What an insane video. I can’t believe you guys did this! EUC tech in action, I hope every PEV is as reliable as these one day
They’re surprisingly durable. I’m surprised I haven’t been dropped everyday. Knock on wood.
@@dasshorts7800 have you converted your Sherman to tubeless BTW? I have a much-shorter ranged wheel with a tire and tube and the process of fixing potential flats is something I should prepare for more honestly
Awesome
Thanks Dada for achieving my dream of going to Montauk (which i've never been able to do before leaving America for good) and it has been in dream since 2013. So thanks again.
nice
Next June let’s goooooooo
😂😂 Down!
👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎬 that looked awesome
The scenery was pretty incredible near the end for sure!
Da. Definitely want to put this under my belt. Let me know. Your boy Maxximus!!
💯 knowing you, you’d love this ride man. I do recommend seated riding though as it gets quite windy near montauk. But it’s a blast!
Racing is cool. Trail rides are good fun. For me long range rides like these are when the spirit of being a rider really shines.
Well said! Long range is my favorite too. Exploring unknown landscapes and taking in everything
Hey, stranger! I am too super excited that you are posting again! I hope you wont stop going through your footage and will keep sharing. ( I know it can be a thankless job though, so only if you feel like it, of course, no pressure.) Anything from the city ? Love when you talk architecture !
Haha thanks for the encouragement! Just difficult to find time to edit. But I’ll keep looking in my archives and find the next video!
More vids, please!!!
😂😂 I will try my best. Thanks for the support!
The longer rides take some endurance, but when you have a good group of people it makes all the difference!
Can’t agree more!
very interesting nice
Awesome video & content! Keep them coming! Be safe!
Thanks! Safety definitely is a primary concern for us. We take risks to have fun, but always calculated. Be well!
Man, what a great crew!
It's not often that people are willing and/or able to come along/enjoy this kind of ride.
As you said, it's about naively, stupidly and optimiscally face the unknown and emerge more than you were 😊!
For having done a 2 days long, 400 miles solo ride, I can say that it's true.
Having the right people definitely can make or break the ride. 400 miles is insane distance though! That’s amazing!
@@dasshorts7800 yeah, it is and I was thankful that I did it on my Sherman S. Let's just say that at the end of the second day (we'll into the evening), even charging at 1500w/h felt abysmal slow 😂!
@@mattca353 did you do the ride with other riders or solo? Was this on one of the infamous Archee rides?
@@dasshorts7800I sent you a invitation on Instagram 😊
Looks like a great ride and friendship ✊
Love to see it! Good stuff fellas!
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Yes Sir!!! Incredible ride Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! Would love to ride with you on the next adventure!
@@dasshorts7800 That would be Awesome!!! Let's Roll out.
Epic video
Thanks!
👍
Awesome awesome awesome, invite me next time da!
You like long range rides too right? This would be your jam!
wow long island is really long
Lmao sure is!
nice! gotta practice on my commander mini!
Commander mini is a good wheel but a longer range wheel will definitely help
Maybe this is the start of a yearly trip which will gather more and more unicycle riders until there’s thousands of us on the road for this epic trip. I have to practice my seated riding or won’t make it 😅. Thanks for sharing, stay safe.
Thank you, and that would be phenomenal to have this become a regular event. EUC TAKEOVER!
Yeah, long range riding standing all day is no joke (especially without suspension). I did It once to challenge myself and damn, my calves were DEAD., made out of stone at the day.
Great trip guys, wish I did it with you!
Should have come man. I was worried at first cause of the distance but the guys made it a chill ride.
Cool storytelling.
Awesome 😎
Thanks brother!!🙏
Thank YOU for watching
cheers, why don't you like de begode falcon, you think is a good wheel for a beginner?
Love the first Gen wheels
Very true. Still miss my OG Sherman!
Those were more like 4th gen wheels 🙂
@@ElectricUnicycles MARTYYYYYY!
That is a very impressive trip, nice job all.
Thanks! We really would like to do something similar but in a different direction. Maybe north
Best 2024 video!
Well-deserved subscription ))
Haha thank you! 🙏🏼
Do you worry about flat tires riding on highway shoulders? Or, is debris easier to spot than I imagine?
We do.. for longer trips sometimes we bring patch kits, etc. We try to avoid the really bad areas, but it is a risk. Luckily, this route runs pretty close to the train so if anything happens, there’s a way home.
Footage from 8 years ago.
Woah woah. This was only like 1-2 years ago
How many times did the cars honk at you guys through out the entire trip?
😂😂not too many. Maybe 5-6 times total. Once we got out of the city, the drivers were pretty patient barring one or two oddballs.
Da you're still on your og Sherman? I thought you had gotten a suspension wheel lol Looks like good times!!
Haha no, I did upgrade just didn’t get to editing the footage for 2 years
@@dasshorts7800 😂😂
I love your videos! I looked up Montauk on the map. It's like Cape Cod up here MA 🙂👍
I’d love to ride to cape cod as well! Do you guys do group rides to there?
I have not. In the near future
Just read the comments im like holy shit hes still on the OG Sherm 😂. So whats your main wheel now?
lol sold it for a Patton now. But hoping to get a long ranger soon
Bro I live in queens I would love to join you guys
It’s an epic ride from queens man. Would be a riot!!
Great video man. Well done as always.😀
Thanks man. Appreciate the love!
Don’t your knees take a beating on those things and is it legal to use the freeway?
For longer rides, we usually prefer seated riding. But if we had to stand, yes the knees feel it at the end of the ride for sure! We try to stay away from the freeway. Most of the route takes us on the service road, but there is a section you see where we had to cross the main freeway to get to an exit to local roads. But that entire section was a few minutes long. Not really sure about the legality of these things on the freeway, but I think it depends on which one.
how fast were yall going? i can't believe yall went on the highway. lol.
I think top speed was mid 40s. Highway was sketch tho. Only a short section 😅
Was it in 2022 as camera shows?
Yes took me a while to get to the footage
@dasshorts7800 so how long did this trip take with all 4 recharging stops ? More than 10 hours?
@@ThePawel36 We left at around 8am and got there at around 6 including charging.
This is cool, but looks kinda boring just on main roads the entire ride.
The lead broke the route into nice chunks. We charged every 2 hours roughly. And there were enough interesting tidbits along the path (like the Sherman tank) to keep us sane. But you’re right. Some other guys try to do the trip as fast as possible (instead of site seeing) and that makes for a boring ride.
