    Though no single muscle (or pair of muscles like QL) should be held accountable for low back pain, if you do have low back pain, the QL muscle is likely to be tight. QL is generally grumpy on the side of the lumbar spine where there is pain. This class will teach you the imagery of anatomy so you can visualize your QL muscle, and breathe to it while inviting it to relax. In addition to understandable anatomy, it incorporates somatic yoga, yoga therapy and myofacial release. Please have a thick blanket, a few tennis sized balls or smaller (and softer!), a heavy bolster or even a book to place on your back, and a slo-mo ball if you have it.

    Thank you! I sooooo needed exactly that. And I just want to say, there are so many videos claiming to help back pain and yet yogis are throwing their legs over their shoulders. This promised and delivered.

    Thank you so much for pointing me to this practice. I sincerely believe it's going to be a game-changer in my toolkit for managing low back and hip pain and pelvic floor dysfunction (especially while traveling overseas next month) and also releasing everything this chronically grumpy right QL has been holding hostage...shoulder/neck tension, pelvic tilt issues, the left hip flexor that's still sore from a tear last year...everything is connected and I'm so grateful for the deep, healing release I just experienced.

    Hello Megan in Cork. I just found your channel. I have spondyloltheis in lower back. And wonder if you have any suggestions what would be helpful in your extensive playlist video that addresses this especially anterior tilt and pelvic torsion.Thank you so much-

      Thanks for commenting and asking. I have quite a few videos for SI dysfunction that help with torsion and hip hike. I also have a who playlist for low back care. A specific movement that is good is the arch and curl and clock face pelvis and you will find those in my March Madness videos. Happy healing!

    Megan Our nerves can effect our over well-being, i have rib pain so both effect me, i have some nerve damage from 1981, brain injury, a couple of years ago i had shingles that left me with more nerve damage in my upper ribs and lower so my midsection is tensed more than iliket, breathing can help some, but, have you seen any healing.
    i have a very hard time in my mind watching to long of a video, and many of yours are in my mind, what would you suggest?

    i did this, it didnt help as much as i thought, so i did a somatic one which helped and a few others because i had more tensions, but, if your interested I will share that with you ,for your tight QL, Megan?
