Aye, t'was grand wasnt it? Specially when yer dosh was on the horse's nose! A race to remember for all the right reasons. A race similar to that on the flat in the Derby where 'Desert Crown' threaded his way thru the field and trounced 'em all. Jeez, I luvs mah racing!
Back again 😊 just to re congratulate, outstanding training performance lucinda and scu and team great ride once again Mr Derek fox 👏 2nd national for him 🎉🎉 grand national winner for Scotland 🏴 he's proper humble guy very thankful for the ride in the first place great jockey
Brilliant but no surprise to anyone who saw his ride on One for Arthur in the National (imo the best national ride ever), and the ride on Arthur in the Warwick chase the Jan before when he nearly got brought down at the second. Fox is a fantastic judge of pace and unafraid to save energy (at the expense of a little distance) by going wide on better ground
@@daisymurdoch7575ohhh..Aye t'that! Our Derek's a fine jockey here, riding for a prolific, relatively small, but fabulous stable run by racing royalty.
CONGRATULATIONS FOR A VERY WONDERFUL HORSE RACE BY THE WINNING JOCKEY AND RIDER AND OWNER(S) ! A TRUER HORSE RACING COMPETITION IN MY OPINION BECAUSE OF STAMINA NEEDED ALONG WITH SPEED ❤ ! SINCERELY MUCH MORE EXCITING FOR ME TO WATCH AND ENJOY ! SINCERELY MR.DARRELL CLAY
@@LizzieWhiz….good jockey knows what to do but you still got to have a great horse under you to get the job done , that horse was exceptional and a fantastic ride by the jockey .
Rambler and Fox were weaving through traffic like it was a Nascar Race. I love to see horse and rider, working their way to the front, and then come charging past the leaders: to Win. Beautiful !
Nobody realizes what a great drive that was by a great rider threading through the traffic in and out and in and out without falling hitting another hole is tremendous tremendous tremendous shows you what life is about from that lesson out of it to the King of the night great ride young fella
I noticed that he continually mentioned Corach Rambler from the earliest stage of the race all the way until he broke out and won. Maybe he had a premonition.
I backed him because of the jockey, IMO probably the best consistently, he had not ridden at Cheltenham festival 2022 until this. He had been riding at other meetings and I believe it was his only mount there.
Completely by accident, I was watching most of this at double speed. It sounds very funny 😂. At whatever speed, this is so much better than American horse racing, in so many ways!
Right on ! How on Earth would you predict he'd win from half a mile out. Just hacked the first circuit then motored on the second. I laughed when they passed the winning post first time. The horse looked over to something on the outside of the course ... maybe the stables ... before jockey Derek Fox corrected him. I imagine the horse said 'Hey Del Boy, I'd quite like to run over there !'
I followed him as much as I could through the raced zoomed in focusing just on the winning horse, and he pretty much just tried to take it nice and easy for the first 3/4 of the race it seemed like. He took all the jobs good except for one where something happened in front of him and he yanked his head almost completely to the right or left I forget that obviously there was a problem in front of him, directly in front of him. He lost a couple of links off of that, but then got back on track and seem to catch a lot of breaks with a very gutsy jockey. These guys have the guts of a bobcat
Reminds me of Rhyme 'n' Reason in the 1988 Grand National. Down on his knees at Becher's Brook first time round and plum last as Brendan Powell somehow managed to stay on board. Not mentioned in commentary until 2nd circuit but picked them off one by one and got in front 5 from home. Lost the lead after 2nd last but recovered to win. Even more remarkable considering he never raced again and was retired due to a fractured hock, 'most likely suffered as a result of his Bechers blunder'.
I LOVE to see this kind of race where the horse that's dead last steps on the gas and crushes the field! It's a wonderful metaphor for many of us who may feel *we* are dead last in some way....reminds us to never stop trusting God!!!
Never ridden a horse howeverWatching CORACH RAMBLER lobbing around at rear of field I would be cropping myself he was going to exit stage left with his head cocked to left😮 Alternatively he is so clever he is taking the piss of us mere humans 🙄??? Brian Dawson Edinburgh Scotland 😀
Jockey has to navigate the horse through big fields. Manage the jumps judge pace and understand intuitively when to push on or hold depending on horses capabilities. It's a combination of trainer horse and Jockey trusting distance ground and talent of breeding
Only winner I backed at last year’s Festival, but as satisfying as any I can remember and paid for the week nonetheless. Shades of McCoy on Wichita Lineman if you ask me
Absolutely nothing like McCoy on Wichita lineman. McCoy was scrubbing him along for pretty much the whole race. Corach rambler was actually traveling well
having ridden work it seems that.assume " oh , just another " gallop ".until.it becomes time to.be ' requested ' to overtake those coming back to.them.& that instinctive desire we often watch in the paddock at home , to lengthen stride , quirk. one ear back to ensure no.one overtakes , . Threads the eye of needle…such a top lyric..can’t beat the UK for commentary

In the race for success, speed is only one part of the equation; endurance and strategy play equally crucial roles.

BRAVO!
Big day today. Corach rambler. Won 2 Ultimas. Today is biggest race of it's life🐴. Good luck rambler
Thanks for posting, one of the greatest rides ever, he had to move his horse all over and the horse just kept runnin, inspiring ride!

Horses are not very good at being interviewed

I backed Corach ante-post 12/1.
I'd never a doubt, even when he was out the back.
An outstanding ride from both horse and rider

I had to watch that a couple times to understand what I was seeing.
Holy shit. What a horse.
Same!!🇨🇦
What a jockey! He was weaving in and out just before the last fence and let rip as the horse cleared that last fence.

Yes he did pick it out even when it was about 9 lengths down
Wow,

Well Done my friend. 😃
