Fast food breakfast sandwiches have become a big part of breakfast culture in this country. It’s always good to have a healthy breakfast in the morning to start your day, but every once in a while, you've got to chow down on a fast food breakfast sandwich.
It doesn't hurt to mix the healthy days with naughty ones, and fast food breakfast sandwiches are great for the naughty days.
Of course, there are many options to choose from. McDonald’s, Burger King, Starbucks, and Jack in the Box all offer breakfast sandwiches, but which is the best? We tried 14 fast food breakfast sandwiches, and we have decided on which is the best one.

I do like most of their bagels, muffins, sandwiches but that reduced fat turkey is one of my least favourite. I wish they would put mayo or sauce on the breakfast sandwiches or toast and not just warm them up.
Their chorizo breakfast sandwich is really good.
To b honest, i dont understand the hype over Starbucks, their prices are expensive and the food doesn't look appetizing or filling

Their coffee is overpriced ,overrated(bitter) so why would you expect their breakfast sandwich to be any better.?
If you go to McDonald's for any McGriddle sandwich, ask them to replace that pre-frozen folded egg with a "round egg", it's a freshly-cooked egg the same as they use on their McMuffin sandwiches. It totally changes the game and makes any McGriddle that much better.

The Taco Bell breakfast crunch wrap was my absolute go to. Unfortunately since covid there isn't a location that still serves breakfast within 100 miles of me.
Ultimate breakfast sandwich from Jack-in-the-crack is my go to.

Nothing beats the original Jack-in-the box breakfast sandwiches which were on real croissant rolls. The present ones do not compare.

Bacon, egg, and cheese toasters from Sonic are delicious! My go to order at Sonic is the breakfast toaster, cheesy tots, and a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper or Cherry Limeade.

The best breakfast sandwich in America....McDonald's don't sell that sandwich in the Phoenix area anymore...wish they bring it back...There bagels are top notch the bacon egg and cheese is outstanding also.

McDonald’s Sausage egg n cheese on English, and add bacon is pretty good. But I haven’t had that steak, egg n cheese bagel since I was in bean town.
There's a convenience store chain in the midwest called QuikTrip. They have the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Better yet, you can completely customize your order with a touch screen kiosk and add any number of toppings to your croissant sandwich or breakfast wrap.
Quiktrip is also in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. I think they are also in the southwest.

They are pretty much everywhere for the most part, but it's a gas station not fast food restaurant.
Finally a Mashed video I can agree with! I usually hate McDonald’s, but that sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle is THE BOMB.
Yep one of my favorites and the bagel sandwiches..... I hate English Muffins so the bacon and egg and sausage and egg McMuffin's are hard, dry and no flavor.

Ok, first, Jack in the Box has so much better than the breakfast Jack. The Extreme Sausage is my go to there. Paired with extra greazy hash brown patties and Orange juice and you've got a delicious breakfast. As for Subway, I would never get the flat breast there. Instead, go for a 6 inch steak and yellow egg sandwich on wheat with a squirt of that chipotle sauce is delicious. As far as McDonald's, skip the egg mcmuffin and go the sausage mcmuffin.

Yeah, the choices they made at the various restaurants is an enigma. The pick breakfast Jack and complain about the bun bc the want a diff option and it's not substantial enough of a sandwich. Uhhhh... Jack's breakfast sandwiches are easily the biggest of any chain. Ext breakfast is massive. Ext sausage, loaded breakfast sandwich, etc.... does anyone even order the breakfast jack?

Carl's jr. also bakes it's biscuits on site every morning. Many tasty breakfast items there but I enjoy Jack i/t Box more often because of their all day breakfast. More places should offer it!

Wendy's used to great breakfast. It had Biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, and other breakfast eats. Burger Kings doesn't even't use real cheese. It won't melt.

I have eaten 3 eggs a day on average for over 50 years, I'll eat a pound of bacon, ham, or sausage and taters with em. I kill 2 Wendy's baconator breakfast sandwiches if I don't feel like cooking breakfast before work.

The best breakfast sandwich is Wawa’s sausage egg and cheese on a bagel! Not greasy like McDonald’s and you don’t feel like crap after like McDonald’s
Get some English muffins, eggs, and sliced cheese from the store. Fry an egg over easy or medium or hard - however you like it. Throw a slice of cheese on top. Butter that muffin good and stick that fried egg with cheese in there. Congrats, you're a winner.

A&W and Tim Hortons do really nice breakfast sandwiches/wraps (just remember to ask for mayo or they’re a bit dry) Sad they didn’t make the list. Both also do All day breakfast! Hello from Canada!
Definitely.... I always have to put my own mayo as they don't and won't. All they do is brush them with a smidge of butter but way better alternatives to English Muffins.

I do everything bagels with 4 slices of habanero Jack, 4 strips of bacon and 2 eggs split between two bagels
That is what I do most of the time. Imagine this: I take 16 oz of Bass Farms Hot Sausage (NC) and make 6 patties, cook and place them between large biscuits. Each patty starts out at 2.66 oz and probably cooks down to 2.5, larger than the fast food offerings. That costs about 75 cents each. 2 cups of coffee costs about 20-25 cents each. 5 days out of 6, the biscuits just take 30 sec in the microwave. Cooking at home can be better, as well as less costly.
Absolutely. If you are in a rush, cook up some sausages, eggs or whatever you like and make some breakfast sandwiches or taquitos or whatever to grab in the morning. I used to do that when I worked outside the house

The Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is absolutely heavenly. I am so sad that I now live where there is not a Whataburger within many many miles. Not just for the chicken biscuit but for the regular burgers too. McGriddle? no thanks.

When you live in Midwest, lol. What’s a sonic? Starbucks? Jack in the box? We grow and cook food they hopefully buy.
The Mcgriddle and the McDonald’s Breakfast wraps are great. A&W has the Classic Egg cheese and sausage McMuffin as well. So when ya can’t get the McDonald’s one, the A&W is a nice replacement.

The Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit at Wendy's is great. That with bacon is my goto order during Wendy's breakfast. I don't live in a state with a Whataburger anymore and Wendy's offering is the second best I've ever had. No other fast food chain offers it and the taste is comparable to plenty of restaurants.
The white castle breakfast sliders are pretty good.

Fast food prices have gone insane ever since late January 2021 for some mysterious reason.
Even White Castle's sausage egg and cheese on a bun is amazing. They actually cook the eggs fresh
I don't eat bacon-pork-but not many restaurants offer chicken or turkey bacon. I end up ordering a vegetarian item instead. Most offer too much fat, sodium, or even sugar.
Starbucks can't concentrate on making fresh coffee and fresh eggs. 😊

A note about the "sketchy eggs" at Burger King. They only look sketchy. Unless they've changed it since I worked there, they used real eggs, and we had a special mold that you poured the eggs into to give them that shape while they cooked, they were long rectangle so they could be easily folded.
BK Crossanwiches are a great breakfast on the go, and getting fresh hash brown tots with it is a must.
BK is the only fast food place I worked in my younger days that I will still eat there. Mcdonald's is just nasty...

Growing up, Burger Kings - Sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was my go to favorite breakfast sammich. Then about a yr ago (don't judge, I'm weird lol) I finally got around to trying McDonalds - Sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle. Which is now my favorite breakfast sammich, I will admit part of that is prolly due to the burger king near me was crap when it came to quality control before they closed down for good.
The pastries and sandwiches from Starbucks always taste like they get them from that glass display case
That is because the Starbucks pasteries and meals ship frozen and those sandwich’s that are toasted they actually just ship toast and hand it to you .

No mention of Dairy Queen, they cook their folded eggs out of liquid eggs, real sausage from purnells, and bacon like you buy in the store.
