    I had a small pre-formed pond that I installed at a rental that I lived at. My place was no more than ½ mile from a river that ran through the city. I had a pair of mallard ducks that came into my yard just for whatever reason. After I put the pond in, they would come in during the day and would eat the bugs in my garden and just hang out in the pond. It was pretty cool!

    I've seen some places with mini skateparks or bowls or climbing walls in their backyards. I have a miniramp that doubles as a yoga deck for the wife and play area for the kids and we store exercise equipment underneath it. I'm going to add some more play stuff to it for the kids and lights and seating for night skating sessions. I'm also cladding it in bamboo so it looks good and fits into the space better. It's fun to have friends over to skate, do a BBQ, and sit around the firepit.

    GREAT Video. amazing this year added a NICE Steel Firepit that is about 30" wide and plenty deep to be able to get some nice good see logs in it, and also last a LONG time, instead of those cheap Big box store pits that rust out about every 2yrs. I catch myself just sitting by it for hours, and even enjoy splitting the wood it needs to burn. thanks for more great ideas

    This is the best video I've ever watched for outdoor ideas. Very informative and interesting. Too bad I live near a swamp area so I won't be able to enjoy the outdoors because too many creatures want our blood lol. Thanks for these great videos!!

      @@BackyardDesignGuy I agree, I used to live next to the Niger river in Mali and we had tons of mosquitoes, lizards and birds around and some crazy heat but we still had a lot of fun outside. One time I found a monitor lizard (3ft long) hanging out in the pool!

    Hi I love your videos. Can you make videos about water lights or stepping pathways with water in between of around them?

  • @AfrikQ10
    @AfrikQ10 3 года назад

    A movie projector screen or TV in my backyard space is a nice idea. The water feature should include the fish 🐟pond and the 🐦🦜bird feeders around there. I really like the solid path ways, and or rocks/ stones types. For privacy I like the shrubs and plants in those areas. These should include the patios ideas. Perhaps the front yard with a gazebo should be where the water features and birds will be around.

    Here are a few mistakes that new home owners make:
    1. The new home owner chops down all the bushes because they’re too “woody”.
    2. The new homeowner plants various trees directly in front of the house. Trees and shrubs should emphasize the house, not obstruct it.
    3. People plant without regard to orientation of the yard or sunlight exposure.
    4. People plant individual plants without any idea what the garden or yard will look like as a whole.

    Very nice yards. But you must live some place with little or no crime. If I put a tv outside it would be gone in a week.
