece and Odin's spear, which I would assume would be the most powerful thing in the Norse realms. Death by an OP weapon must mean something. We'll have to just wait and see I guess.
The dog in the beginning Fenfirirrir or whatever died and has the same particles come off him. Later his soul goes into that psycho canine wolf thing chained up that makes realm tears.
Great video. I had the theory that maybe Thor, because he is part Giant, his spirit, much like Fenrir, is imbedded into his hammer. When he died his hand reached out for Thrud, but his hammer was in the way. Maybe some of his spirit is in the hammer. It only took one particle for Fenrir to be stuck in Atreus’ knife, so maybe. Well, that could be an explanation if they wanted to bring Thor back.
I think Thor's death is more of a way to symbolize his power. The Greek Gods didn't all die in massive world-ending cataclysms. Hephaestus, Hercules, for example, both just became rotting corpses. The Titans also only became gigantic corpses left behind. The Gods that created those cataclysms were the absolute monsters of Olympus: Ares, who went full Hiroshima, Hades, who unleashed the souls of the undead, Poseidon, causing a tsunami, Helios, with the sun going out, Hermes, with the plagues, Hera was at her lowest when we meet her, but she was still Zeus wife and the remaining plant life died with her, and finally Zeus, who pretty much unleashes an explosion the likes of the one that ended the war with the titans. In the Nordic saga, it's very clear that the norse pantheon is far weaker than their Greek "cousins". Even Mimir and Freya are astonished at the powers they held (control over time, manipulating nature itself, and so on). Even Giant/Vanir magic is more of a clutch - they need spells, rites and witchcraft, whereas the Greeks simply had to will the elements into doing their biding. Even Kratos held such powers in Greek saga, specially the novels, while in the Norse one he only has limited powers (strength, healing ,etc) and has to rely on weapons for magic. Thor was clearly different than all other Norse gods in that regard. He wields lightning and thunder itself. Granted, it's at a much lesser degree than Poseidon, let alone Zeus, but he doesn't need to rely on Mjolnir. He also clearly isn't knowledgeable on magic/spells, which means his control over that power is a lot closer to what the Greeks did than any other Norse god. So, while his other compatriots didn't have espetacular deaths (Baldur's death doesn't cause fimbulwinter, it's just that it marks the beginning, he dies right before it starts, fate and all, not cause and effect), his body disintegrates into lightning as a showcase of his inner power. Still, it wasn't on the same scale as the greeks as he still is much weaker than them. This sort of puts him closer to Athena in power (technically both even die in similar ways, after being stabbed once), and their deaths do look similar. Granted, both Baldur and Heimdall showcase some innate control over the elements, Baldur with ice and Heimdall with bifrost, however their use of it is even lesser than Thor's, which could mean they didn't have the accumulated power to get that more sparky death. And as a side note, technically Atreus also has some of that innate power, with his shapeshifting abilities. It's clearly shown that's not giant/vanir/anyone's magic, just Atreus' magic/powers, which is far more in line to his greek heritage (which makes sense, since aside from being half giant Atreus doesn't have norse god, vanir nor asgardian, heritage), and likely means he had far more potential even if his shapeshifting isn't as shiny as lightning.
The particles could also just represent the gods power and theme. Athena when she used her power on Kratos glowed green "Your ties to this world are severed. You are ready... to be a god." She touches his head with both hands, a green energy comes from them. My assumption is that she died in green particles because green represents her personally, or maybe green just represents wisdom?? This could explain why Thor died in blue particles, His godly color(Guess I'll just call it that) is blue, and his children sharing such power will all also be blue. Thor was broken into a mindless killing machine for Odin, but deep down he just wanted a loving family and to be a father. In the end he saw reason and decided to as Kratos puts it "be better" for his daughter. I don't know, that's just my guess on why he died in blue particles. I assume Kratos would be red if he died while meeting the requirements to ascend.
I'm pretty sure they're both ascended, it's just green is the color of wisdom which Athena represents and blue is for lightning which Thor represents. Particle effects don't have to be exclusive to ascended people either. Kratos's Draupnir Spear emits yellow particles for wind, and the Blades of Chaos emit orange for fire. Hephestus didn't die trying to protect Pandora, he died trying to kill Kratos. It's about the subconscious intent, not conscious words.
Hephaestus was sadistic and laughing while trying to kill Kratos he was enjoying it. Thor was different he didn't die armed he died believing that the best way to protect his family was to stop being "Odin's Monster" and simply refuse to fight. He was not expecting a stab through the heart.
Might I pose another theory? I think he dematerialized into Mjolnir and will somehow be able to communicate with Thrüd in a future title. That or he already has, and that may be why the hammer appeared before his daughter in the first place, hence the bit in Alfheim post-game.
No because Odin used the hammer to get rid of Thrud, sending her off in the distance with the hammer, so she probably just picked it up. My question is how was she able to wield mjolnir if kratos couldn’t lift it
@@alfredopasta3784 Kratos could lift it. The times he couldn't control it is when Thor throws it which is supposed to be actually unstoppable. Kratos actually tosses the hammer around with his blade pretty casually
honestly you might be on to something because Thor is part giant and we've seen things suggesting that a part of Faye's soul stayed in the axe but idk because Faye was full giant I believe while Thor is only half also would Atreus grow as tall as Thor since Atreus is part giant?
He ascended to a higher plane just like Athena did as he made a selfless choice right before he died just as Athena did right before she did, just my thoughts 💭
@@TakeitEZE_98 same 😁 would be nice to think it happened that way , and it would kinda be fitting if he Ghost Thor hangs around Loki tormenting him just like a brother and as Athena did kratos, that might be far fetched though 🤣
I have a third option: the place where Thor dies subsequently collapses and the characters must fight in Odin's chamber, just below. It would be morbid to see Thor's corpse while all the action sequences are happening. The developers needed to subtly "get rid" of Thor so as not to divert attention from the most important moment of the plot. Good analysis mate, stay strong.
I figured the blue particles from Thor were symbolizing that as he died, thrud was bestowed the full power of Thor And she was seeing wielding, his power and his hammer at the end of the game. Manny and she would be the next big game. God of thunder, and one of the most powerful Falcons Valkyrie
If anything I'd assume Thors Paul went into Mjölnir cause of his connection with it and he spoke to it like atreus and the sword, and thrud was talking to it at the end of the game like it was he dad so I think it might be possible.
Like how Faye just gave Kratos A Kid And Died And we didn't even see how she got kilt or any details surrounding her death something don't make sense God Of War Ragnarok Game Of The Year 22 Elden RingK
@@cookingwithkratos Wrong. Atreus literally has a birth mark that is identical to that of Deimos, Kratos' brother. That suggests that Atreus is of Kratos' bloodline, not Odin's.
This is basically my answer to anyone doubting Thor's sacrifice: It's a fair argument to say it wasn't really a sacrifice. It wasn't as straightforward as Athena's. But after his fight with Kratos, Kratos tells him, we must be better, for the sake of our children. In the end when he stands up against Odin, his change of heart, he died for Thrud & Sif, to be better, for the sake of his children. Remember what Brok said, it's not the "form" of a thing that matters, but the "nature" of a thing. His form was that of a Destroyer, but his nature, a man seeking forgiveness. (Its not the outside that matters, but whats on the inside) I think in the end, he changed his nature and it wasn't for him, but for his family. That's just the way I saw it anyways. The way he died and what happens to him was convincing enough for me.
Nah this is the craziest theory I ever heard , I hope between the show and the next game everything , and I mean everything gets answered . I felt they did Thor so bad , didn’t have enough of fights with kratos or screens time . I hope tyr and Thor come back next game , I wouldn’t mind freya/mimir either .
They let me down big time man. Im not gonna blame my high expectations either. This game was a complete let down. So many moments of missed opportunities. Like for example the creature we free in svalthiem. That whale should of wanted attack mimir. But all we got was "he liKeS tHe wiNd oN hiS fAcE" like wtf. I have more on this coming soon man. I have been doing so much content on this game its crazy
@@cookingwithkratos ... Really? This game was massive and a ton of fun and it seems youve finished it and you still complain? Enjoy what you've bought.
Everyone assumes the green particles are a sign of good, green could be the color signifying the demiurge, not the monads. It would make more sense considering the demiurge is there creator and created all the realms. I don’t think the monad would have a realm like that. Odin even says he’s gazing into the secrets of all creation.
I think Thor's form is absorbed into Mjolnir. The hammer was off screen and still remains. Thrúd has it in post game and flies off when wielding it. She never did that before.
I think it’s his elemental power retuning to nature like when Poseidon died and fell into the ocean, the tide rose because he released the water he was controlling. Seemingly not as destructive this time tho with Thor
This is my take on this topic, What if the requirements for entering the higher plane of existence is different for Valhalla and crossing river Styx. On simpler terms, Norse mythology and Greek mythology has different terms to enter their heavens right. Being worthy in Norse and Greek mythology are extremely different. For example, Kratos had to kill his own deity in order to be worthy of being Athena's champion, but in Norse self sacrifice is sign of worthiness, not strength. Athena did have change of during end, she lied to Kratos, she betrayed Kratos when Zeus asked her to, only by the does she sacrifice herself for her father. Maybe she entered the higher plane of existence because of her manipulative powers she had over the God killer and being indirectly being responsible for the death of the other Gods, may be that's why she would not let Kratos die, as he might also enter that plane for his direct involvement. Also she could've lifted his curse if she wanted to from new found powers, but she did not do that.
Hephaestus standing up to Kratos and Thor standing up to Odin are different Hephaestus did it for selfish reasons in a way, whereas Your did it not only for his daughter but to do as Kratos said "to be better".
I would say that thors soul went into the Hammer. because blue orb? we saw fenrir soul went into the knife but some of the blue orb flew away as well. Thrud speaking to thor's hammer as if she is talking to her dad? able to wield such weight? Controlling the lightning same as Thor , that quickly. I would doubt there is something going on
I honestly say that the answer is yes. Thor, standing up to Odin was a selfless act even going so far as to drop the hammer. Yes, the lightning particles emerged as he disintegrated but other Norse gods don’t release their concept like Greek ones do. Baldur didn’t release his concept, neither did Magni or Modi, hell even Hiemdall didn’t release his concept. To me, I would say this: Yes Thor did ascend, and he released his concept as he died.
Just look at when a God dies in GOW3. Their power gets returned to the land just like how mimir and freya theorized about Greek magic.. blades of chaos are bound to Kratos cause the strength of Sparta still exists in Kratos there's something in him that no God can take away and I feel that's the same with Thor. His immortality was bound to lighting and I'm sure his death would cause storms and that blue particle effect was his power returning to the land rather than ascending to a higher plane of existence but that's my thoughts
Guy, you understood this, why no one saw this connection, but for me, his death cause the end of storms, like, in Midgard stopped the storms, the finbulwinter is differently in each realm, in Midgard snowstorms starts and Thor is the protector of Midgard in the original norse mythology, the are some connections
The difference between Thor and Hephaestus is that Thor decided to stop killing on behalf of his daughter and embrace a better path, thus redeeming himself, whereas Hephaestus acted out of fear and tried to kill before his daughter could be killed. Sure, he had his daughter’s protection in mind but not everything you do for the sake of your children is noble. Hephaestus was also manipulative/deceitful throughout his whole exchange with Kratos
Your brother is 100% correct. We sit back and justify these plot holes as if sms cant make any mistakes. I showed prof that odin is the biological father of loki and i lost subs over it. 😬
You think Laufaye couldn't have slept with Odin before Kratos? He didn't know about her rage, nor her drinking with Thor... so it's not like Faye didn't keep secrets. I mean, I don't believe it... but that doesn't mean it wouldn't make sense.
@@platinumeffect2467 well make it make sense why odin is shown on lokis wall. Make it make sense why faye knew loki would be holding odin in the 2018 game. Angerbora though it was kratos but FAYE KNEW it was odin all along. Go back and look.
What if Thor comes back to life next game because what if Loki finds a way to bring him after his adventure and he returns home and remember it giant magic and we haven’t see a whole lot of that
The giants leak blue spirit particles when they die. Maybe the lightning power is a concentration of his spirit as a destroyer god? I think there's a pretty good argument for him not being dead, nor ascended, my evidence is the painting of Kratos being worshipped and the giant, wide, blue entity covered in runes reminds me of Thor. Unlikely to be the case but I'd say there's an argument that he'll be a part of Kratos' builder Pantheon as the hammer is, like the axe, a weapon with a secondary capacity to build in opposition to it's destructive capacity.
Just had a thought during thor’s death did u notice his right arm it looked like he is about to snap (2:44) like when u used to call his hammer and also when he teleports he did it faster than odin(my POV)
I think Thor goes back in time like Jormengangr and appears right after Atreus falls sick in the first game blows the horn to reconcile with the snake, and then seeks out the Giants and distant lands, possibly meeting up with Atreus in the future.
I don't remember now, but I played the Portuguese version of the game and in the final battle after Atreus desperately yells at Odin because he did this to his granddaughter and killed his own son Odin says: “Thrud is fine, I saved her from here, but Thor will depend on you" (he refer to Kratos and Atreus) This line occurred when I played the game for the second time, I was surprised because I didn't remember this line in the game.
I think it's pretty obvious there's no theory's here. They probably just wanted to remove Thor's body from the Odin fight or when Oden destroys the ground. Or maybe they just think it looks better disappearing into particulars.
It's more about a great change in a god's nature that allows one to ascend to a higher plane of existence. Thor chose to change his nature from a destroyer, a monster that only does another's bidding.
Can we all just take a moment to ask ourselves why there is glowing blue hue in muspelheim around the valkyrie even after clearing the remnants of asgard?NY theory is that there will be more to be done new game.soon
Thor is the literal embodiment of lighting. The thunder is simply created from the actions of his body. It makes sense his body becomes energy when he dies.
When I saw this i thought "wait is he a servant?" Since in fate if their spirit cores (AKA hearts) get destroyed they disappear the same way Thor did. It might mean that the way gods are in the GOW universe works similar to nasuverse's servants.
THOR IS IN THE HAMMER (the name is awfully difficult to write). In the mural at end of the game where Kratos has becomed a beloved God(being worshipped) you see Thor next to him in Blue paint. The "canvas" was repurposed by Angroboda BUT the dev/artist/director intentionally put Thor there in the mural. So my theory is he's in the Hammer and will forever be alongside Thrud, protecting the realms.
The thing with Hephaestus doesn't work to support either argument because of his actions to inflict harm on another. His reasons don't matter as the circumstances of his death were the result of him attacking someone else. Sure he thought he was saving his daughter so it could be seen as a selfless act BUT it was completely selfish in the fact that it was something he wanted, not entirely for her.
Bro Faye Color Is Same As Athena Look at the mask after it is broken look at the encounters with Faye I spotted Green color and she is acting weird why is Faye haunting Kratos after she is dead she is appearing in his sleep
Thor is a Giant. Souls can be transferred into weapons. Just like Fenrir was transferred into Atreus’s knife. Thor’s body disintegrates while falling into the direction where he dropped the Hammer. Later, Thor’s daughter is seen talking to her Dad while looking at the Hammer. Thor lives on in the Hammer. NAILED IT! 🔨
Technically, killing a god while they're doing something noble, turns them into a martyr. People remember martyrs and martyrs become stronger than when they were alive. It's sort of an oxymoron, when a god dies this way, because a god can only truly be killed, if no one remembers them, but turning them into a martyr only causes people to remember them more than when they were alive.
As Kratos said to Atreus every God's power is different and that they did not know the extent of a his power. It's easily possible that this could just be an extension of Thor's power. If you destroy his body he lives on as lightning. Until another game or some other story medium comes out everything is just a guess.
I know at the beginning of the video you stated that the game has alot of plot holes but when I was watching a video about the marvel movies leading up to avengers End game the directors stated they no longer wanted to be trapped in a script that only went one way due to having the after movie surprises in the credits and from what I've been seeing with Sony is that they might be going the same way in terms of no trying get locked into having to do something for the next game I know Santa Monica studio makes the game but I've been seeing a trend even with horizon forbidden west . so they want to leave the game open so when they make God of war 6 it won't be locked into what we saw on the giants' walls.
I don’t think Hephaestus fits in with selfless deed argument. He passed while fighting. Athena and Thor were not fighting when they were un-alived. Beyond that, he never did anything selfless. He lied to Kratos about helping him, sent him on a mission to die, and then had Kratos build a weapon he would turn on Kratos. Lying to kill someone doesn’t hit me as the same two people choosing not to fight and still be sacrificed/killed.
i just thought he died like the greek gods did, for example, when we murk poseidon and he falls off mount olympus, he starts turning to water before he hits the ocean.

That’s a great point! Or maybe SMS just didn’t want Thor’s enormous body in the middle of the arena?
Odin states that he doesn’t know where the gods go when they die. It wouldn’t make sense for it to be as simple as that.
They explain in the first game after magni is killed that gods don’t go to Valhalla or Helheim
U got a point
I hope ur comment got famous
I remember when Kratos killed Ares, he ignited into a nuclear blast. When Kratos killed Poseidon, it flooded Greece. There was something different about Thor's death
Baldur was using ice and fire magic bare handed in his final boss fight
good point
I think it's just a cinematic thing, it adds emotion when thor reaches out to his daughter and it just looks more graceful
And uses him to kill gods, so they too can’t ascend. Using Atreus as a motivation for his killing in GOW5
The whole thing about hephaestus standing up to kratos is that he didn't just stand up to him he tried to kill him out of a selfish act to save his daughter instead of just nobody sacrificing himself so that kind of debunks Hephaestus standing up to kratos.
It wasn’t a selfish act it was a selfless act the man really tried to kill the god that killed hades and cronos knowing he didn’t have a chance just to protect his daughter even kratos gave him praise for that
>"selfish act to save his daughter"
>lol lmao
Easy was to hand wave it out of the way.
that's probably the right answer
@Jason Briggs Very True. It seems purposeful that they wanted the audience to see Thor's unique death.
Right answer for sure but the video is talking about an in universe explanation not an out of universe answer.
Its not like thor was in fighting shape anymore

Odin didn’t seem to care or be surprised how Thor died
That was your theory bro.
U’ve mentioned it first.
Great content btw.
I hope Thor returns he’s awesome, and his voice actor is awesome
Love your work so much brother keep it up
KapTain Kuba got nothing on you my boy🐐💯
Facts
I'm pretty sure they're both ascended, it's just green is the color of wisdom which Athena represents and blue is for lightning which Thor represents. Particle effects don't have to be exclusive to ascended people either. Kratos's Draupnir Spear emits yellow particles for wind, and the Blades of Chaos emit orange for fire.
Hephestus didn't die trying to protect Pandora, he died trying to kill Kratos. It's about the subconscious intent, not conscious words.
5:38 Im pretty sure in Helheim when Thrud tried to fight Heimdall she got angry enough to have lightning come off of her body.
Thor became one with the element of lightning.
He ascended to a higher plane just like Athena did as he made a selfless choice right before he died just as Athena did right before she did, just my thoughts 💭

I wouldn’t say Athena was “good”. She referred to Kratos as “ghost of Sparta” in the first series, a derogatory term for him
I figured the blue particles from Thor were symbolizing that as he died, thrud was bestowed the full power of Thor And she was seeing wielding, his power and his hammer at the end of the game. Manny and she would be the next big game. God of thunder, and one of the most powerful Falcons Valkyrie
love to be so early for one of these videos.
If anything I'd assume Thors Paul went into Mjölnir cause of his connection with it and he spoke to it like atreus and the sword, and thrud was talking to it at the end of the game like it was he dad so I think it might be possible.

This is basically my answer to anyone doubting Thor's sacrifice:
It's a fair argument to say it wasn't really a sacrifice.

Everyone assumes the green particles are a sign of good, green could be the color signifying the demiurge, not the monads. It would make more sense considering the demiurge is there creator and created all the realms. I don’t think the monad would have a realm like that. Odin even says he’s gazing into the secrets of all creation.
In my most recent video, I say this.
@@abdbay cool! I need to get caught up completely, love the videos man. Keep thinking outside the box and making entertaining videos.
RUclips:Are you here so fast. Who told you to watch this fast. I give you the recommendation and then you watch it. It’s a simple fucking concept

Don’t say the thing Don’t say the thing Don’t say the thing Don’t say the thing
It’s all just a theory. A GAME THEORY

Additional point: Thor's body would be a nuiscance iin Odin boss fight so it was desintegrated

I like to think he just becomes the personification of thunder when he died
I don't remember now, but I played the Portuguese version of the game and in the final battle after Atreus desperately yells at Odin because he did this to his granddaughter and killed his own son Odin says:
“Thrud is fine, I saved her from here, but Thor will depend on you" (he refer to Kratos and Atreus)
This line occurred when I played the game for the second time, I was surprised because I didn't remember this line in the game.
I think it's pretty obvious there's no theory's here. They probably just wanted to remove Thor's body from the Odin fight or when Oden destroys the ground. Or maybe they just think it looks better disappearing into particulars.
The power is too moth fo a corpse to handel
Two videos in one huh bro? Nice
I like the idea of Odin's spear straight up deleting people
Athena blasted after particles , Thor didn't , it would have been amazing to see him die like Zeus instead of Particles .
Bro Faye Color Is Same As Athena Look at the mask after it is broken look at the encounters with Faye I spotted Green color and she is acting weird why is Faye haunting Kratos after she is dead she is appearing in his sleep
the intro is so gud it makes me feel so emotional for kratos
That intro is fucking 🔥🔥🔥
I think a cool idea is that Thor becomes the hammer because mimir commented it has no soul, and sigrund the sword had one
Thrud has Lightning Powers like her dad as wee see in helheim with heimdall
Well I Thor-oughly enjoy your videos.

Maybe the rule is to reach a higher plane of existence you have to be a god who rejected violence but died in the act
