Thank you Ian. as with your Oxford tour, you have provided an extensive, informative and attractive walk around this important English town. As an Englishman, marooned in New Zealand, I have a need to remind myself of all that awaits me, should I make it back one day, and your tours are an essential element in that remembering - top shelf as always - well done :)
Lovely video thank you Ian

Very nice old houses, with the character of that old época. A very interesting visit. Highly recommended to visit this town. You did a very nice, interesting, and complete video walking all around.

I think Stratford on Avon is more apt because aside from becoming easy to recall, the town of Stratford is really on Avon. In fact, this is the only place I know with a name making reference to a river in its location. Unless it cannot be just referred to as plain Stratford because there are other Stratford(s) in England? Been here before in 2001, but his houses then were not crowded with other structures, but then many houses have been constructed near it since then.
There are other Stratfords, yes :) And also many places with rivers in their name: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Stockton-on-Tees, Stoke-on-Trent, etc.
🙏❤🌲✌👍
You must have picked the one day that the sun was out!!
The Luck of the English :)
Hi
Is there a way to book this tour online? I checked on the Website but was not able to see the dates for this tour?
May I ask what month this was filmed? I assume not January?
Late summertime. In January we get the beautiful blue sky but definitely not shirt sleeves and shorts temperature !
1:01:00 William is showing some leg in that skirt and knee high socks, wonderful video, i've really been enjoying these tours
Glad you've found us, Ricky!
Did you know his nickname was/ is Billy Waggle Dagger?
Your voice reminds me of Winnie the Pooh 😊
John Harvard never came from Stratford. His mother, Katherine Rogers, daughter of Thomas Rogers, who built the house, lived there. She married Robert Harvard, a Southwark man, as his second wife. John Harvard graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge, was ordained, married and moved to New England. He didn't found Harvard University, but due within a year or so of arriving in America, leaving a large bequest to a embryo of an educational institution that became the university. The liklihood is that Robert Harvard aka Harward was from a family from Bretforton, Worcestershire.
Looks like I mis-spoke on Harvard House, which can happen on a live tour. I don't do repeated takes or use voice over, so errors can occur. "Home of the family of John Harvard" is of course what it is and is how I usually describe it on all my tours. While John was not directly linked to the house, it was donated to the university by a later owner and is now cared for by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust on their behalf.
Crikey , I thought that it was Russel Grant .
I actualy live in stratford ..... why did ignor the homeless people ? .... u cant miss them ??
SHAKESPEARE
WAS A FICTION OF QUEEN ELIZABETH I
You sound like Pooh! 🥺
NO SUCH PERSON AS WILL SHAKESPEARE....QUEEN ELIZABETH 1 AND SOME OF HER GAY FRIENDS WROTE SHAKESPEARE......THERE IS ALSO NO SHERLOCK .....OR 007 OR ROBBIN HOOD.....AND NO HARRY POTTER......
Meh, would rather go to alton towers
Hah - get us a ticket, too!
Went there some years ago, there was hardly anything there, a disappointment, small scale.
The centre of the theatrical world...small scale? I think you'd have been better off at Disney World.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks!
