      With a thermarest underneath, and a sea to summit liner it does a great job but alone, it gets rough below 30° F.

    Great, detailed review. And it cant get much more tested and proven than every day use in conditions tougher than most of us watching this will ever put it through.
    Keep on keeping on! 🤙

    Sew in some small velcro strips to secure your phone (Walmart)
    I know you wanna do the van life... have you looked into why a lot of people prefer the Toyota Prius over a van?
    50mpg so a lot cheaper to do long trips if that's your goal. Reliable.. and you can run the AC off of the hybrid battery to sleep comfy at night in warmer temps.
    Great vids.. you've got talent keep it up.

    • @JSUrbanAdventures
      @JSUrbanAdventures  4 года назад +2

      The reason I would prefer a van over a Prius is just space for the few possessions I have. Prius to small, RV to big, van=perfect for me lol

    If it’s 20° out in the mountains what should I do?
    Thermal underwear? Socks . Will that help? Or do I need to get a 20° sleepbag liner thing? To make it warmer.

    • @JSUrbanAdventures
      @JSUrbanAdventures  4 года назад +1

      I use Under Armor tops and bottoms, wool socks, sweatpants and sweatshirt(cotton is not recommended but all I have so I use them) then a water proof outer layer(jacket and pants). This sleeping bag, a liner, a sleeping pad, all contained In a waterproof bivy sack. 20° wont be super cold why your busy so if you start sweating remove layers, the last thing you want is to get wet from snow/sweat. Be sure you have protection from the cold ground while you sleep. With a good sleeping system you will stay warm in just the under armor, and just keep moving in the day to stay warm.

    • @JSUrbanAdventures
      @JSUrbanAdventures  5 лет назад +5

      They'll hire anyone lol but really, being homeless isn't something your interviewer even needs to know, if you travel light and stash your stuff during the interview and clean yourself up and dress appropriately, and if u have a valid address they can use for your paper work, there's no reason you need to tell them your homeless, and once your hired their not gonna fire you for showing up carrying a duffle bag and a backpack(or whatever baggage you carry)

    get a used van with cng. I got one with 50,000 for $3500. why so cheep. a lot of agencies don't put many miles on these vehicles and the tanks expire in 15 years. you don't have to replace them because they are not work out since they never had the billing cycles not having been driven much.
    plus cng is cheaper than gas and a lot cleaner.
