Days before he was set to relocate to Denver for work, four-year Chicago resident Paul Marsden lamented Wednesday that he never really took the time to detest the city he called home for nearly half a decade.

Poor guy, he probably never even got mugged outside his home or got accosted by a bunch of bums begging for change either. I do feel sorry for him. What a time he missed. Perhaps this will cause him to loathe Denver sooner when he moves there. I know it only took me a few days to despise the city when I lived there. :/
This is a bad onion video
Mugging might not make him loathe the city. He's from Chicago.
Not me, I always take an extra moment to hate my neighbourhood every time I leave the house.
So many crap places here; and the people, all horrible. From the yelling families to the junkies shitting in the street, from the drunks at night vomitting to the garbage trucks that wake you in the morning. I really hate this place, and I hope it knows it.
And it also has you.
DarkW0lverine - Ha! You must live in Minneapolis!
Ah well welcome to every non tourist spot in San Diego, nothing like driving past your favorite methhead on your way home from work
Well, now he'll have plenty of places to loathe in his new home.
Tomorrow I'll go and explore my surroundings more. I've lived here 17 years, but I've never been to that pretentious hipster place across the street where they sell all kinds of tea and coffee. Bet it sucks.
...did you explore your surroundings? ...did it suck? There was time enough :D
@@fabianluescher Yeah, I did! Turns out the place was/is run by a sweet old lady. I've been getting my coffee beans there regurlarly for the past 5 or 6 years.
@@bitspacemusic Awesome, you're alive! Finding good beans is always an adventure and its a happy thing to find a place you can stick to.
@@fabianluescher I think I might be the hipster here haha. It's just across the street so..
I thought it said "Man Moving to New York City takes time to Truly loathe surroundings"
Unfortunately, I've had plenty of time to hate on Minneapolis. Whether it's them tearing down and removing anything of character, the abusive cops and security guards, or the ugly new over-priced high rises, it's been a real downer. They ruined my city!
Its better to feel hate than nothing at all.
Apathy is underrated. I'd start an Apathy Appreciation Organization, but I just don't really care.
sounds like a shitty linkin park song
Müsta Klaki variation of 3DG. So no.

Number of good bands? ZERO, not even ONE good.
Xarion Yeah well that's just like... your opinion man.
Me and a lot of people I know spent their childhood and teenage years on Long Island and Westchester and moved to New York City the minute we got the chance. That seemed to work perfectly. We could despise and loathe our hometowns and associate it with feelings of teenage angst. If we had to experience high school hell while in the city, it might not be as appealing to us once we became adults.
0:35 "violently ill" haha
We've all been there. There's some truth in every lie. Lol
This was filmed on my block!!!!!
Jacob Turner What about you ? Did you take the time to hate the place ?
It's funny because I think it's actually one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago. The interesting thing is the "bodega" they're referring to was an empanada place that just closed. Either that or they were talking about Chicken Hut...
Jacob Turner Indeed, I love living in Lakeview East! Filmed the last interview right in front of Argo :)
I will not suffer from this problem when I finally leave Seattle.
LOL that annotation tho!
I think i know why he Moved to colorado.
Because he loves the Broncos!
I feel for this man since I feel the same about Louisiana and the rest of the Bible Belt.
00:26 haha
yup, ya just gotta get out more..
He's going to detest Denver.
This is sad.
he's moving to denver for that good good.
Chicago is pretty cool when it's not fuckin' freezing,
The title could have been worded better
That is how you do it
Poor guy probably never got to see all the giant rats scurrying through the alleyways at night
Somehow, I heart him.
Why would you not
Ha. This is me and Pittsburgh. How I hate thee.
man i haven't took the time to hate chicago yet
WHAT'S WRONG WITH BOYSTOWN / LAKEVIEW EAST!?!? I love Chicken Hut :(
😂🤣😭🤣👏🔥awesome 😂🤣😭🤣
Dear Onion,
Ménage à trois
The title said he's moving to NYC, but the story he's moving to Denver....
It says new city not New York City
Yeah, I misread it as well.
CCDaDon15
I misread it as New York City too.
Baked and faded
title says "moving to new york city" but the reporter says hes living in chicago and relocating to denver..
Each city shithole is pretty interchangeable
@@swagcandy2576 You replied to a 9 year old comment... I dont even remember watching this video but I agree lol
I too like my life too much still
Lolololooool
DENVER! wooo!
L O L
these are getting progressively less funny
Stop complaining.
please leave, bob sagget
No, this was just a bad actor.
Ari Snaevarsson
Are you brain dead?
You're complaining about how bad it is and you want *me* to leave? lol okay.
Title: “Moving to New York City”
Video: “Relocation to Denver, Colorado” ; “four-year Chicago resident” *no mention of NYC*
where did you see new york city in the title? I think you misread new city.
