Hi Miguel, just found this because I have done a search for 3000gt before. I bought one of these brand new in 98 picked it up December 10th when I was age 32. Good story behind that since I wanted the Red with the same interior as yours. Some goodwill at Christmas time by a great person and how the dealer searched everywhere to find it. Only 2 existed in the states that they could find. But there is way more to the story on buying it....... Guess what, I still have it! It has 38,000 plus miles on it I believe. Don't look at the miles much. It was broken for a while but still drivable just no power so I only drove it locally or it would probably have 60,000 or so by now. Fun car and highly under-rated car. Some how it looks like your 3000GT VR-4 is missing its badging in the back maybe was repainted? That is probably why the paint is peeling. Also you have the 94 wheels not 98 wheels. The 98 wheels are just stunning. Same wheels where on all VR-4 models after the 94. May have been an option in 94 but not sure. Another tip is the boost gauge is not accurate, it is just a cool decoration. I used it to help me launch at first via knew when to release the clutch. The 98 3000GT VR-4 from the factory had a recall for transmission seals. I bought mine new because I wanted a new car but mainly to steer clear of the reputation for a bad transmission. It is a Getrag so I knew they were good. One of the Corvettes I believe had a Getrag as well. I thought people were just being abusive to them. Turns out the place that Mitsubishi of America was using didn't repair my transmission problem but took my new transmission and sent Mitsubishi a rebuilt one. That wouldn't be terrible but it turns out the repair company via which repaired all the transmissions in the states I believe didn't use Getrag parts but used Chinese parts. It broke within a year. When I called the dealership via Rick Case Mitsubishi in Bedford, OH they told me before they even saw the car they wouldn't be able to help me. It was under warranty!! I had to get a lawyer to get money from them. More to that story also. That's the thanks I get for buying a $48000 sticker flagship car from them which via I Paid $42,000. That would be equivalent to $67,000 sticker today. It was $7000 more than the new 98 Corvette. I had to decide 98 Corvette or 3000GT. I had been a Corvette fan since I was a kid. I went with the GT because to me it had way more style, loved the lines. Plus the inside had the gauges like the old Vettes did. However, mine was a lemon so I ended up doing engine repairs. From what I am told, which didn't help, Mitsubishi possibly didn't give as much fuel to the sixth cylinder for gas mileage ??? I heard that from a mechanic who ended up doing more damage to the car so that is probably bs. Anyways, I love the car and will never give it up. I never liked any other car until now 21 years later. The New 2020-2021 Corvette. I think the body design is 98%. So it is pretty awesome just a few things. So I'll probably end up buying one. The last car I bought was a 2003 Civic which I still have so it is time for a new car. Finally, I ran a 13.6 1/4 stock and 13.2. 1/4,with a boost controller. Then I put in an AEM Ecu and upgraded the turbos. I've seen many do this and be in the very low 12's. I never got to run it after the mods, got too busy. Keep the VR-4 restore it, find the right stock wheels. This is a rare car. Be part of the club that keeps it alive and well. I have a 3000 gt and am so excited to see you build it!!!
i’ve spent years looking for a clean gto vr4 and you just found one damn 🥺.. but good luck on the build im happy for “our” channel 😎
I can't believe no one said it yet! You need a STARQUEST Aka Mitsubishi Starion ESIR Aka Chrysler Conquest TSI, (86-89 widebody) 2.6 4cyl RWD turbo and...A (91-92) Galant VR-4. Two of my favorites. An aggressive Conquest is the jump off and the Galant is a Perfect Sleeper... Mad content for all the hoarding Mitsu fanatics! You would have a sick line up, no one has...A whip for each day of the week!
Dude, TOTALY build that baby! Look at Throtl’s build of a 3000GT. They can come out AMAZING!
Keep it! You’re absolutely crazy to sell this!
The chanel just took a other level 👌
Yessir!
As a person who had a 92 Stealth, keep it, it would be so cool to see you work on it and mod it
Congrats bro proud of this decision and very nice Vr4! You made the right choice it's a awesome platform I learned so much one thing I should say is but be careful not to fall into the money pit. Any advice I'm glad to help you out. I'd recommend big billet bolt on Turbos, A standalone ECU $500 or a flash ECU $650, and some E85. I have a 3000gt rear logo sticker if you want. Nice Car And Thank you for making the right choice this channel is getting exciting. 😉
Beautiful example to keep and build.
i just got my 2002 mustang gt miguel and love it🥰❤️
Keep it...it’s a VR4!! Top of the line
yeah that is a trifecta its a pretty complete car and the fuel could be injectors plug up check the fuel pressure that will tell you if the pump is working great and lines are clean with filter. check the throtl vids on their 3000gt gives away the guy who helped them who worked on the engines was a tech for mitsy so he knew what was the weak points and what needs changing.
Car runs now!
@@MiguelDsm yep I seen that when that gas came out i was like oh shit now that's bad not as bad as some i have seen coming out like a rainbow..lol check throtl builds miguel too the guy who helped mickie and them told them what needs replacing often to stop any leaks and keep them running like champs.
You should keep it dude honestly yes keep it I would love to see this build
You need to keep it don't let it go it is sick as hell love it.
Should get a 5g mirage and do full evo 4-6 conversion
Yes, yes, yes, and yes keep it and mod it that would be a sweet trio!
3000gt’s don’t get enough love, keep it if you can!
3000GTS are stunning….
