Good video. I like that you showed some of the logistics at the beginning. Considering doing this myself but am a little intimidated by the hills. I did a dry run of it on my own and it took most of the day. The hills (for me) were tough. This past summer I did my first GFNY in Sweden and it was great but pretty flat. Looking forward to my next.
Thanks for watching! You should definitely do this ride! The hills aren't bad at this event. There's 2 steeps climbs, but over all, it's small rolling hills throughout. I'm jealous that you got to do GFNY Sweden! I'd like to go back there someday and ride.
Nice video. I think we were in the same corral. My #1314. It was cold on the bridge lol. That sucks that Hyatt did that to customers. Shame on them. Haha I know the dude with the System six that you were following.
Hey hey! When I first got on the bridge, I tried to act like it wasn't cold... I got humbled REAL quick!! That Hyatt in Fort Lee thought they had a solid hustle going LOL! I yeah, dude with the System Six was hella cool. We met right before the start of the race, tell him, he has a cameo in the vid! 😎
Thanks for the video! Mannnn I'm with you about the mandatory fee from Hyatt. I don't think they understand how much money cyclists invest in their property. You did the right thing.
watched this reliving the glory of the day, not quite finished but just commenting on how whack the bike storage situation was @ hotel . wtf? real shakedown
Welcome to NJ bro, a hussel here and a hussel there, but I love it!
Great coverage.
this was great coverage of the event. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you man! As someone who has worked this event in the past and now living in Rwanda, it is great seeing the roads I used to ride.

It felt like a very greedy money play. I'm normally cool, calm, and collected. But, that really sent me flying! Thanks for watching!!

No one attempted to ride fixed ? For the challenge?
Who knows. There's no rules against riding fixed. But, I'm not sure why you'd want to in an event like this that has a decent amount of climbing.
