That's crazy isn't it! It was all just a bit before my time but I'm slowly learning about these beasts...and I have to say, falling in love with them more and more
They do. It’s just entirely relegated to their performance division. The Shelby Mustangs and the new GTD, the GT supercar and its track only variants, the Raptor lineup, list goes on.
My cosworth 2wd sedan was rated 1250kg, in NL they put 100kg in the empty weight for fuel. So it was around 1150kg. Had the small efi update and Garrett aftermarket turbo, (i think it was T28) did 280hp not much lag. Did gap a stock e46 M3. Gapped stock R34 and a lot more. Never timed it, since this was pre smartphone era. Great car still miss it. Had burned the exhaust valves, must have been running lean or something, i was 19 years at that time so i did not know. Anyway happy i havnt crashed it, did some stupid thing with that car.🎉
@@ImranKhan-K11A17 made a big mistake, I sold the lot. Now they're worth so fkn much. At the time I brought the rgt5 turbos for like 3k each and the cozzie for 11k back then . Was pissed for ages 😤 lol
I had a Lincoln MKS EcoBoost for a few years before trading it for a Mustang GT convertible. I won a number of stop light drag races as no one thought it was quick. I sometimes wish I had kept that car.
That's terrible your right up his ase for 1 and 2 it's a you said its a v6 .but when it's was pulling out the car park it sounded like a cossie..350 it's not quick look at the cossies on llf
No I told him I was going to chase him! We were all driving the bridal party at a wedding so I was having a good chat with them before we took the party from the church to the reception. He was there with three other cars, Focus RS x2 and a Escort Cosworth. I said my S5 was a V6! I know his was a Cossie. Bur I will definitely check out llf, a few people have commented saying that there are some really really quick ones out there!
It was the way those cossie accelerated! So much character with the way they used to drop down at the back! Absolute legend!
You know I’ve never had a go in one! Really interesting to hear about how they drove though
What a damn fine arse! Proper car
@twinscrollturbo4410😂😂😂😂
cossie had a STOCK 0-60 5.7sec 1989 let alone modified

These were MAD cars. Why can't Ford makes stuff like this today ?
They do. It’s just entirely relegated to their performance division. The Shelby Mustangs and the new GTD, the GT supercar and its track only variants, the Raptor lineup, list goes on.
@@The-fs5wn wasn't the Sierra cosworth designed as the everyday man's super car ? It was affordable and would give a Porsche a good run.
Ford has largely given up in Europe. Its run by bean counters now not enthusiasts
@@The-fs5wnall rubbish examples 😂
Legislation, EU laws and emission regulations.
have to remember the old cossies weigh approx 1300kg your s5 weighs approx1700kg
Probably not even that much my Sierra coupe weighs in at exatly 1000kg, probably lil less now with the original seats gone.
and your coupe is a hatchback@@JGStone
Yeah very good point. From the comments section, apparently they can be a lot faster than that one too!

You also have to remember though that the S5 is automatic so yes the Cosworth might be lighter but it’s manual
