I loved how the show poked fun at the fact that they had two Beckys. Especially the first episode where Lecy returned and Roseanne was like, "It seems like you have been gone for three years."
Which is thx episode where Sarah Chalke shows up (not as Becky) with the boy at the door?

@@littlesongbird1thst Halloween episode was a tribute to Jerry Garcia who has just passed away at the time and the baby got called jerry Garcia Connor and also why the episode makes absolutely zero sense
I love it when Lecy starts to crack up when she says, “ Why does everyone keep saying that to me?” Lol 😆
The way they handled this on the show was absolute genius. I especially love the end of the first episode Sara Chalke was in when she says the line about liking the second Darren better. Pure genius.
My fav is when they show DJ as an adult in a mental home (played by Goodman) muttering the same line over and over, "They say she's the same but she's not the same." Gold.
I remember when I saw that episode for the first time, I couldn’t figure out what was going on. I burst into laughter when they showed the montage of both Beckys!
Sarah Chalke never had that rebellious spark in her eyes that was Becky.
Sarah Chalke is going to be more remember as Elliott from Scrubs.

@@rocket2386I have been saying that for years ever since they replaced her. Lecy had the the attitude and while Sarah had the looks much prettier and taller not that Lacy wasn’t pretty because she was I used to have a crush on her. Sarah just didn’t have the teenage sass that the original Becky had. But I still loved both was so much fun watching both play the part

She actually broke character
IMHO Lecy Gorensen is a very underrated actress. She brings even more depth to the role now as an adult -- you can 'see' all the background that is only spoken of, in her eyes and hear it in her voice. Meanwhile I can't see "Darlene" as a divorced single mom, she still reeks of bratty teen.
yeah a more realistic storyline for older Darlene would have been "David" having full custody of their only child and Darlene busy with getting different useless degrees.

I love how they added this to the comedy...the ending when Mark shows up haha they both were amazing the first Becky growing up always wanted nice clothes and nice everything
Both Beckys have pretty smiles.
The second Becky did not fit in to that sort of family at all.
But for the show it was great. She was a really pretty girl and a perfect combination with Johnny Galecki. They both played more sophisticated characters.
The second Becky was much prettier but the first Becky her acting was better much more attitude that fit with the rest of the cast. None the less, they were both great actors and actually enjoyed them both.

The 2nd Becky was a ditz..and you felt bad when Darlene made fun of her.
Becky #1 was a moody witch so it was welcomed when Darlene burst her bubble

Sarah Chalke is an incredible actress, and was perfect on Scrubs. It was definitely weird to have 2 Becky's lol...but they did what they could with the situation.
I love at 1:30 the call to theatre and the way they announce the Sarah Chalke coming back to the show, 😁😁😁😁😁.

Becky became too much of an airhead bimbo when Chalke took over. She was like Marilyn in *The Munsters,* never quite fitting in with the Conners.
First Becky was Terrific:great actress and prettier.
The second belonged on SCRUBS alone.

It would have been seen as mean spirited since the original mom left on bad terms. The Becky jokes work because both actresses were still involved with the series.
I think Jazzy Jeff says something in the first episode of the intro of the second mom.

Lecy left the show to go to College, I never understood why they didn't just say Becky had gone away to College and just wrote the character out for a couple of seasons, rather than getting a replacement

Considering what happened when Chandler Riggs did the same, it could have been much worse.
They did write the character out when she ran away with Mark, Sarah Chalke was hired when the show wanted to use the Becky character but Lecy was able to appear.

Sarah wasn't anything like Lecy. Sarah seemed to just say her lines. She didn't put in any effort on being like Lecy's Becky. Sarah was there just to fill Lecy's absent.
What was the point of changing actresses? Why not just say Becky was away like other shows do to missing actors? Lecy is perfect.

And worst: this was head-and-shoulders the cleanest transfer of that show open.
It’s amazing to me how completely god awful Sarah Chalke was as Becky but how completely AWESOME she was in Scrubs.
This was awesome, especially the last part - where'd that come from. And if you think this is crazy, check out 'Til Death, where there are 4 girls playing the same daughter (and joked about it as well)

The simple truth was that the saga of the two Beckys had nothing at all to do with any strife on set. The urban legends that this all spawned were hilarious. Also, the original series finale should have stayed the way it was.. especially with it having been she had "swapped" the couplings. Mark and Darlene always seemed much more likely than him and Becky, and the same for David and Becky.

Fake Becky was never the Becky we grew up with. Fake Becky was too glamorous whereas our Becky was the girl next door. The actress that played fake Becky created a completely different character. I thought it was a slap in the face to the fans. The writers could have just said that Becky was away at school. Which in real life was true.
Lecy Goranson was definitely the better Becky.

I love both Beckys. I thought the perfect re cast would have been Charlotte Ross, ( payed Connie McDowell on NYPD Blue,,,,played bitchy Antoinette on Empty Nest,,,, played cocky Lori Valpone on Beggars and Choosers,,,,played troubled teen Eve Donovan(#1) on Days of our Lives) but I love Sarah, I think she’s amazing ❤️ and did an amazing job!

At my health club in my home town I saw this girl of whom I said to her you know you look like the new Becky on Roseanne she then threw down the pen of which she used to sign in while laughing and said "Everybody tells me that but I don't even watch that."I then saw her one more time nearby at the Pharmacy where she worked but then never again.I don't even know if she even ever got prompted to watch it as a result later on.
The original Becky was better in terms of how she related to the others on the show. She was real, and you could feel the frustration of being an overachiever in a lower middle-class family.
But Sarah Chalke was at peak hot factor when she was on Roseanne. So I didn't mind seeing her episode to episode as Becky #2. 😂

In my opinion both Becky's were defined by each actress. Leci is Becky for sure but it was written well for both.

Sarah Chalke is also Beth Sanchez Smith on Rick and Morty Sarah and Lecy had great lines I Feel the first Becky is to spoiled but she is calming down somewhat and the second Becky nail it at times she overdid it when Chalke was playing Becky She was more calmer then the first Becky but the Two Becky's have an great clothing choices as well I seen scrubs As well and Sarah Chalke is hell of an actress as well .

The show just got bad when the other Becky came on. It was already heading downhill but Chalke sealed the deal.
Lecy's second stint as Becky was terrible. Her voice sounded weird and she seemed doped up. Sarah's Becky wasn't as good as Lecy's first stint, but it was better than her second.

Sarah never quite nailed the rebellious, bratty side of Becky. I don't think it was the actresses' fault though. They just watered down the Becky role a lot at the time.

Why did they keep changing?
I think the first Becky went off to college.
Lecy went to college so they brought on Sarah. Then Lecy returned but she was commuting back and forth across the country and it got to be too much hassle so Sarah came back. Glad they brought Lecy back for the reboot.
Season 10 was absolute shite, since they made the Darlene character nothing like herself. And the rest was also shit.
