I just got back from Barcelona, and I’ve never seen so many beautiful women in one city. They were all natural, hardly any makeup, hair was natural, it was a world I wish we in the States could go back to
16 years old getting lip injections is wild. And I would bet my life savings Kylie had stuff done before that even. Terrible parenting to say the least
While I do think Kylie was deceitful, I also think anyone who thought those lips were real were naive. I was a teen when the lips kits dropped. I remember seeing side by side comparisons of her face and being very aware she had work done. People who believed she was natural just didn't look at the facts. Just because she lied doesn't mean we couldn't see the writing on the wall. Which was there. Yes, the Kardashians have been the beauty standards. But if you look at any old photos on the internet, it was/is easy to see how much they had to manipulate even themselves to meet the standard. I stopped comparing myself to a bunch of plastic frogs a while ago, and I genuinely don't care about beauty trends now. It's been really freeing.
THIS. I also was a teenager when Kylie was very, very popular (and also her lipstick) but I NEVER thought that I would look like her if I buy this product. Idk how naive you have to be to believe that, especially when there's TONS of "before and after" photos of her on the internet. Even at that time, it was more than obvious she had work done from literally head to toes. Also (and I could be wrong) I never seen her advertising her lipstick by saying "If you buy this, your lips will look like mine!" So... who's there to blame??
This is reminiscent of Oprah's Ozempic use. After all, it took her only a few (!) decades to admit to it. Even if the billionaire lady apologised, I wonder what that means to someone who's still overweight after years of following the WeightWatchers crap she promoted.
Lol.. you're silly.. So some woman dies her hair it says no it's my natural but then you go and try to replicate it and it didn't turn out good so you're going to sue her do you hear how stupid you sound
You're fucking clueless. (!!). Her makeup line literally has a lip plumper which exists in other makeup lines. And ANNOUNCED she was going off fillers while pregnant.
she preyed on young kids with her products who likely didn't even know what fillers were, before she eventually confessed to and popularized the procedure.
People can be so gullible and even I fell for that during that time. But luckily I wanted to have smaller lips so I never craved lipstick or a lip liner.
But Kylie did lie about not getting her lips done. She’d lie and say she only used her lip kit to get her full lips and there’s multiple interviews where she outright denies having had filler done 😂 “never denied it” Kylie PLEASE 🙄
Lip-fillers are pretty much the worst cosmetic-surgery anyone can get, it just makes everybody hideous. I don't think I've ever seen someone and thought "damn, their lips are too thin, they'd be attractive if their lips were fatter", but I HAVE thought "ugh! those lips look gross, and stop doing the stupid duck-face! 🤮"
And it scares the hell of of small children. I have a friend whose sister in law got the Mark Hamill Joker surgery (big lips & really high cheekbones) and it freaks his daughter out so bad that they don't know what to do.

If it affects her so much, then she should pull away from the spotlight and/or set boundaries and stop reading sh*t about herself. Honestly, i don't hate the Kardashian/Jenner, BUT it's great that people stopped worshipping them. They still hold a lot of influence, but at least they also get [rightfully] call out for their bs.
I agree with much of what you said. I found it super annoying that the kardashians were obviously lying about not getting work done or just not talking about it especially when using their bodies to sell products. I also think people who let the kardashians influence them need to take some responsibility for falling for it. Why do so many in our culture worship celebrities and want they have? We need to think for ourselves rather than letting pop culture and the media think for us.
Brett. I think your mistake is thinking “normal women” wanted to look like them. Anyone who goes to the extreme to look like a Kardashian.. is not “normal”

She did lie about it. She said she likes to mix different glosses and liners to make her lips appear bigger.

She 100% denied having any work done
Did you forget the shot glass challenge?? She said she sucked on a shot glass until her lips got better and many young people jumped on that bandwagon. 🤦🏻♀️

And some young people did it so much their lips burst. Meaning she caused people harm through her non-direct lies. Awful.
Brett is the Beauty standard…..beautiful modest, conservative woman
Everything about Brett makes her beautiful. My wife is 65. She was beautiful when we first met and she was 32 and she is just as beautiful today as she was in 1992. My wife uses makeup sparingly and doesn't even color her hair. I do believe her beauty comes from within as much as it does from physical appearance.
Brett Cooper will be just as beautiful 50 years from now as she is today.❤😊
Agreed.
Brett would be an ideal wife and mother😊
Got that right.
@@warwolf88 Right I cannot wait till she is ready to have kids, they'll be the cutest.

when i was a teenager i remember hearing about the kardashians everywhere and i didn’t know who they were. out of curiosity i went on instagram to see who kim was and i remember thinking to myself that i expected someone better looking for the hype that these girlies have lmao.
Take a look at Dawn Wells from Gilligans Island. She was a natural beauty. Looked fantastic well into her 70's. Not the Kardashians!!!!!!
She was always so beautiful , my favorite character ❤
@@casandra0 Definitely my favorite as well. Thanks!!!!

They was fine with the beauty standard when they were making a profit off of it at the cost of others insecurities but as soon as they’re becoming “irrelevant” they’re trying to make their audience see their “honest and genuine” side but no one is falling for their crap. You’ve changed the beauty standard for an entire generation. They want to seem very transparent now due to the current beauty standard working against while still lying to their audience. They never took interest in what their consequences would have on others. They’re so many people that have insecurities based on what they perpetrated. You reap what you sow.
Brett’s ad transitions are so good, she even chuckles a little every time 😂
She did lie tho. Once she was asked that and she said it's just her technique of over-lining the lips. She did in fact lie.
Brett your transitions into ad reads is top tier.
I don’t know what Kylie did to herself but she looks like a 45 year old woman in the new season. She has a completely different look from past seasons
It's normal to age faster when someone's had too much work done. There's a point where your body/skin etc., can't handle any more and reacts to it like trauma. She'll look 70 in 10 years.

I am getting so sick & tired of the Kardashians. And I'm getting sick & tired of them being put as role models to young children.

Same. How low must your self confidence be to look up to someone who literally does nothing?
Even when I was younger, I never wanted to go to a concert or meet them in person because to me, they were just another on the screen or the radio
I get it that people love to hate on the Ks, there is a sort of sport to it. But people need to start taking some responsibility over their own naivete, for buying the scam in the first place, for allowing themselves to be swayed by the trends. They’re called lessons, accept them, and stop blaming your problems and unhappiness on other people. Make your own way.
Women not having inherent self-esteem and confidence is to blame for this, not the Kardashians.
Too many people are desperate to blame others for their bad decisions. Girls blaming the Kardashians for this, blaming McDonalds for being fat, have some self accountability.
Agree
omg exactly everyone's blaming the influencers but being insecure by how someone else looks on the internet is your problem not theirs
"It's important to have a balance 😏 of nature." hands down one of the best transitions Brett has ever done🤣

She certainly set the example they followed.
Absolutely
Reminds me of Lloyd and Harry wiping their tears with $100 bills… cry me a river
I never understood celebrity obsession especially when people act all surprised when celebrities do human stuff like crying out loud they are human.
16 years old getting lip injections is wild. And I would bet my life savings Kylie had stuff done before that even. Terrible parenting to say the least
That transition from the content to your sponsors was on point.
I was around the same age group… do you remember when if you weren’t built like Kylie then you weren’t cute??!! It was INSANE!
I imagine Brett sitting at her dining room table laughing evilly thinking up the sponsor transitions, she seems so proud of herself XD
Lol
Will you start sharing the details of where your clothes are from in the description, I LOVE your style 😻

Lol.. you're silly..
How did anyone think they would get lips like that just with lipstick? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
she preyed on young kids with her products who likely didn't even know what fillers were, before she eventually confessed to and popularized the procedure.
Teen girls are easily duped.
People can be so gullible and even I fell for that during that time. But luckily I wanted to have smaller lips so I never craved lipstick or a lip liner.
it wasn't just the "over-lining", she also said she'd suck her lips into a small container to plump them. sometimes.. i still try that to this day 🤫
You're the only one who thinks that. Her makup line even HAS a LIP PLUMPER, genius. And YES they DO exist.
But Kylie did lie about not getting her lips done. She’d lie and say she only used her lip kit to get her full lips and there’s multiple interviews where she outright denies having had filler done 😂 “never denied it” Kylie PLEASE 🙄
Great video, that’s 1. 2! The way you incorporate an ad perfectly everytime is soooo convincing 😊
Lip fillers make women look like they're using wax lips we used to play around with then ate afterwards.😅
Lip filler is an instant no for me. I prefer them at a normal PSI
PSI killed me 😂😂😂

Omission of truth might as well be lying.
Lies of ommission.
This is why the oath you take to testify in court is "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth."
Those are the three forms of lying: A direct falsehood, A partial truth, and a mixture of true and false.
She was cashing in on everyone's insecurities and practically sold her personal life for a show and now she's crying that people are criticising for the same?!! What a hypocrite
Girl you talk fast 😅 thank you for covering this topic, she should absolutely take some responsibility. She was trying to sell a lifestyle or a look, and influence others, so people are allowed to be critical of her - especially since she’s lied a lot about work she’s had done (however, bullying is not okay). If it affects her so much, then she should pull away from the spotlight and/or set boundaries and stop reading sh*t about herself.
I think she’s just trying to appear relatable now, jumping onto the next “trend.” Or maybe she’s older now and is realizing what these cosmetics procedures can do in the long run. Don’t know, don’t care. I wish they would all disappear from our society, I never understood why they were famous…
Fillers, more fillers, and plastics.
How did they not know that they were turning into Barbie dolls??? 😮
Barbies face looks way more realistic and natural than all the kardashians. They look more like blow up dolls
HER SPONSORSHIPS ADS ARE SO SMOOTH I CAN'T 😭😧
Honestly, i don't hate the Kardashian/Jenner, BUT it's great that people stopped worshipping them. They still hold a lot of influence, but at least they also get [rightfully] call out for their bs.
In the words of Howard from BBT " you don't pray TO a shiksa goddess, you pray ON them"😂😂😂
I agree with much of what you said.
Those who follow a fool deserve the consequences of following a fool. I struggle to be nice to the "victims"/supporters/engines of their influence. It's like, "oh, let me add fuel to this fire and worship this fire" and then blame the fire for the destruction it caused....

I think that so many people are trying to be like celebrities because they are considered beautiful and the beauty standered that when celebrities act like it’s all natural and deny that they never had anything done (I’m not saying all celebrities are like this) I think that it can really hurt peoples confidence and make them think they are not good enough, I think that this video is a good example showing this. Anyway you are beautiful the way you are and thanks for another amazing video Brett!!!💕💕
The media was constantly fixated on her sisters looks and beauty, imagine being called the ugly sister. She was mocked for both getting lip filler and for needing lip filler, there is no way to win. She was so naturally beautiful yet the media mocked her, she was just a teenager, imagine how awful that would be. It was bad enough having a few comments from people in school, never mind thousands. She didn’t choose to be a celebrity, she was born into her status.
