Brett can just do what the Top Gear trio did some years ago: start a brand new show that's basically the same show while you watch the old show fall apart.

I was actually willing to believe the split was natural. Recently, Bretts life has changed significantly, she's gotten married, i wouldn't be surprised to find out she's getting ready for kids and backing off from the corporate structure to have a more flexible schedule. When you end something significant in your life, you can get emotional, even if it's ultimately a positive person decision.
The only thing that truly raises a red flag for me is the social media distancing Brett has done. Reagan wasn't just a colleague. She was her MOH. The fact that brett is no longer following her is the best indication that something sketchy did infact occur

Few of the anchors really get to have their own personality. They’re just faces reading the news, and the viewers associate it with “channel X news”. It’s a completely different model. I would be curious to see the stats on how many people searched “the comment section” versus “Brett cooper” when looking for her show. Because I almost always search by name. I think we have learned a major lesson with people like Candace, Brett, and Steven Crowder (even if Crowder is a bit unhinged). The lesson is that RUclips paved the way for independent creators to create independently. If you want to create content, don't sell your name, likeness, and soul to massive corporate entities. Will it be harder? Yes. Will it take more time to find success? Yes. But will the big company burn you eventually and take your content? Also Yes.

    • @janette2422
      @janette2422 Месяц назад +15

YES! 100% Like Crowder or hate him, the whole thing that he did airing out their 'contract' was legitimate and a good action. His personal failings have nothing to do with that and should be kept separate. It's clear that Ben owns the show there and he calls the shot ('co-founder' my rear!). His 'feelings' sure as hell mattered when Candace spoke up and said something she believed; but the DW took sides just as they have been good little boys on YT too (hence why they were never truly 'cancelled'). Instead of saying both sides have committed atrocities-which is true-Ben thought it was more important to kick out the third Catholic commentator who wasn't falling in line. I get that Matt has a big family and he's basically cursed with his contract at this point, but Michael has no problem falling instep either. Crowder's whistleblowing on that contract made me so sad when Brett started sponsoring (if you will) and staring in the new Snow White that they were producing. I figured she'd already signed one of those and it was going to get bad since she's so young. I watched and waited...and saw the result.

Let’s not forget that Brett didn’t have this massive channel on her own. She was a small channel in a sea of tons of other conservative women channels who do what is often called the “pick me girl” kinda content to appear as the small town wholesome girl Nextdoor every guy wishes he could find.
I’m not saying if the isn’t genuine or not in her portrayal. But I am there is a ton of channels just like her. But daily wire gave her the massive exposure to make her the brand and name she is today. She wouldn’t have has the 5 million or so subs if she had just had her own channel plugging away against the algorithm of RUclips.
But she also shouldn’t hate her best friend for taking over when the company of course offered her a ton of money.
I do think Brett getting married might have made them want to replace her. Kind of like how good looking young male singers act single to keep female fans. Maybe they think her being married and starting a family will change the dynamic.
Who knows, but the biggest thing to Remeber is the daily wire kinda made her and gave her the spotlight.

I think you’re wrong Brett wouldn’t be as big but I believe she would get decently big if her videos were the same. I didn’t know the daily wire before Brett tbh. They definitely help but if she had jump started this channel by herself with the same premise she would’ve gotten decently big as her the videos were good and she’s likable. I’d say she’d be around Sydney’s level with 1 mil maybe slightly less or more. Doesn’t excuse them if they wronged her in some way. Just saying and regarding the best friend thing. We don’t know any of the details so Brett could be overreacting or Reagan could’ve betrayed her as a friend. As a friend you don’t choose money with someone who did your friend bad over a real friend. Unless you struggling to take care of yourself and your family only then will a true friend understand. You might not have the same views but that where most people who are considered best friends stand. The daily wire could not have been paying her that much more than what Brett was offering and on the upside it’s always better working as an independent contractor/yourself than for a company who can and will lay you off or one you will end up leaving. If you have the opportunity to succeed building your own brand will always be better. That goes for any celeb that started their following with a company use those resources and skills to build your own simultaneously in the media business. Heck most of the time if you become big enough you still have a big following when you leave as the case is with Brett. She has a little over 1/8(of 4mil) of her following from the comment section and she has even posted yet.

Facts. I’m very much a proud Republican with moderate ideology. And as much as I love the Republican Party, I’m not blind to its faults. Every party and individuals have their faults. What we the people, should do is make sure our leaders are held accountable whenever wrong doing occurs. No matter our preferences.
What I’ve been worried about, is the pendulum swing effect. After the left took their ideologies way too far, I just hope that the right doesn’t do the same in response.

Ppl like DW were only moderate seeming, because they needed the support of moderates. As they get more support, gain back a bit of power in a way, they slide back to their old behaviours.
When they were in power, the Republican Party was all “women should stay at home, gays are bad, only Christians have rights”( I am being hyperbolic).
When the Far Left began to grow louder, the Right began to back off of those rhetorics. But just because you enter the “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” phase of the ‘war’, does not mean that it will last.
I noticed it at the beginning, how ppl like DW slowly backed off from the more extreme right leaning ways, slowly began to sound more moderate, opening their arms to those who were more centrist. And I have noticed how more right leaning they have been getting as things move more to their way. How those they accepted are being pushed aside, in some ways even attacked.

As far as this pendulum swing is concerned, we got the good ending with the election of Trump who is a mild reformer at best. Had Harris won then I would 100% agree with you about being concerned over a far right backlash due to the fact that the average person would be thinking that the moderate lost so we need to go further right.
If this sounds familiar, that’s because the far left are doing this right now. I wouldn’t worry about them much though unless the republicans screw around and not help Trump fulfill his agenda since his views are massively popular among the general public

I think it’s important to think about a few things here…
    1. We do not have any official statements from either Brett or Daily Wire about anything other than the resolving of the partnership. We don’t know any details for sure.
    2. NDA’s are not a gag order as much as a formality. They are rarely enforced and when they do they often backfire… look at McDonals going after a former employee and the massive stock dive they got forcing them to drop the legal action. I highly recommend anyone who is worried about them to look into them and try to understand them better. I think you’ll find they are more of a pleasantry than a gag. They just say that both parties won’t disclose or disparage each other and if one party breaks it the other is free of that obligation and can speak freely about the other. Not all NDA’s even have legal or financial penalties - just the threat of public relations fallout with a waiver of legal recourse for alleged disparagement.
    3. The comment section was a Daily Wire project that Brett Cooper was hired in to host. No one likes to leave a huge project you’ve been a part of, but the Daily Wire invested tons of money and resources into their project including paying Brett a lot of money.
    4. Brett is free to do her own thing.
I’ll leave a personal opinion here as well. If you agree with the conservative movement isn’t two people in this space better than one? There are people who like Reagan and a lot of people who like Brett. When Brett gets her new project up and going, isn’t it a good thing to have both her and Reagan making these videos?
Let’s wait to see what comes out of this. I’m sure with time we will get a clearer picture before speculating and letting it destroy our emotional state.

It's so strange listening to her talk about ndas as an American. Because it is so clear that they operate differently in Australia than here. In America, our labor laws make it very hard to enforce an NDA. The big issue is that companies have the money to still bring you to court over litigation even if it's frivolous and you just straight up. Cannot afford to defend yourself against them so most people don't push that envelope. Ndas in America only protect proprietary operations of a company aka the things that make that company unique and they prevent libel and slander. If you go out and publish that your company did a bad thing and it's true, they can sue you but they won't win. It's all the headache and money you'll spend along the way that makes people afraid.
