One of the only RUclips channels where I watch every video in it's entirety.
🙏❤️💪👏
That bamboo won't help either. I am a gardener by trade and I usually advise people not to plant it anywhere near a building if they insist on having it at all. It will split and push through concrete and brickwork.
You know, I feel sorry for the rats sometimes, but I can't stop watching your videos and I only recently found the channel. Subbed.
Right on! 🙏👍💪
Overall, you guys did a great job!
Just a few suggestions:
1. Before pouring the concrete barrier (aka: Concrete Flashwall), it’s a really good practice to treat the trench and backfill soil with a quality termiticide for the control and/or prevention of Subterranean Termites. Talstar Professional is a fantastic product for that.
***With all that moisture, soil, tree roots, and wood on the subfloor substructure, I was surprised that Subterranean Termites weren’t mentioned as they are all conducive conditions.
2. When trenching out for the concrete barrier, I prefer to dig a little bit deeper to about 4-6 inches BELOW (not under) the bottom of the footing/foundation.
3. It was a bit hard to tell the thickness of your concrete barrier, but it looked thin. Should be a minimum of 4-6 inches think. Maybe it was?
4. Did your guys dig up all of the tree roots in the walkway area up to the property fence line before pouring the new concrete walkway?
5. Did that deteriorated and crumbling area of the footing/foundation warrant replacement? Or, was it still “structurally sound”? Also, what was done about that weep screed below grade (faulty grade)?
6. Although it definitely appears you solved the current problem overall, I would enjoy seeing a follow up “water test” video in a few months (with a video from inside the crawl space again) to verify the success of the job.
7. Did you guys address that fungus damaged sill plate in the garage?
Please share your thoughts!
By the way, the salt pellets are a great idea.
Thanks for the great videos! 👍
Great questions & ideas! I was thinking of a couple of those, too. I guess we see basic highlights, but I do wonder, for the homeowners' sake, how complete the job was.
The inspection alone in a tight crawl space is a note worthy job in itself with footage. The salt to kill the roots, I had to look that up, the salt is going to rob the roots of water. Thanks for your awesome mentoring once again.
Wow! Appreciate you watching and offering feedback.
You guys do stuff that doesn't involve rats?? 🤣 I kid, this was awesome to watch too!
We needed a damn break from
This dirty rats 😂😂! Appreciate your feedback
Omg thank you!!! That’s sooo sweet!! ❤️❤️always love your videos! I got my brother into them as well 😂😂❤️
We wanted to let you know you do mean a lot to us. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
I have never seen anyone use a German tile water proofing system on the exterior, very creative
I am always interested when you show what can go wrong in crawl spaces. This video may come in handy for me in the future.
I appreciate ❤️ the names on the shovel.
You guys rock , i respect a hard work ethic. You guys got that in spades
Such gorgeous homes but unfortunately built too close together and trees planted too close to the homes and driveways.
This was great content, and highly informative! I just bought my first house, so it’s great to know what to look out for, and what to ask of service providers :) thank you!
I agree
I love your guys vids keep up the good work ❤️❤️
These are the best at what they do and no bullshite from them just hard work from them and a poper job done all the time xx
You guys do an amazing job with the jobs you take on. Respect
Wow, what a massive job. Amazing work! At least when someone hires you guys they know they are getting 110% effort. 👏👏
You guys are the new dirty jobs, love your shows, keep ‘em coming. Thanks😃
Appreciate your feedback 👍🙏💪
You guys had a role on a horror film, but as a homeowner, this was scarier.
Right! 😂😂
Love your videos, your outstanding work ethic & your sense of humor. I about fell outta my chair lol when you began singing "La cucaracha" so freakin funny! 🤣🤣🤣
That’s amazing I do repipes everyday and know going under houses suck but breaking the concrete and doing the drain work 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
After you found the leak, you did the hard work to solve it! Wow!
That one walkway was very tight I can only imagine how many sleeves that were torn. I am sure it looked like you were threading a needle when moving equipment up and down that small space.
That was a very labour intensive job you guys undertook. Will the roots from the other house not grow back?
I think that's why they added the salt in the area.
This was so fun and informative to watch and I think it's great you are sharing this so people can hire professionals with these things in mind before they contract jobs that can be very costly and not appropriate for the problem. Thank you!!!
Thanks for letting me know how to fix those kinda leaks
I need you in Georgia! You should train and market affiliates in every state.
ABSOLUTELY
Taking off the suit 😂😂
I love having a basement under my home. I can see when there is a water problem and easier to fix, unlike buying a home on a pad.
Loved the film clip for the black widow.
9:16 had me 😂
You guys are the best
Always look forward to New videos
Where do you get those white suits are the washable or one use only?
I am SO addicted to your channel now, and the great thing is I just found you, so I have a LOT of "I've never seen this one" coming up. - Michael in Northern California. (EDIT : This is September 2023 and I posted this comment BEFORE I even saw the shovel, so it's very serendipitous.) 9:13 is SOoo funny.
Love your videos man
I love watching your guys is videos keep up the good work at what u guys are doing have a blessed day
I love your melody 🎵
What good service!
I love you guys show keep up the good 👍🏾 work guys
You guys are inspiring!!!!
Wow! Thank you 🙏
Amazing you guys are really something!
Appreciate you watching 🥰
Love the videos
Fantastic Detective work!!!!
Great Pec flexing
La Cucaracha - you guys are so funny!
🤣😂🤣😂✨✨🌈💜
Love your channel, I'm a construction nerd and love things like this. I really do hate how people can do so much damage to other's property with their hugh trees.
Great video
I like twins doing the rock paper scissors. It is so fun.
You guys did a phenomenal job. I would pay whatever because I know the twins are thorough and problem fixed.
Did you bury the weep screed under the new slab?
I get heart palpitations when he’s under the house
Does it require a sump pump or did you have gravity fall? did you install a french crain outside?
A very interesting video guys….👍👏
Oh my my ! Clean and dry . Makes for a healthy happy foundation 🤠
Do you water test before installing the finish concrete on this job? Just to make sure it’s not leaking anymore?
LoL the cockroach dance added to the rat dance ... brilliant...
So I live in the south and see this this all the time when it comes to high humidity. most of the foundations are made of hollow block with the floor framing system On top . We do what we call an encapsulation and of course an interior PD if needed .
My question is how often do you run into high humid crawlspaces in California?
Crawl spaces should be cemented over w/active dehumidification. Avoid houses w/dirt crawl space and EIFS exterior substrate. Get the water away from the house.
What is the water proofing material you use ?
Nice job guys!
Your continued support! 🙏👍👏
@@TwinHomeExperts You got it! As previously mentioned, you guys need your own TV show!
absolutely love your content. have learned so much from your videos. one tip of advice, you should blur out house numbers when videoing.
I didn't see this mentioned, so I'll say it. really laughed hard at your pecs dance. impressive. 😂
Tanzania are watching right now 😂
Thanks so much! Much love ❤️ 🙏
Good job I bet that was a healthy check 👍
Nice singing and bod😍
I’m just curious are the suits that you wear disposable or do you have to wash them and where do you get them from?
How do you stop stucco vents from draining into the house?
Install vent wells with covers. I'm not sure how well that would work if concrete was immediately next to the house though.
Do you have a recommendation in southern california? Please
LOL they have that tree mural on their wall 🤣 when tree is the source of their problem
Great guys. Fantastic jobs. 👍👍👍👍🥰who do you call. You call the RAT BUSTERS. Lol 😁😁😁😁🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀🐀Dave great pecks, nice 🥰🥰
Damn.... Talk about ONE STOP contractor!
🙏👍💪
First yes you missed my name on that shovel.lol and Dave bad news I think your going into the crawl space!!!!!
Travis thanks buddy! 🙏
What do u do about asbestos. Do u not worry about it?
Great stuff as always, hope the next door neighbour paid some of the cost🙏
why did you not have one of those folding military shovels you get on amazon instead of doing that to the full size one you can also get one with a segmented handle and it both full size and mini depending on how many parts you screw on or off
It's an old shovel. Who cares man...🤣
@@joshuahickman583 they are a company running about with airguns but not with proper shovels and if they had one of the folding shovels they would be prepared for anything like in this job they had to dig up round the house after cutting the handle of to dig under the house
Nice work but should have put an expansion joint against the house then caulked it. 😊
U guys need to find away to be on tv ur content is entertaining and very educational for home owners
that is bamboo and my horticulture professor told us never grovv bamboo u can never get rid of it and it grovvs right under the street and come out the other side
I was feeling really bad for you crawling around in that limited space. But after that La Cuca Roche thing I don’t feel that way anymore.
Lol!! That’s hilarious 😂
French drain at base of trench to pull water out?
crawling under that space yikes I would be afaid iI would get stuck have so much guts to do this so interesting great job
Thank You Janet! 👍🙏❤️
I would love font you guys to tackle a commercial site for rodents. That’s what I deal with on a day to day basis. Can’t be really frustrating sometimes. Commercial sites like retail strip centers. Great content guys!
We hopefully landed some big schools with major out of control rat infestation. Will need some luck 🍀 on this. 👍
@@TwinHomeExperts awesome! Hopefully you guys landed it because that would be some great content there. Keep up the great work fellas!
16:50 😂…….🤣
why they block the vents off
WhaT I would do different is hire you guys!!! Do you come to Tennessee without breaking the bank?
Oh you got radios now, great deal! I love you guys. Love the rat dance and nice pecks woot woot!😙
I’m a new sub
Right on Toca! Welcome and thank
You.
What was the deal with the prison fence between houses?
What about me guys I watch you guys every day and night
I don't even have a rat problem, I just like their voices
WOW!!🦇
Hey. What would you do if you have a rat problem but it's not an issue inside your home but it's an issue outside like they burrowing under your front and back steps(steps being concrete)
Haven't tried kill traps or live catch traps because we don't wanna accidently catch the squirrels that are in the area and/or possibly injure or kill the squirrels in the area
wtf were the builders thinking, these houses are way too close!
@@Jonjones520 I’m in big city too but this is ridiculous. It’s almost a duplex.
Please come to Florida and fix my house 😩
Till how long
My respect cause i couldnt get under there without multiple panic atks
Wait!! I own a house with a crawlspace. My first house in the south. My builder said it was ok if there was wet dirt under the house. It's how a crawlspace works. Should the dirt be dry?
Oh man! I think your builder lied. Crawlspaces must be dry including the dirt. Moisture in a crawlspace, which includes high humidity, is the welcome mat to wood rot, termites, mold, wood destroying fungus, poor air quality, insulation droop & failure, etc. Please research "crawl space moisture" and "crawlspace encapsulation."
How much would a job like that would run for?
Tell me who to call bc I havent met a good water intrusion company or pest who actually care enough or have experience enough to get to the root causes. They just make a quick buck by saying nothing. These are the guys you want to hire. They look for the root of the problem versus fixing the symptoms and just making a quick buck
Not sure where your located but Clark Pest Control is amazing for what’s it’s worth. Great customer service.
@@Tothemoonsafely In Tennessee. Where is Clark?
@@ladyj5682 sorry they are in CA and NV. Hope you can find someone honest
Shocking
Why? Why are crawl spaces so short? Why don’t they make them taller?
Yes, wish it were more roomy. Every builder is different.
Cheap - to save $.
May i kindly ask what is the purpose of the salt?
Deprive the roots of water & prevent them from making a hole in the structure again.
Dave's going under
Why did you put salts down before finalizing the job?
To prevent roots from growing there by depriving them water.
@@maxmanx1294 Thanks for finally explaining this. It’s been a year.
@@shawnjackson5623 You're welcome, but I'm just a viewer.
