i had some huge coleus plants i cut off about 10 cuttings from them stuck them in soil kept them watered and they prospered wonderfully!! so i know for a fact this works you dont have to put them in water and wait for roots, I kept mine in the shade full time they are a shade plant..My favorite of all time plant!!
I've been able to get good roots using just water, but I pinch off those bottom leaves and just leave the growth nodes. Rather than waste the plant's energy on trying to feed those bottom leaves, which are just going to turn brown and fall off anyway, it goes right to the growth nodes. I'll even cut the top growth off sometimes if it's a long stalk so it doesn't get too leggy
Wag nyo po paarawan coz it will lower the chance of mabuhay if maari sa di po maaraw(open area) mine po namatay nung una kopong propagation kasi po naarawann
If you put in direct sun it will fade the color and possibly sunburn with this variety. Filtered bright sun outside is best or sunny window. The color is most vibrant in partial shade.
You needed to prune off all the bottom leaves to propagate in water :)
Yes exactly. Atleast 3 nodes should be there from the bottom of the stem

You should have pulled the bottom leaves off.
did you change the water frequently for the water propagation?
My colious cutting leaves dried in 5 days. Is they grow further or not
Peal thoes bottom leaves off for water.
Mine often start to root without 2 days in water.
My coleus leaves get black when I grow them in water
Any reason?
Used tap water at first but later switched to filtered RO water
same here?...do you kow why?
my tap water has too much salt because of softner

I was told tap water has fluoride in it ....not the best for plants ... using natural or distilled helps in root growth!
Too much leaves on plant.need to remove some of the bottom ones
I use purified water my tap water has too much salt
mine gas too much chloride and calcium ..
I prefer to propagate coleus on water because in my experience it has 100% success rate1 than soil propagation.
I use rain water.
Me aswell! Ah rain water that's cool,is it better than tap?
this video has no talking and does not show you much at all. disappointing
