Trying to fix a Nintendo Switch dock that will not "dock"!

Bought a Switch dock from ebay that wouldn't connect to the tv?
Just shows a flashing light.

Ok, but at the point that you have to take apart the working one to repair the broken one, you should just use the working one.

Not really, the point is trying to"fix" the item not just replace.
I swapped the part to save myself £10 if it wasn't the issue.
As it was the issue I bought the part and than had two working docks.
