I'm a band lead guitarist too, been playing lead guitar for more than 30 years. The more i watch and listen to Ms. Miyako, the more i'm having a big crush on her. Keep up the great guitar work!
Only Miyako can pull off a delicious soulful lead of our dear and beloved Gary Moore. I have seen this so many times and it only gets better and better
Close my eyes and I swear the master is making that guitar weep. Gary Moore would be very proud of her performances with his influences. My only regret is Gary being gone as I would love to see a duet with them playing together, then again I don't know if I could last through the entire song without over reacting. Well done Miyako the master is very proud!!!
I discovered just yesterday 🤣 but i am in love with you ladies 🥰. I love Gary Moore also, great playng Miyako. Keep going, rock on!!! And happy New year 💝🎉.
Simple, it stems from people lacking the skill, discipline and talent to do their own thing so they resort to hatred and envy, cos they ain't got nothing.
@@davidfiler5414 Or it could be that it's yet another recording of brilliant playing with atrociously shitty audio. Don't you feel that the crap audio detracts from enjoyment of the performance just a little bit? Other people might feel that it ruins their chances to appreciate her playing (hell, I'd be pissed if I were there and had to struggle to listen over the background noise). Did you stop to think people are rating the *quality* of the video (it's shit) rather than her performance?
I have a lot of respect for Miyako (and Midori), but my respect is even bigger for Gary Moore, I grew up listening to his renditions of this song, and I just can't understand how a talented guitarist as Miyako is OK with performing such poorly executed cover.😕
ruclips.net/video/vkUpfw4Hf3w/видео.html Watch Gary Moore himself do this. Miyako will be a master like Gary someday but while she could out shred him, he out does her on expressiveness. She also leaves of the long descending section at 6:55 in Gary's video. No shame in falling short of one of the greatest guitar players ever. Her own compositions stand on there own greatness.
I remember watching Gary play this in Belfast 18 December 1985 along with Phil Lynott for the very last time, absolutely tremendous!! Why the last time because Phil died a couple of weeks later on Jan 4 1986 Which made that performance extra special. Video can be found on YT!! Check it out
I think Miyako and Midori are excellent power metal shredders, but It seems no one in the comments has heard Gary's version: ruclips.net/video/vkUpfw4Hf3w/видео.html there is no point of comparison.
Hi, Cottero, but you know that this is not the only version of his epic solo Gary Moore has ever played? That his versions differ very much? If Watanabe Miyako would have played her Les Paul here then the sound of her rendition would have been remarkably more ressembling to that of Gary Moore. But I like the tone of her modified Dean, too, it sounds great! Finally, it wasn't Miyako's aim to copy Gary Moore's solo, of course, her aim had to be to deliver a solid rendition that pays due respect to the late genius. And she did that, without any doubt. I'm sure many of the commenters here know exactly that version you linked at. I do, and I saw it quite a lot of times, it's one of Gary Moore's best performances. So what?
this shows that technical ability and songwriting are very different talents. The songwriting and melodies here sucked bad and so old and boring..nothing fresh.

10 out of 10 for Miyako, you are magnificent, 0 out of 10 for who ever left that microphone stand there.
That sounds so beautiful. Not only is she a kick ass metal guitarist but has great ability to play something that touches your heart

Super!

Kind of her signature "go to" song. She's played it many many times before.
What does her shirt/jersey say?

Get in line, sir!
