Got a 1.6 berlingo petrol 17yrs old and running and looking perfect. Zero faults.. nothing to beat these cheap french carverns. Perfect over uk shit roads. Their reputation from owners is good, reputation by press awful. These are a superb buy

I had an mx5, used to drive it hard all the time (till i inevitably crashed it). Used to chase an Impreza on the way to work at 5am on b-roads.... MX5s are fantastic B road blasters but there was no way I could get near that thing, it was just on rails through the bends, genuinely that car was levels above in terms of capability. I'd take the suby just to experience the level of grip and confidence in that 4x4 system

The engine noise isn't fake that's the noise of the engine coming through speakers if you have that switched off it's actually louder. sounds crazy but true.

Best I ever had on the display which showed miles left before needing to fill up was over 1k! Lovely car, mine was a 55 plate exclusive.Miss it dearly. have a c3 picasso now, its awful compared to the xsara in every respect. My old xsara picasso rusted away on the sill though.

Best car I ever owned, traded it in for a 2020 RS5 but I enjoyed the S5 more, having owned M4’s and C63S I’d take the S5 over all of those. Brilliant car and super reliable!!

Just the most practical car I've ever owned - I do a lot of mileage all over the UK and often work from the car with very early starts and late finishes........ the Xsara Picasso enabled me to: travel in comfort, get great mpg from it's simple 2.0hdi engine, work - or eat - using the seat back tables - and remove the rear seats for totally flat sleeping accommodation with easy acess from the front due to no central console.......so - transport, office, cafe and hotel all in one vehicle!!! Even better I bought it for £600 and took it up to 280,000 miles with very little expense!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can also pull the rear seats forward if you just want to extend the boot space without putting the seats down.

Your better off with a Ford Mondeo. GM Europe failed for a reason.
