Cracker Barrel in my home town isn’t at all impressive . Went there upon its opening , really liked it . Didn’t go for several years , then my last two visits were very disappointing . In fact, no plans to return .

I went to denny's yesterday, I had an hour to eat, I ordered and I had to go back to work before I got a single thing I ordered, the waitress had the nerve to demand I pay for my coffee, I told her to pound sand, they couldn't even try an egg in an hour, I had to return to work without eating, I will never go to another denny's as long as I live
Dennys 🍳 in metro Orlando FL literally have only 1 or 2 employees. Even Mon to Fri! 800am! 😲 .... it's crazy. The food quality has picked up. IHOP is ⬇️. Peach Valley Cafe is a decent Orlando chain.
I would seriously rate Denny's higher than IHOP. Food at IHOP came to the table with ice crystals. Toast was not toast - bread soaked in melted butter. Neither meal was edible. Denny's food at least comes to the table hot. I'm picking Cracker Barrel as the best. Have never been disappointed.
Cracker Barrel's buttermilk pancakes are absolutely incredible. As is their Cracker Barrel brand of syrup. Every time I visit the one nearest me, I usually stop by their store and buy a box of their brand of pancake mix - so, I can enjoy their pancakes at home. I also love their chicken fried steak & gravy breakfast meals. One thing I wish they would do is to offer customers a choice of either toast, biscuits, or a side of silver dollar pancakes with each of their breakfast items.
Waffle House is a hangout for “Night People” and not where I want to have a sit down breakfast. Cracker Barrel is more family oriented, has real maple syrup and generous portions. I agree with another commenter that a local diner can serve you a breakfast bonanza at a reasonable price. You just have to find them.
I absolutely adore Waffle House, and yet weep that millions of Americans will never again witness the stupendously grand all you can eat, out of this world breakfast bar offered by Shoney's Big Boy. No restaurant will ever match the sheer audacity of Shoney's weekend breakfast bar.
Waffle House wins gold again and it’s not surprising because most locations have seasoned vets running the kitchen and you get to witness it first hand! Hats off to Waffle House and there legendary hash browns that are to me the reason I will always go back time and time again!!
Seasoned vets as in doctors who take care of animals? The last time I ate at Waffle House, we all had to run to the car to find a place with a decent restroom. That's how quick the shit hit the fan after we ate. NEVR will we ever return to Aweful Waffle.
Waffle house is just down the road from Huddle house in my small town. It's hard to say which one serves better food. But locals have their favorite servers. 🥞
For price, you can't beat Waffle House. And they serve all first responders 24/7 in areas hit by disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes or floods and I respect their management for that.
I ate breakfast (grand slam) at a Denny’s in Milwaukee last month. It was unbelievably good. Especially the buttermilk pancakes. I was surprised bc I hadn’t eaten there in 10+ years.
Only Dillard's in North Ga. is worse. Denny's used to be 1/2 decent, but horrible food and service has been typical lately. Forget the Varsity in Atlanta. It might appeal to the homeless, truckers, and those who don't know what decent food should taste like. Cracker Barrel was a disappointment. People were smoking in the non-smoking area and no one was correcting them. The food was bearable,, but sometimes uncooked or unripe. The gift shop was full of home like gifts made in China. The only things not made there were food items like jellies and old candies. I've only been to First Watch once-not bad. I wish we had a Bob Evans here instead of Denny's. I tried them in Ohio and liked them. Huddle and Waffle House are too much alike-cheap. IHOP was better.
I live in Bakersfield, CA and have dined at several of the many Denny's locations scattered throughout town. The experience is ALWAYS a disappointment. It's not their fault, it's mine for giving them one last chance.
I loved old school Waffle House....your server would bring you coffee, take your order, cook it, bring it to you, all while smoking a Marlboro red....good ol times....
You apparently have not been to Jackson Mississippi locations. Complete dirty shitholes with marijuana smoke in the air inside and employees high as a kite. Pack a gun, you'll likely need it.
@@kevinmccool3719 It's all about the management. Kids are in charge and their friends are the hired help. So anything goes. Get high along with them and whatever they cook will taste good.😉

In our town we had a I Hop movie house bought them out! We had a Perkins they closed. We have no chain breakfast places. We do have family restaurants and Bella cafe and other places that offer breakfast! Panera Bread and we also have small business local offerings. McDonalds of course.
You can't bring up price for breakfast when it's by a very very far margin the most profitable, aside from maybe pizza also having huge margins/profits. The fact you can get an entire meal with carbs protein etc for under $10 means it's not expensive LOL if you were to buy the butter, flour, syrup, eggs, bacon, potatoes you are not getting it for the same price as you would at ihop. You may get more for your money, AKA a better deal buying everything at the store since it's much larger quantities, but if you're looking for a meal not feeding dozens of people there's really no comparison
@TOM at cracker barrel you can. Ihop you can get everything but the hash browns for under $10. Bacon, eggs, pancakes $9 and change. Barrel can get all under $10 ;)
Glad to see that Waffle House is getting some much deserved credit! I love there breakfast and the burgers are really good as well! But the show stopper as far as I am concerned is there hash browns!
I don't know, man- each time I've eaten there, the food has been so greasy that I spent the rest of the day sitting on the throne... It DOES taste pretty good, though- and it's always fun to watch the servers just bellow out your order to the cook, and he always gets it right!
Remember ANY chain restaurant is only as good as the local manager and crew. That's why these LISTS are useless. Check out your own area restaurant and then decide. Here in OK, Jimmy's Egg is the best.
if you go to Denny's get the whole grain pancakes, you can get it with the Grand Slam, they are much better than the regular pancakes. Also you can order fruit with it for a little extra, it is a good deal and more healthy. i get eggs poached, fruit and hash browns, it is a good breakfast. I do not recommend the coffee though but it might have just been a bad timing- I guess it was old or something. They serve breakfast all day. i know Cracker barrel may be good but if you do not eat sausage and bacon it seems you pay for it anyways, is that true? is there a cheaper non meat option like I get at Denny's?
Perkins has always been the best for me. I never knew it was a small chain until a few years ago. For $10 I get 3 giant pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon or sausages, toast and fruit. You can’t beat that
Love Denny's breakfast! Cracker Barrel is great too! i find local family owned places here where i live are a great breakfast too. Don't be so picky.. enjoy what you have or just don't eat breakfast out. Life is good if you let it happen .
Half the places I don't know. Waffle House is the place where I and my buds went to at 3:00 AM after drinking too much beer. Endless cups of coffee and the greasy food were just what we needed!
Remember the Denny's run when the bars all closed. Moons over MyHammy was the goto. Nowadays don't even look for them. Village Inn .... only thing ever went there for were their pies on Thanksgiving.

Dude waffle house is easy to make at home lol.
The Waffle House steak and egg meal is to die for. It's the meal of astronauts. Tons of protein.
On the Canadian east coast, The Big Stop restaurant chain is a great place for an all day breakfast.
Le peep is the best tasting breakfast I’ve ever had. Didn’t know it was a chain tho
I used to eat breakfast there every Sunday when I lived in Denver in the early 90's
Golden Corral has an awesome breakfast buffet on the weekend . The location quality varies.
Waffle House is my go-to stop on my 3 day road trips. Longest wait I ever had was 5 minutes for my coffee and the Manager came out to apologize.
It’s so dirty in there tho yuck
I went to denny's yesterday, I had an hour to eat, I ordered and I had to go back to work before I got a single thing I ordered, the waitress had the nerve to demand I pay for my coffee, I told her to pound sand, they couldn't even try an egg in an hour, I had to return to work without eating, I will never go to another denny's as long as I live
I worked at Perkins and briefly a Village Inn back in the 90s. A little surprised either of those chains still has open locations.
Recant those words on Denny's!
Congragulations! You have managed to get every canadian in existence out of our nice forms!!!
The Denny's in my area is wonderful, and we have no Tim Hortons.
Dennys 🍳 in metro Orlando FL literally have only 1 or 2 employees. Even Mon to Fri! 800am! 😲 .... it's crazy. The food quality has picked up. IHOP is ⬇️. Peach Valley Cafe is a decent Orlando chain.
@@DavidLLambertmobile What do you think of Waffle House?
I was out in Tennessee last January on a fishing trip and tried out a Huddle House… Great breakfast 🍳
Love Le Peep, Village Inn, Perkin's, Waffle House & Mimi's (expensive). They are all really good but I my first choice is Cracker Barrel every time!
Never had breakfast at Cracker Barrel but the other food items suck, especially the pot roast.
Every time I visit the one nearest me, I usually stop by their store and buy a box of their brand of pancake mix - so, I
can enjoy their pancakes at home.
You just have to find them.
me either
I absolutely adore Waffle House, and yet weep that millions of Americans will never again witness the stupendously grand all you can eat, out of this world breakfast bar offered by Shoney's Big Boy. No restaurant will ever match the sheer audacity of Shoney's weekend breakfast bar.
Totally Agree!!
We still have a shoneys here and they still do the breakfast buffet
I love Black Bear diner. They have the best pancakes hands down. Everything there is good and made in house. That’s the difference.
Every time I go to Cracker Barrell I find the breakfast menu with a wide variety.
I order from the breakfast menu regardless of what time of day I go. Was just there the other day, ordered gramdma's breakfast.
Interesting. I haven't heard of most of these places!
I love Denny’s!
There are multiple Waffle Houses near by. They are NOT comfortable, the staff is NOT friendly, they are NOT clean and they allow smoking.
Waffle House wins gold again and it’s not surprising because most locations have seasoned vets running the kitchen and you get to witness it first hand! Hats off to Waffle House and there legendary hash browns that are to me the reason I will always go back time and time again!!
Best in middle of the night after drinking heavily
@@iampoe824 smothered covered peppered!
Thank yall from waffle house 1793 Arkansas
I love working for waffle house lol
Seasoned vets as in doctors who take care of animals? The last time I ate at Waffle House, we all had to run to the car to find a place with a decent restroom. That's how quick the shit hit the fan after we ate. NEVR will we ever return to Aweful Waffle.
I like the grand slam,thank you.🇺🇸🐻
I agree, Cracker Barrel in Frackville, PA was fantastic! We went there many time visiting the old stomping grounds.
Waffle house is just down the road from Huddle house in my small town. It's hard to say which one serves better food. But locals have their favorite servers. 🥞
Dennys got too disrespected, they have a way better breakfast than ihop!
You're right.. Denny's is also better priced
The turning point restaurant is excellent!
Waffle House will make ANYTHING you ask for if they have the ingredients.
Except pancakes.
Love Cracker Barrel
For price, you can't beat Waffle House. And they serve all first responders 24/7 in areas hit by disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes or floods and I respect their management for that.
Chick-fil-A helped citizens and first responders after a really big tornado hit. Neither MD or BK came to help them.
Waffle House is an Icon. Love their coffee.
I ate breakfast (grand slam) at a Denny’s in Milwaukee last month. It was unbelievably good. Especially the buttermilk pancakes. I was surprised bc I hadn’t eaten there in 10+ years.
I agree! Maybe Denny"s wouldn't sponsor the video???
Waffle house rocks. Almost without fail and I've been to them all around the country the Staff and food is awesome.
I loved old school Waffle House....your server would bring you coffee, take your order, cook it, bring it to you, all while smoking a Marlboro red....good ol times....
Love Waffle House. The quality of the service varies tho
Get high along with them and whatever they cook will taste good.😉
Waffle House might look like a simple greasy spoon diner (because it is), but their food is surprisingly and consistently good
I feel your reading wise tour and I say it's wise operating room!
Im sad Marie calanders wasn’t included
This list tells me that it’s too bad I don’t live down south lol ... I’m in NYC though so there’s definitely plenty options...but I now know where to go when I visit my family in Florida 🤗
Original pancake house is my fave in south miami~~ I have never had a problem……the pancakes are pretty good! They are not all the same…..its a franchise! I normally order the bacon & eggs which comes with 3 tasty pancakes…. Lately my fave has been the Dutch baby!! Omg!! Its soo good! I have the most fantastic waitress (Jill)… i have been going here for years & will continue to do so…..
So good!
In our town we had a I Hop movie house bought them out! We had a Perkins they closed. We have no chain breakfast places. We do have family restaurants and Bella cafe and other places that offer breakfast! Panera Bread and we also have small business local offerings. McDonalds of course.
Since WHEN did prices at IHOP become affordable???
Always, but that’s subjective
Barrel can get all under $10 ;)
About 7:30 , "youll be able to feed a whole broad of humans."
🤔😂🤣
Glad to see that Waffle House is getting some much deserved credit! I love there breakfast and the burgers are really good as well! But the show stopper as far as I am concerned is there hash browns!
HELL YEAH .... Scattered, smothered, chunked, diced and covered !
*are *their
Go read a book.
I don't know, man- each time I've eaten there, the food has been so greasy that I spent the rest of the day sitting on the throne... It DOES taste pretty good, though- and it's always fun to watch the servers just bellow out your order to the cook, and he always gets it right!
@@nathangursky4628 He loves there breakfast, I love here breakfast.
@@nathangursky4628 Go eat some breakfast!!
Love Perkins!!! Their pancakes have awesome flavor!
Remember ANY chain restaurant is only as good as the local manager and crew. That's why these LISTS are useless. Check out your own area restaurant and then decide. Here in OK, Jimmy's Egg is the best.
Cracker Barrel A+..
❤️👌👍💯
I haven't heard of half these places
Me neither, coming from a Floridian.
if you go to Denny's get the whole grain pancakes, you can get it with the Grand Slam, they are much better than the regular pancakes.
Thank god they mentioned Waffle House it is awesome!!!!!
I miss when Denny’s, Perkins, Village Inn used to smell like coffee and cigarettes in the morning. Mmmmmmmmm good. Instant appetite.
Love cracker barrel and IHOP . been going to IHOP for year's
Breakfast is the easiest thing to make well at home
Half the places I don't know. Waffle House is the place where I and my buds went to at 3:00 AM after drinking too much beer. Endless cups of coffee and the greasy food were just what we needed!
Remember the Denny's run when the bars all closed. Moons over MyHammy was the goto. Nowadays don't even look for them. Village Inn .... only thing ever went there for were their pies on Thanksgiving.
