As far as I know, lumary's new MAX eave lights can each support independent control, and what's more amazing is that their 5 in 1 bead RGB+WW+CW beads are all assembled on a bead, which you can buy to compare with eufy eave lights, You'll be surprised at the results!
Excellent explanation and video. At the 8:15mark you ran a 14g iwire for power injection, you just connected the 14g wire to the very end of your your LED lights right? you dint daisy chain like to 100ft and then connect the other set of lights the the 14g wire to extend am i correct. Essentially you powered the led light strip from the beginning and also at the very end of the light strip? Can the Wled controller be integrated with matter/zigbee o integrate to Homekit or homeassistant? Also can this be done with a LED light strip, have you come across a product or lightstrips that can be used and also have the same usecases as you do. thanks for taking the time
I was looking for a video like this! I need some perimeter security lights that double as holiday/party lights. this would work for me, thank you for this video and idea
I'm planning on buying three sets of the 100 ft E120. Can all of them be connected in one strand using WLED and the power injection methods you shared? Thanks!
@@BreakItYourself Is there a max distance between LED pucks? I'm having distance issues between LED pucks. I've verified all strands work with stock Eufy controllers but if wired with WLED controller, the power source you recommended, and wiring description, I'm still having issues with a 20 ft distance between pucks. Thanks for your help.
Where do the power supply and LED controller sit? I'm assuming you have a home lab of some sort, or is there a weatherproof box at the end of the run outside?
I just continued the string from the fence onto the swing set then back to the fence as one continuous string. So essentially the swing set is an out and back loop in the fence string. I used the same clamps and no issues with the kids yet.
I want to do this with the YPS track kit on my fence. But I need 410 feet of lights and idk which power supply or controller would safely work for that long of a run. Plus it would be stupid expensive for me. Sad day.
Im confused and it’s my lack of tech knowledge. Simple question can I hook up (3) 50’ and have them work with each other simultaneously with no issues. Without all the fancy little boxes u have? Thanks in advance
You shouldn't power inject both ends toward each other or it conflicts. You should find the center and cut off the + copper pad so each line strip is receiving equal power but not colliding in the center.
I agree, EUFY should have told him not to back-feed both ends with two separate power supplies. DUMB, Darwin award time! Both power supplies are most likely fighting each other. No worries soon the lights in the backyard will be the fence burning, which will not require electricity. With any luck, those switching power supplies will shut-down from overheating or overloading. I hope this guy has never modified any wiring in his house. Instead of his channel being called “BIY, Break-It-Yourself, it should mean “Burn-It-Down Yourself”.

EUFY’s customer support seems non-existent for the camera setup you mention. People should remember a YT Influencer that’s supported by the product company is the new way to push sales. This is basically a long commercial, marketing no longer needs TV or radio.
Let me tell you smart guy these lights are a nightmare!! My neighbor has these stupid lights 9 ft up in her tree. They are so flipping bright it lights up my entire yard! There are many counties that have an ordinance against light pollution, just like offensive noise and smells. Go a head and make your neighbors hate you.
@@tracydean3678 Well time to play that game. Install a chinese daylight flood light and point it at her windows as long as it lights up your yard a little bit. :)

Find a 3D printed bracket for your model. I bought specifically printed 3D brackets for my Govee permanent lights and they are amazing.
I'm looking for these for Govee 2s - where did you find yours?

How much does this add to the electric bill?
basically nothing

Weatherproof box. It’s linked in the description.
How did you get power to the swing set and did you use similar clamps to secure the wire so the kids don’t mess with it?

Did it come with extension cords. How many lights to inject power .

you injected power to both the end & beginning? do you have any diagram of how this looks?

Why the hell would i want to wow my neighbors. I hate them.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 maybe they’ll be so wowed that they’re ashamed of their lighting and move away

Clickbait. It’s not DIY
I’m watching this guy putting these up in his own backyard, troubleshooting, etc. what are you talking about.
@ the lights are bought, it is not DIY
Did you ask your neighbour for permission before sitting something over their side of the fence
No. The fence is on top of a retaining wall inside my property line. There are double fences on two sides also.
Looks tacky without hiding the spot light directly after the led
Looks like I’d be annoyed by it if I was a neighbor.
you might consider living off grid in the woods, then 😅
