As an Asian who grew up in Florida surrounded by naive racism and discrimination, I couldn't care less about some apology or whatever for shit that happened in the1800s.
I never knew about the riot.
I have issue with statements in this video depending on when this video was produced. Does anyone know the date of this commentary?
Maybe bring back the Asian shop district and call it "Little Asia" rather than "Chinatown".
I am Asian American, and I would say that an apology and fair treatments with no hate is enough.

Oooh! I am from Texas, I'm a white guy but I am absolutely East Asian centric. I am considering moving up to Colorado in the next couple of years, it's one of three very distinct potential places I'll land on the map as I flee radicalized religious conservatism and dangerous seasonal weather in Texas. I'm moderate, what's happening in Texas is just too much one way.
My biggest fear at this point is not having an Asian community to visit. I mean, in Dallas it's fairly prevalent although I wish it was 500x larger here even.
Maybe it will be good up there, I'm torn between the Front Range area and Southern Washington right now. Colorado is winning for numerous reasons but I have some concerns that are keeping me from being convinced which I should pick.

Why are people apologizing for something that happened a long time ago? An event that none of us were alive for nor any of us were involved in?
