    I just found your channel and so glad I did. I am a very beginner cook and have been attempting recipes and found. I struggle most with prepping the ingredients while following a recipe. It also makes sense to have the pan hot before adding food! Game changer.. but recipes don’t typically tell you that!

    I like how approachable you make cooking and your attitude about it that makes it less intimidating. I know I need to learn how to cook but am so resistant to it. I'd like to see this channel grow. Do you have a series of beginner's tips and skills? I watched the video about cooking for beginners but didn't really know where to go from there.

      Thank you for the compliment. I know where you are coming from, cooking gets easier the more you do it. Practice makes perfect lol and it so true.     my struggle is when to add seasoning, I find different things require different seasoning at different times! :D

      Totally understand that! I salt all meat before I start cooking typically and that add seasoning to rice, soups, braised etc at the end that way its perfect when served.

    2:53 Maillard reaction, took me a bit to find that word. I still call it caramelization but google says it's different. 🔥🌴

      Morton Kosher Salt! Way better than diamond.

      Morton also has a sea salt. Super affordable and very tasty. Crystals are bigger than table salt, but not as big as kosher salt.

      The best is the most recent cold expelled pressed date. It can be years out but if you can get the last fall season that typically is the best.
